2 І Мої у́ста вчинив Він, як той гострий меч, заховав Мене в ті́ні Своєї руки, і Мене вчинив за добі́рну стрілу́, в Своїм сагайдаці́ заховав Він Мене. |
|
3 І до Мене прорік: Ти раб Мій, Ізраїлю, Яким Я просла́влюсь! |
|
4 І Я відповів: Надаре́мно трудивсь Я, на порожне́чу й марно́ту зужив Свою силу: Справді ж з Господом право Моє, і нагоро́да Моя з Моїм Богом. |
|
5 Тепер же промовив Господь, що Мене вформува́в Собі від живота́ за раба́, щоб наверну́ти Собі Якова, і щоб Ізраїль для Нього був зі́браний. І був Я шано́ваний в о́чах Господніх, а Мій Бог стався міццю Моєю. |
|
6 І Він сказав: Того мало, щоб був Ти Мені за раба́, щоб віднови́ти племе́на Якова, щоб вернути врято́ваних Ізраїля, але́ Я вчиню́ Тебе світлом наро́дів, щоб був Ти спасі́нням Моїм аж до кра́ю землі! |

7 Так говорить Господь, Відкупи́тель Ізраїлів, Святий його, до пого́рдженого на душі, до обри́дженого від людей, до раба тих воло́дарів: Побачать царі, і князі́ повстають, — і покло́няться ради Господа, що вірний, ради Святого Ізраїлевого, що ви́брав Тебе. |

8 Так говорить Господь: За ча́су вподо́бання Я відповів Тобі, в день спасі́ння Тобі допоміг, і стерегти́му Тебе, і дам Я Тебе заповітом наро́дові, щоб край обнови́ти, щоб поділити спа́дки спусто́шені, |
|
9 щоб в'я́зням сказати: „Вихо́дьте“, а тим, хто в темно́ті: „З'яві́ться!“ При дорогах вони будуть па́стися, і по всіх ли́сих горбо́винах їхні пасови́ська. |
|
10 Не будуть голодні вони, ані спра́гнені, і не вдарить їх спе́ка, ні сонце, — бо Той, Хто їх милує, їх попрова́дить і до во́дних джере́л поведе́ їх. |
|
11 І вчиню Я всі го́ри Свої за доро́гу, і піді́ймуться биті шляхи́ Мої. |
|
12 Ось ці зда́лека при́йдуть, а ці ось із пі́вночі й з за́ходу, а ці з кра́ю Сіні́м. |
|
13 Раді́йте, небеса́, звесели́ся ти, земле, ви ж, го́ри, втіша́йтеся співом, бо Госпо́дь звесели́в Свій наро́д, і змилувався над Своїми убогими! |
|
14 І сказав був Сіон: Господь кинув мене́, і Господь мій про ме́не забув. |
|
15 Чи ж жінка забу́де своє немовля́, щоб не пожаліти їй сина утроби своєї? Та коли б вони позабува́ли, то Я не забу́ду про тебе! |
|
16 Отож на долонях Свої́х тебе ви́різьбив Я, твої мури поза́всіди передо Мною. |
|
17 Сино́ве твої поспіша́ться до тебе, а ті, хто руйнує тебе й ті, хто нищить тебе, повідхо́дять від тебе. |
|
18 Здійми свої очі навко́ло й побач: всі вони позбиралися й йдуть ось до те́бе! Як живий Я, говорить Господь: усіх їх, як оздо́бу, зодя́гнеш, та підв'я́жешся ними, немов нарече́на. |
|
19 Бо руїни твої та пустині твої, і зруйно́ваний край твій тепер справді стануть тісни́ми для ме́шканців, і будуть відда́лені ті, хто тебе руйнував. |
|
20 Іще до вух твоїх скажуть сино́ве сирі́тства твого: Тісне́ мені місце оце, посунься для мене, й я сяду! |
|
21 І ти скажеш у серці своїм: Хто мені їх зродив, як була осиро́чена я та самі́тна, була ви́гнана та заблуди́ла? І хто ви́ховав їх? Я зоста́лась сама, а ці, — зві́дки вони? |
|
22 Так сказав Господь Бог: Ось Я підійму́ Свою руку до лю́дів, і піднесу́ до наро́дів прапора Свого́, — і позно́сять синів твоїх в па́зусі, а до́чок твоїх поприно́сять на пле́чах. |
|
23 І будуть царі за твоїх вихова́телів, а їхні цариці — за ня́ньок твоїх. Лицем до землі вони будуть вклоня́тись тобі та лиза́тимуть пил твоїх ніг, і ти пізна́єш, що Я — то Господь, що не посоро́мляться ті, хто на Мене наді́ється! |
|
24 Чи ж від сильного буде відня́та здобич, і чи награ́боване ґвалтівнико́м урято́ване буде? |
|
25 Бо Господь каже так: Полонені віді́брані будуть від сильного, і врято́вана буде здобич наси́льника, і Я стану на прю із твоїми супере́чниками, синів же твоїх Я спасу́. |
|
26 І Я зму́шу твоїх гноби́телів їсти тіло своє, і вони повпива́ються власною кров'ю, немов би вином молоди́м. І пізнає тоді кожне тіло, що Я — то Госпо́дь, твій Спаситель та твій Відкупи́тель, Поту́жний Яковів! |

