Chapter 66

1 THUS says the LORD: Heaven is my throne and the earth my footstool; what is the house that you build for me? And what is the place of my rest?

2 For all those things has my own hand made, and all those things belong to me, says the LORD; and to whom shall I look, and where shall I dwell? But to him who is calm and humble, and trembles at my word.

3 He who kills an ox is like him who slays a man; he who sacrifices a lamb is like him who kills a dog; he who offers a meal offering is like him who offers swine's blood; he who burns incense is like him who blesses an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their idols.

4 I also will allow them to be humiliated and will recompense them according to their works; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not listen; but they did evil in my sight, and chose the things in which I delighted not.

5 Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word; say to your brethren who hate you and who despise you for my name's sake, Let the LORD be glorified, and rejoice in your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

6 A voice of tumult comes from the city, a voice from the temple, the voice of the LORD who renders recompense to his enemies!

7 Before she travailed, she gave birth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a male child.

8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born in an hour? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD; perhaps it is not I who causes to bring forth and who shuts the womb? says the LORD your God.

10 Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad with her, all you who love her; rejoice in joy with her, all you who mourn over her,

11 That you may suck and be satisfied with the comfort of her breast; that you may milk out and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

12 For thus says the LORD: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, like an overflowing torrent; and you shall suck the glory of the Gentiles; and you shall be carried on the litters and be dandled upon the knees;

13 As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

14 And when you shall see this, your heart shall rejoice and your bones shall flourish like tender grass; and the hand of the LORD shall be stretched out toward his servants, and he shall destroy his enemies.

15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire and with his chariot like a whirlwind, to pour out his anger with fury and his rebuke with flames of fire.

16 For by fire will the LORD judge, and by it will he test all flesh; and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

17 Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves in the gardens, following one after another in the midst, eating swine's flesh and creeping things and mice, shall be consumed together, says the LORD.

18 For I know their works and their thoughts; when I come to gather all nations and tongues, they shall come and see my glory.

19 I will set a sign among them, and those who escape I will send among the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, and to the islands afar off that have not heard my fame, neither have they seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

20 And upon horses and in chariots and in litters they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to the LORD out of all nations to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring a meal offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

21 And I will also take some of them for priests and for Levites, says the LORD.

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will snake shall remain before me, says the LORD, So shall your descendants and your name remain.

23 And it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another and from one sabbath to another all flesh shall come to worship before me, says the LORD.

24 And they shall go forth and look on the dead bodies of the men that have transgressed against me; for their coals shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.

1 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Небо — престол Мой, а земля — место, где утвердил Я стопы Свои. Где же вы построите Мне Храм и какое найдете место, где пребывал бы Я?

2 Всё это рукой Моей создано и Мне принадлежит всё это, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ. — Но вот что Я жажду увидеть: человека смиренного и сокрушенного духом, того, кто внемлет трепетно словам Моим.

3 Что же до тех, кто приносит в жертву быков и убивает людей: они могут ягненка в Храме заколоть, а могут и пса задушить; могут дар хлебный возложить, но могут и кровь свиную пролить; таковые ладан Господу воскуряют и истуканов славят. Все они решили идти своим путем: мерзкое по нраву им.

4 Потому и Я решу осмеянию подвергнуть их: чего боятся они, то и наведу на них — ведь взывал Я к ним, а они не отвечали, говорил — не слушали, творили они, что Я считаю злом, избрали, что Мне неугодно».

5 Выслушайте же слово ГОСПОДНЕ вы, кто трепетно Ему внимает! Ваши братья, которые ненавидят вас и изгоняют из-за имени Моего, говорят: «Пусть явит ГОСПОДЬ славу Свою, посмотрим тогда на вашу радость!» — таковых посрамление ждет.

6 Доносится гул из города, слышен голос из Храма — голос ГОСПОДА это, воздающего врагам Своим!

7 Еще и схваток не было у нее, а уже родила; не испытав боли, разрешилась от бремени сыном!

