Псалом 59

1 Начальнику хора. На музыкальном орудии Шушан Эдуф. Писание Давидово. Для изучения.

2 Когда он воевал с Сириею Месопотамской и Сириею Цованскою, и когда Иоав, возвращаясь, поразил двенадцать тысяч Идумеев на долине соляной.

3 Боже, Ты вознегодовал на нас, рассыпал нас, Ты прогневался; восстанови нас.

4 Ты потряс землю, сокрушил ее; скрепи ее трещины, ибо она колеблется.

5 Ты дал истытать народу Твоему жестокий жребий, напоил нас вином изумления.

6 Подними знамя для боящихся Тебя, дабы они спаслись от лука, (Села.)

7 Дабы избавились возлюбленные Твои. Спаси десницею Твоею и услыши меня.

8 Бог сказал во святилище Своем: восторжествую, разделю Сихем, и долину Сокхов размерю.

9 Мой Галаад, Мой Манассия, Ефрем крепость главы Моей, Иуда скипетр Мой,

10 Моав умывальная чаша Моя, Едому простру сапог Мой. Восклицай мне, Филистимская земля!

11 Кто поведет меня в крепкий город? Кто проведет меня до Едома?

12 Не Ты ли, Боже, Который отринул нас, и не ходишь, Боже, в войсках наших?

13 Подай нам помощь в тесноте. Защита же человеческая суетна.

14 Богом мы сильны; Он попирает врагов наших.

Psalm 59

1 DELIVER me from mine enemies, O God; defend me from them that rise up against me.

2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

3 For, 1o, they lie in wait for my soul; evil have they multiplied against me; not because I have transgressed or because I have sinned, O LORD.

4 They run and prepare themselves against me without considering whether I have been at fault;

5 Awake to help me, and behold, O thou LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the nations, and spare not any wicked transgressors.

6 They return at evening; they make a noise like dogs, and go round about the city.

7 Behold, they belch out with their mouths; swords are in their lips; for who, say they, does care?

8 But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the nations in derision.

9 To thee shall I give praise, O God, for thou art my defense.

10 O God, thy lovingkindness has preceded me; God has let me live to see my enemies avenged.

11 Spare them for a living example, lest my people forget; but scatter them by thy power, and bring them down, O LORD my hope.

12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips. let them even be taken in their pride; for it is cursing and lying that they speak.

13 Consume them in thy wrath, consume them, that they be no more, that they may know that God rules over Jacob and over the ends of the earth.

14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like dogs, and go round about the city.
