Psalm 20

1 MAY the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

2 Send you help from his sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion.

3 Let the LORD remember all your offerings, and make acceptable your burnt sacrifices.

4 May the LORD grant you according to your own heart, and fulfil all your counsel.

5 We will be glorified in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will be exalted; the LORD fulfil all your petitions.

6 Henceforth it is known that the LORD has saved his anointed; and has heard him from his holy heaven and saved with the strength of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will prevail through the name of the LORD our God.

8 They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen and stand ready.

9 O LORD, save us, and let our King answer us in the day when we call upon him.

1 Дирижёру хора. Песнь Давида.

2 Силе Твоей, Господь, радуется царь. Счастлив он, когда Ты даёшь ему победу.

3 Исполнением желаний его Ты наградил, и прошения уст его Ты не отверг. Селах

4 Своё благословение Ты ему подарил, увенчал его золотою короной.

5 Он просил Тебя жизнь ему даровать, и Ты внял его просьбе, дав ему жизнь, продолжающуюся вечно.

6 Ты победу ему даровал, велики слава и величие его.

7 Вечное благословение Ты ему даровал. Он Твоим присутствием счастлив.

8 Царь верит в верную любовь Господа, и поэтому Всевышний защитит его.

9 Господи, ты явишь силу Свою, победишь врага Своею справедливою рукою.
