2 То добре, щоб дякувати Господе́ві й виспі́вувати Йме́ння Твоє, о Всевишній, |
|
3 вранці розповіда́ти про милість Твою, а ночами — про правду Твою — |
|
4 на десятистру́нній й на а́рфі, на лю́тні та гу́слах, |
|
5 бо потішив мене Ти, о Господи, вчинком Своїм, — про діла́ Твоїх рук я співаю! |
|
6 Які то вели́чні діла Твої, Господи, дуже глибокі думки́ Твої, |
|
7 — нерозумна люди́на не знає, а недо́умок не зрозуміє того́! |
|
8 Коли несправедливі ростуть, як трава, і цвітуть всі злочи́нці, то на те, щоб навіки були вони знищені, — |
|
9 а Ти, Господи, на висоті повік-віку! |
|
10 Бо ось вороги Твої, Господи, бо ось вороги Твої згинуть, розпоро́шаться всі беззако́нники! |
|
11 І Ти ро́га мого підні́с немов в одноро́жця, мене намастив Ти оливою свіжою. |
|
12 І дивилося око моє на зане́пад моїх ворогів, тих злочинців, що на мене встають, — почують про це мої уші! |
|
13 Зацвіте́ справедливий, як па́льма, і ви́женеться, немов кедр на Лива́ні, — |
|
14 посаджені в домі Господнім цвітуть на подві́р'ях нашого Бога, |
|
15 іще в сивині́ вони будуть цвісти́, будуть ситі та свіжі, |
|
16 щоб розповідати, що щирий Господь, моя скеля, і в Ньому неправди нема! |
PsalmsPsalm 91 |
|
1 HE who dwells in the protection of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. |
|
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in him will I trust. |
|
3 Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from vain gossip. |
|
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall trust; his truth shall be your shield and buckler. |
|
5 You shall not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day, |
|
6 Nor for the conspiracy that spreads in darkness; nor for the pestilence that wastes at noonday. |
|
7 Thousands shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. |
|
8 Only with your eyes shall you behold the reward of the wicked. |
|
9 For thou, O LORD, art my trust; thou hast established thy habitation in the highest. |
|
10 There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. |
|
11 For he shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. |
|
12 They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. |
|
13 You shall tread upon the viper and adder; you shall trample under foot the lion and the great serpent. |
|
14 Because he has loved me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known my name. |
|
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. |
|
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation. |

2 То добре, щоб дякувати Господе́ві й виспі́вувати Йме́ння Твоє, о Всевишній, |
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in him will I trust. |
|
3 вранці розповіда́ти про милість Твою, а ночами — про правду Твою — |
3 Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from vain gossip. |
|
4 на десятистру́нній й на а́рфі, на лю́тні та гу́слах, |
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall trust; his truth shall be your shield and buckler. |
|
5 бо потішив мене Ти, о Господи, вчинком Своїм, — про діла́ Твоїх рук я співаю! |
5 You shall not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day, |
|
6 Які то вели́чні діла Твої, Господи, дуже глибокі думки́ Твої, |
6 Nor for the conspiracy that spreads in darkness; nor for the pestilence that wastes at noonday. |

7 — нерозумна люди́на не знає, а недо́умок не зрозуміє того́! |
7 Thousands shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. |

8 Коли несправедливі ростуть, як трава, і цвітуть всі злочи́нці, то на те, щоб навіки були вони знищені, — |
8 Only with your eyes shall you behold the reward of the wicked. |
|
9 а Ти, Господи, на висоті повік-віку! |
9 For thou, O LORD, art my trust; thou hast established thy habitation in the highest. |
|
10 Бо ось вороги Твої, Господи, бо ось вороги Твої згинуть, розпоро́шаться всі беззако́нники! |
10 There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. |
|
11 І Ти ро́га мого підні́с немов в одноро́жця, мене намастив Ти оливою свіжою. |
11 For he shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. |
|
12 І дивилося око моє на зане́пад моїх ворогів, тих злочинців, що на мене встають, — почують про це мої уші! |
12 They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. |
|
13 Зацвіте́ справедливий, як па́льма, і ви́женеться, немов кедр на Лива́ні, — |
13 You shall tread upon the viper and adder; you shall trample under foot the lion and the great serpent. |
|
14 посаджені в домі Господнім цвітуть на подві́р'ях нашого Бога, |
14 Because he has loved me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known my name. |
|
15 іще в сивині́ вони будуть цвісти́, будуть ситі та свіжі, |
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. |
|
16 щоб розповідати, що щирий Господь, моя скеля, і в Ньому неправди нема! |
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation. |
