1 Псалом Аса́фів. Боже, погани ввійшли до спа́дку Твого́, занечи́стили храм Твій святий, Єрусалим на руїни змінили!

2 Рабів Твоїх трупи вони віддали́ на пожи́ву для птаства небесного, тіло Твоїх богобійних — звіри́ні земні́й.

3 Вони розливали їхню кров, немов воду, в око́лицях Єрусалиму, — і не було́ погреба́льників!

4 Ми стали за га́ньбу для наших сусідів, за нару́гу та по́сміх для наших око́лиць.

5 Аж до́ки, о Господи, гні́ватись будеш наза́вжди, доки буде пала́ти Твій гнів, як огонь?

6 Вилий Свій гнів на людей, що Тебе не пізнали, і на ца́рства, що Йме́ння Твого не кличуть,

7 бо вони з'їли Якова, а мешка́ння його опусто́шили!

8 Не пам'ята́й гріхів пре́дківських нам, — нехай попере́дить нас скоро Твоє милосердя, бо ми зо́всім осла́бли!

9 Поможи нам, Боже нашого спасі́ння, ради слави Йме́ння Твого, і збережи́ нас, і прости наші гріхи ради Ймення Свого́!

10 Чого будуть казати пога́ни: „Де їхній Бог?“ Нехай в наших оча́х між наро́дами стане відо́мою помста за проли́ту кров Твоїх рабів,

11 нехай перед лице Твоє ді́йде стогін в'я́зня! За великістю сили раме́на Твого збережи на смерть прироко́ваних!

12 А нашим сусідам верни семикра́тно на лоно їхнє їхню нару́гу, якою Тебе зневажа́ли, о Господи!

13 А ми, Твій наро́д і отара Твого пасови́ська, будем дя́кувати Тобі вічно, будем оповіда́ти про славу Твою з роду в рід!

3 Which834 we have heard8085 and known,3045 and our fathers1 have told5608 us.

4 We will not3808 hide3582 them from their children,4480 1121 showing5608 to the generation1755 to come314 the praises8416 of the LORD,3068 and his strength,5807 and his wonderful works6381 that834 he hath done.6213

5 For he established6965 a testimony5715 in Jacob,3290 and appointed7760 a law8451 in Israel,3478 which834 he commanded6680 853 our fathers,1 that they should make them known3045 to their children: 1121

6 That4616 the generation1755 to come314 might know3045 them, even the children1121 which should be born;3205 who should arise6965 and declare5608 them to their children: 1121
