1 Для дириґента хору. Псалом Давидів.

2 Блаже́нний, хто дбає про вбогого, — в день нещастя Господь порятує його!

3 Господь берегти́ме його та його оживля́тиме, буде блаженний такий на землі, і Він не видасть його на пота́лу його ворогам!

4 На ложі неду́ги подасть йому сили Госпо́дь, — усе ложе йому перемінить в неду́зі його.

5 Я промовив був: „Господи, май же Ти ми́лість до мене, ви́лікуй душу мою, бо я перед Тобою згрішив!

6 Вороги мої кажуть на мене лихе́: „Коли вмре та загине іме́ння його?“

7 А коли хто прихо́дить відві́дати, — мовить марне́: його серце збирає для себе лихе, і як вийде надві́р, то говорить про те.

8 Всі мої вороги між собою шепо́чуться ра́зом на мене, на ме́не лихе́ замишля́ють:

9 „Негі́дна річ тисне його, а що́ він поклався — то більше не встане!“

10 Навіть при́ятель мій, на якого наді́явся я, що мій хліб споживав, — підняв проти мене п'яту́!

11 Але, Господи, помилуй мене, і мене підійми́, — і я їм відплачу́, —

12 із то́го довідаюся, що Ти любиш мене, коли надо мною сурми́ти не буде мій ворог.

13 А я — через неви́нність мою Ти підси́лиш мене, і перед обличчям Своїм ти поста́виш навіки мене́!

14 Благословенний Господь, Бог Ізраїлів, від віку й до віку! Амі́нь і амі́нь!

2 He brought5927 me up also out of an horrible7588 pit,953 out of the miry3121 clay,2916 and set6965 my feet7272 on a rock,5553 and established3559 my goings.838

3 And he has put5414 a new2319 song7892 in my mouth,6310 even praise8416 to our God:430 many7227 shall see7200 it, and fear,3372 and shall trust982 in the LORD.3068

4 Blessed835 is that man1397 that makes7760 the LORD3068 his trust,4009 and respects6437 not the proud,7295 nor3808 such as turn7750 aside7847 to lies.3576

5 Many,7227 O LORD3068 my God,430 are your wonderful6381 works which you have done,6213 and your thoughts4284 which are to us-ward:413 they cannot408 be reckoned up in order6186 to you: if I would declare5046 and speak1696 of them, they are more6105 than can be numbered.5608

6 Sacrifice2077 and offering4503 you did not desire;2654 my ears241 have you opened:3738 burnt5930 offering and sin2401 offering have you not required.7592
