|
1 BEHOLD, the LORD'S hand is not so short, that it cannot save; neither is his ear dull that it cannot hear; |
|
2 But it is your iniquities that have separated you and your God; and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. |
|
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue mutters wickedness. |
|
4 There is no one who calls for justice, neither is there any one who judges faithfully; they trust in vanity and speak lies; they conceive iniquity and bring forth grief. |
|
5 They hatch adder's eggs, and weave a spider's web; he who eats of their eggs shall die, and those which hatch out will be found to be vipers. |
|
6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works; their works are works of iniquity, and acts of violence are in their hands. |
|
7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; plunder and destruction are in their paths. |
|
8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no justice in their ways; they have made their paths crooked; whosoever walks in them shall not know peace. |
|
9 Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not overtake us; we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. |
|
10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope like men who have no eyes; we stumble at noonday as in the night; we groan as those who are near death. |
|
11 We all roar like bears, and mourn sore like doves; we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. |
|
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us; our iniquities are with us, and our sins are well known: |
|
13 Transgressing and lying against the LORD, turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and devising in our heart words of falsehood. |
|
14 Judgment is turned backward, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. |
|
15 Yea, truth is hid, and understanding has departed from our mind; the LORD saw that there was no justice, and he was displeased. |
|
16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no one to help; therefore his arm brought salvation to him, and his righteousness sustained him. |
|
17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, |
|
18 That he may seek vengeance upon those who hate him, and retribution to his adversaries, and to the islands he will render recompense. |
|
19 So shall they revere the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. For the oppressor shall come in like a flood, and the Spirit of the LORD shall humble him. |
|
20 And a Saviour shall come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, says the LORD. |
|
21 As for me, this is my covenant with you, says the LORD: my spirit that is upon you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your descendants, nor out of the mouth of your descendant's descendants, says the LORD, from henceforth and for ever. |

2 бо то тільки пере́ступи ваші відді́лювали вас від вашого Бога, і ваші прови́ни хова́ли обличчя Його від вас, щоб Він не почув, — |
|
3 бо ваші долоні запля́млені кров'ю, ваші ж пальці — беззаконням, уста ваші гово́рять неправду, язик ваш белько́че лихе! |
|
4 Немає ніко́го, хто б кликав на суд, і нікого нема, хто судився б попра́вді, — кожен надію кладе на марно́ту й говорить неправду, вагітні́є бідою й поро́джує зло́чин! |
|
5 Виси́джують я́йця гадю́чі та тчуть павути́ння: хто з'їсть з їхніх яєць, помирає, а з розбитого — га́дина ви́йде. |
|
6 Нитки їхні не стануть одежею, і ви́робами своїми вони не покри́ються: їхні діла́ — діла кривди, і в їхніх рука́х — чин наси́льства. |
|
7 Їхні но́ги біжать на лихе, і спішать проливати неви́нну кров, їхні думки́ — думки кривдні, руїна й поги́біль на їхніх доро́гах! |
|
8 Доро́ги споко́ю не знають, і правосу́ддя немає на їхніх стежка́х, — вони покрутили собі свої сте́жки, і кожен, хто нею ступає, не знає споко́ю. |
|
9 Тому́ віддали́лося право від нас, і не сяга́є до нас справедли́вість! чекаємо світла, — та ось темнота́, чекаємо ся́йва — та й у те́мнощах хо́димо! |
|
10 Ми ма́цаємо, мов невидю́щі, за сті́ну, навпо́мацки хо́димо, мов ті безо́кі; спотика́ємося ми опі́вдні, немов би смерко́м, між здоровими ми, як померлі! |
|
11 Усі ми реве́мо, як ведме́ді, і мов голуби́ ті постійно ворко́чемо, чекаємо права — й немає, спасі́ння — й від нас віддали́лось воно. |
|
12 Бо помно́жились наші пере́ступи перед Тобою, і свідку́ють на нас гріхи наші, бо з нами пере́ступи наші, а наші прови́ни — ми знаємо їх! |
|
13 Ми зраджували й говорили неправду на Господа, і повідступа́ли від нашого Бога, казали про у́тиск та ві́дступ, вагітні́ли й виду́мували з свого серця слова́ неправди́ві. |
|
14 І правосу́ддя наза́д відступи́лося, а справедливість здале́ка стоїть, бо на майда́ні спіткну́лася правда, праведність ж не може прийти, — |
|
15 і правда зникла, а той, хто від злого відходить, грабо́ваний. І це бачить Господь, — і лихе в Його о́чах, що права нема! |
|
16 І Він бачив, що немає ніко́го, і дивува́всь, що немає засту́пника. Та раме́но Його Йому допомогло́, і Його праведність підпе́рла Його, — |
|
17 і Він зодягну́в праведність, як па́нцер, а шоло́ма спасі́ння — на Свою голову, і зодягну́в шати по́мсти, як одяг, і покри́вся горли́вістю, мов би плаще́м! |
|
18 Надолу́жить Він гнівом Своїм ворога́м згідно з учи́нками їхніми. Своїм супроти́вним — запла́тою, острова́м надолу́жить запла́ту. |
|
19 І будуть боятися Йме́ння Господнього з за́ходу, а слави Його́ — зо схід сонця, бо при́йде, як річка рвучка́, — вітер Господній її пожене́, — |
|
20 і при́йде Викупи́тель Сіо́нові й тим, хто вернувся із про́гріху в Якові, каже Господь. |
|
21 А Я — ось із ними умова Моя, говорить Господь: Мій Дух, який на тобі, та слова́ Мої, що поклав Я до уст твоїх, не усту́плять вони з твоїх уст, і з уст наща́дків твоїх, і з уст нащадків пото́мства твого́, говорить Господь, відтепе́р й аж навіки! |

1 BEHOLD, the LORD'S hand is not so short, that it cannot save; neither is his ear dull that it cannot hear; |

2 бо то тільки пере́ступи ваші відді́лювали вас від вашого Бога, і ваші прови́ни хова́ли обличчя Його від вас, щоб Він не почув, — |

3 бо ваші долоні запля́млені кров'ю, ваші ж пальці — беззаконням, уста ваші гово́рять неправду, язик ваш белько́че лихе! |

7 Їхні но́ги біжать на лихе, і спішать проливати неви́нну кров, їхні думки́ — думки кривдні, руїна й поги́біль на їхніх доро́гах! |

13 Ми зраджували й говорили неправду на Господа, і повідступа́ли від нашого Бога, казали про у́тиск та ві́дступ, вагітні́ли й виду́мували з свого серця слова́ неправди́ві. |

14 І правосу́ддя наза́д відступи́лося, а справедливість здале́ка стоїть, бо на майда́ні спіткну́лася правда, праведність ж не може прийти, — |

15 і правда зникла, а той, хто від злого відходить, грабо́ваний. І це бачить Господь, — і лихе в Його о́чах, що права нема! |

21 А Я — ось із ними умова Моя, говорить Господь: Мій Дух, який на тобі, та слова́ Мої, що поклав Я до уст твоїх, не усту́плять вони з твоїх уст, і з уст наща́дків твоїх, і з уст нащадків пото́мства твого́, говорить Господь, відтепе́р й аж навіки! |
