Chapter 39

1 AT that time Merodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and presents to Hezekiah; for he had heard that he had been sick and was healed.

2 And Hezekiah was glad to receive them, and showed them his treasure house, the silver and the gold and the spices and the precious ointment and all the house of his armor and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house nor in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them.

3 Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him. What did these men say to you? And from whence did they come to you? And Hezekiah said, They have come from a far country to me, even from Babylon.

4 Then said he, What have they seen in your house? And Hezekiah answered, They have seen all the things that are in my house; I have left nothing in my house that I have not showed them.

5 Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:

6 Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says the LORD.

7 And some of your sons that shall issue from you, whom you shall beget, they shall take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

8 Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which you have spoken. For there shall be peace and truth in my days.

2 Des freuete sich8055 Hiskia2396 und zeigte7200 ihnen das1697 Schatzhaus1004, Silber3701 und Gold2091 und Spezerei1314, köstliche Salben8081 und alle seine Zeughäuser und allen1004 Schatz214, den er hatte7200. Nichts war2896, das ihnen Hiskia2396 nicht zeigte in seinem Hause1004 und in seiner Herrschaft4475.

3 Da kam935 der Prophet5030 Jesaja3470 zum Könige4428 Hiskia2396 und776 sprach559 zu ihm: Was sagen559 diese Männer582 und von wannen kommen935 sie zu dir? Hiskia2396 sprach559: Sie kommen935 von ferne7350 zu mir, nämlich von Babel894.

4 Er aber sprach559: Was haben sie in deinem Hause1004 gesehen7200? Hiskia2396 sprach559: Alles, was in meinem Hause1004 ist7200, haben sie gesehen7200; und ist nichts, das1697 ich ihnen nicht hätte gezeiget in meinen Schätzen214.

5 Und Jesaja3470 sprach559 zu8085 Hiskia2396: Höre das Wort1697 des HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635!

6 Siehe, es kommt935 die Zeit3117, daß alles, was in deinem Hause1004 ist3498 und was deine Väter1 gesammelt haben686 bis auf5375 diesen Tag3117, wird gen Babel894 gebracht werden, daß nichts1697 bleiben wird, spricht559 der HErr3068.

7 Dazu werden3205 sie deine Kinder1121, so von dir kommen3318 werden und du zeugen wirst, nehmen3947, und müssen Kämmerer5631 sein im Hofe1964 des Königs4428 zu Babel894.

8 Und3117 Hiskia2396 sprach559 zu Jesaja3470: Das Wort1697 des HErrn3068 ist1696 gut2896, das du sagest. Und sprach559: Es sei nur Friede7965 und Treue571, weil ich lebe!
