2 коли він підпалив був Ара́м двох річо́к і Ара́м Цови́, і коли вернувся Йоав і побив Едо́ма в Соляній долині, дванадцять тисяч. |
|
3 Боже, покинув Ти нас, розпоро́шив Ти нас, Ти нагні́вався був, — поверни́ся ж до нас! |
|
4 Ти землею затряс, і її розірвав, — уздоров же ула́мки її, бо вона захита́лась! |
|
5 Ти вчинив, що наро́д Твій побачив тяжке́, напоїв нас отру́тним вином. |
|
6 Ти дав пра́пора тим, хто боїться Тебе, щоб збирались вони перед правдою. Се́ла. |
|
7 Щоб любі Твої були ви́зволені, Своєю правицею допоможи́, й обізви́ся до нас! |
|
8 У святині Своїй Бог промовив: „Нехай розвеселю́сь, — розділю́ Я Сихе́м і долину Сукко́тську поміряю! |
|
9 Належить Мені Ґілеа́д, Мені Манасі́я, а Єфрем — охоро́на Моїй голові́, Юда — бе́рло Моє. |
|
10 Моа́в — то мідни́ця Мого миття́, на Едо́м узуття́м Своїм кину, филисте́ю, — вигукуй для Мене із радістю!“ |
|
11 Хто мене запрова́дить до міста тверди́нного, хто́ до Едо́му мене попрова́дить? |
|
12 Хіба́ ж Ти покинув нас, Боже, і серед нашого війська не ви́йдеш вже, Боже? |
|
13 Подай же нам поміч на ворога, лю́дська бо поміч — марно́та! |
|
14 Ми мужність ви́явимо в Бозі, — і Він пото́пче противників наших! |

|
1 DELIVER me from mine enemies, O God; defend me from them that rise up against me. |
|
2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men. |
|
3 For, 1o, they lie in wait for my soul; evil have they multiplied against me; not because I have transgressed or because I have sinned, O LORD. |
|
4 They run and prepare themselves against me without considering whether I have been at fault; |
|
5 Awake to help me, and behold, O thou LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the nations, and spare not any wicked transgressors. |
|
6 They return at evening; they make a noise like dogs, and go round about the city. |
|
7 Behold, they belch out with their mouths; swords are in their lips; for who, say they, does care? |
|
8 But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the nations in derision. |
|
9 To thee shall I give praise, O God, for thou art my defense. |
|
10 O God, thy lovingkindness has preceded me; God has let me live to see my enemies avenged. |
|
11 Spare them for a living example, lest my people forget; but scatter them by thy power, and bring them down, O LORD my hope. |
|
12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips. let them even be taken in their pride; for it is cursing and lying that they speak. |
|
13 Consume them in thy wrath, consume them, that they be no more, that they may know that God rules over Jacob and over the ends of the earth. |
|
14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like dogs, and go round about the city. |

2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men. |