|
1 LSTEN to me, O isles; hearken to me, O you nations, the LORD has called me from afar; from the womb, and from the body of my mother has he made mention of my name. |
|
2 He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me and made me a chosen arrow; in his quiver has he hid me, |
|
3 And said to me, You are my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. |
|
4 I have not said to the descendants of Jacob that I have labored in vain, nor that I have spent my strength for nought. Surely my judgment is before the LORD, and my work before my God. |
|
5 Now, thus says the LORD, who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel together; I am glorified in the eyes of the LORD, and my God has become my strength. |
|
6 And he said: It is a small thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the scions of Israel; I have given you to be a light to the Gentiles, that you might be my salvation to the ends of the earth. |
|
7 Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel and his Saviour, to him whose soul is despised, to him who is abhorred by the people and by the servants of the rulers: Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship him, because of the LORD who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel who has chosen you. |
|
8 Thus says the LORD: In an acceptable time I have answered you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you; and I have formed you and have given you for a covenant to the people and a light to the Gentiles, to establish the earth, to cause you to possess the desolate heritages; |
|
9 That you may say to the prisoners, Go forth; to those who are shut up, Show yourselves. Come out. They shall feed in the paths and their pastures shall be in all highways. |
|
10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the sultry heat nor the sun smite them; for he who is merciful to them shall lead them, and by the springs of water shall he bring them. |
|
11 And I will make all mountains to be highways, and the highways shall be exalted. |
|
12 Behold, these shall come from afar, and 1o, these from the north and from the islands of the sea, and these from the coast of Sinim. |
|
13 Sing, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains; for the LORD has comforted his people and will have mercy upon his afflicted. |
|
14 But Zion said, The LORD has forsaken me and the LORD has forgotten me. |
|
15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, but I will not forget you. |
|
16 Behold, I have inscribed you upon the palms of my hands; your fortified walls are continually before me. |
|
17 Your sons who caused your destruction and those who laid you waste shall make haste to go forth from you. |
|
18 Lift up your eyes round about and behold; they all gather themselves together and come to you. As I live, says the LORD, you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and you shall be adorned like a bride. |
|
19 For your waste and your desolate places and the land of your destruction shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up shall flee away. |
|
20 The children which you shall have during the time of your bereavement shall say again in your ears, The place is too narrow for us; make room for us to dwell. |
|
21 Then you shall say in your heart, Who has borne me these? For, behold, I have been bereaved and barren, a captive, and wandering to and fro. And who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; and these children, where have they been? |
|
22 Thus says the LORD God: Behold, I will lift up my hand to the Gentiles and set up my standard to the nations; and they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. |
|
23 And kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers; they shall bow down to you with their faces to the ground and shall lick the dust off your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD; for they who wait for me shall not be ashamed. |
|
24 Can the prey be taken away from the mighty, or a giant's captives be delivered? |
|
25 For thus says the LORD: Even the prey of the mighty shall be taken away, and the captives of the mighty shall be delivered; and I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children. |
|
26 And I will cause your oppressors to eat their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood as with new wine; and all men shall know that I the LORD am your Saviour and your Helper, the Mighty One of Jacob. |

