1 Начальнику хора. Учение Давидово.

2 Когда пришел Доиг Идумеянин и донес Саулу, и сказал ему, что Давид пришел в дом Ахимелеха.

3 Что хвалишься злодейством, сильный? Милость Божия всякий день со мною.

4 Гибель вымышляет язык твой; он, как изощренная бритва, у тебя, коварный!

5 Ты любишь более зло, нежели добро, более лгать, нежели говорить правду. (Села.)

6 Ты любишь всякие речи гибельные и язык коварный.

7 За то Бог ниспровергнет Тебя в конец, изринет тебя и исторгнет тебя из жилища, и корень твой из земли живых.

8 Увидят праведники и убоятся, и с посмеянием над ним [скажут: ]

9 Вот человек, который не в Боге полагал свою крепость, а надеялся на множество богатства своего, укреплялся своим губительством.

10 А я, как маслина, зеленеющая в доме Божием, надеюсь на милость Божию вечно и непрестанно.

11 Вечно буду славить Тебя, ибо Ты благотворишь, и уповать на имя Твое; ибо Ты благ к святым Твоим.