2 І Мої у́ста вчинив Він, як той гострий меч, заховав Мене в ті́ні Своєї руки, і Мене вчинив за добі́рну стрілу́, в Своїм сагайдаці́ заховав Він Мене. |

5 Now, thus says the LORD, who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel together; I am glorified in the eyes of the LORD, and my God has become my strength. |

6 І Він сказав: Того мало, щоб був Ти Мені за раба́, щоб віднови́ти племе́на Якова, щоб вернути врято́ваних Ізраїля, але́ Я вчиню́ Тебе світлом наро́дів, щоб був Ти спасі́нням Моїм аж до кра́ю землі! |
6 And he said: It is a small thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the scions of Israel; I have given you to be a light to the Gentiles, that you might be my salvation to the ends of the earth. |

7 Так говорить Господь, Відкупи́тель Ізраїлів, Святий його, до пого́рдженого на душі, до обри́дженого від людей, до раба тих воло́дарів: Побачать царі, і князі́ повстають, — і покло́няться ради Господа, що вірний, ради Святого Ізраїлевого, що ви́брав Тебе. |

11 І вчиню Я всі го́ри Свої за доро́гу, і піді́ймуться биті шляхи́ Мої. |
11 And I will make all mountains to be highways, and the highways shall be exalted. |
|
12 Ось ці зда́лека при́йдуть, а ці ось із пі́вночі й з за́ходу, а ці з кра́ю Сіні́м. |
12 Behold, these shall come from afar, and 1o, these from the north and from the islands of the sea, and these from the coast of Sinim. |
|
13 Раді́йте, небеса́, звесели́ся ти, земле, ви ж, го́ри, втіша́йтеся співом, бо Госпо́дь звесели́в Свій наро́д, і змилувався над Своїми убогими! |
13 Sing, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains; for the LORD has comforted his people and will have mercy upon his afflicted. |
|
14 І сказав був Сіон: Господь кинув мене́, і Господь мій про ме́не забув. |
14 But Zion said, The LORD has forsaken me and the LORD has forgotten me. |
|
15 Чи ж жінка забу́де своє немовля́, щоб не пожаліти їй сина утроби своєї? Та коли б вони позабува́ли, то Я не забу́ду про тебе! |
15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, but I will not forget you. |
|
16 Отож на долонях Свої́х тебе ви́різьбив Я, твої мури поза́всіди передо Мною. |

20 Іще до вух твоїх скажуть сино́ве сирі́тства твого: Тісне́ мені місце оце, посунься для мене, й я сяду! |
20 The children which you shall have during the time of your bereavement shall say again in your ears, The place is too narrow for us; make room for us to dwell. |
|
21 І ти скажеш у серці своїм: Хто мені їх зродив, як була осиро́чена я та самі́тна, була ви́гнана та заблуди́ла? І хто ви́ховав їх? Я зоста́лась сама, а ці, — зві́дки вони? |

23 And kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers; they shall bow down to you with their faces to the ground and shall lick the dust off your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD; for they who wait for me shall not be ashamed. |
|
24 Чи ж від сильного буде відня́та здобич, і чи награ́боване ґвалтівнико́м урято́ване буде? |
24 Can the prey be taken away from the mighty, or a giant's captives be delivered? |
|
25 Бо Господь каже так: Полонені віді́брані будуть від сильного, і врято́вана буде здобич наси́льника, і Я стану на прю із твоїми супере́чниками, синів же твоїх Я спасу́. |
25 For thus says the LORD: Even the prey of the mighty shall be taken away, and the captives of the mighty shall be delivered; and I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children. |
|
26 І Я зму́шу твоїх гноби́телів їсти тіло своє, і вони повпива́ються власною кров'ю, немов би вином молоди́м. І пізнає тоді кожне тіло, що Я — то Госпо́дь, твій Спаситель та твій Відкупи́тель, Поту́жний Яковів! |
26 And I will cause your oppressors to eat their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood as with new wine; and all men shall know that I the LORD am your Saviour and your Helper, the Mighty One of Jacob. |