8 Слыхал ли кто о таком? Видел ли подобное? Возникает ли страна в один день? Рождается ли народ в одночасье? А к Сиону, матери вашей, едва схватки пришли, как дети уже родились!

9 «Доведу ли до схваток дело, — спрашивает ГОСПОДЬ, — а потом не дам разрешиться?» «Задержу ли дитя выходящее Я — Тот, Кто дарует жизнь?» — говорит Бог твой.

10 Веселитесь вместе со столицей, радуйтесь с ней все, кто любит ее; ликуйте с ней все, кто оплакивал ее!

11 Она насытит вас, как младенцев, у груди ее утешитесь, безмерно насладитесь молоком, коим полна ее грудь.

12 Ибо так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Благоденствие потечет к ней рекой, достояние народов — полноводным потоком; будет она кормить вас, носить на руках, и голубить вас, посадив на колени.

13 Как родная мать свое дитя утешает, так и Я вас утешу, будет Иерусалим утешением вашим!»

14 Увидите это, и обрадуется ваше сердце, и тело расцветет, как ранние побеги, сила ГОСПОДНЯ явит себя на рабах Его, а негодование — на Его врагах.

15 Вот ГОСПОДЬ грядет в огне, словно вихрь — колесницы Его, в ярости изольет Он гнев Свой, в языках пламени изобличение Свое явит.

16 Совершит огнем и мечом ГОСПОДЬ Свой суд над всеми живущими; и повергнет многих ГОСПОДЬ.

17 «Те же, кто освящают себя, очищают в садах, следуя за первым из них, кто свинину ест, и мышей, и прочую всякую мерзость, таковые все разом погибнут», — таково слово ГОСПОДНЕ.

18 «Знаю Я дела их и мысли; приходит час, когда соберу Я народы и языки — они придут и увидят Мою славу.

19 Явлю Я среди них знаменье: тех из них, кто там уцелеет, Я пошлю к народам: в Таршиш пошлю, Ливию, Лидию — к тем, кто натягивает тетиву; в Тувал, Грецию, на дальние побережья — где обо Мне не слыхали, славы Моей не видели, — чтоб возвестили народам славу Мою!

20 И вернут братьев твоих от всех народов, как дар ГОСПОДУ, повезут на лошадях и колесницах, на возах и мулах, на верблюдах на святую гору Мою, в Иерусалим, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — как приносят израильтяне хлебное приношение в чистом сосуде в Храм ГОСПОДЕНЬ.

21 Иных из них в священники даже возьму и в левиты», — говорит ГОСПОДЬ.

22 «Как новое небо и земля новая, которые Я творю, пребудут предо Мной, — возвещает ГОСПОДЬ, — так пребудет вовек потомство ваше и ваше имя.

23 И тогда в новолуние за новолунием и из субботы в субботу все живущие станут приходить ко Мне на поклонение, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ. —

24 А когда будут выходить из города — увидят трупы людей, что восстали против Меня, и червь, пожирающий их, не исчезнет, и пламя, сжигающее их, не угаснет, мерзостью будут они для всех живущих».

1 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Небо — престол Мой, а земля — место, где утвердил Я стопы Свои. Где же вы построите Мне Храм и какое найдете место, где пребывал бы Я?

3 Что же до тех, кто приносит в жертву быков и убивает людей: они могут ягненка в Храме заколоть, а могут и пса задушить; могут дар хлебный возложить, но могут и кровь свиную пролить; таковые ладан Господу воскуряют и истуканов славят. Все они решили идти своим путем: мерзкое по нраву им.

4 I also will allow them to be humiliated and will recompense them according to their works; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not listen; but they did evil in my sight, and chose the things in which I delighted not.

4 Потому и Я решу осмеянию подвергнуть их: чего боятся они, то и наведу на них — ведь взывал Я к ним, а они не отвечали, говорил — не слушали, творили они, что Я считаю злом, избрали, что Мне неугодно».

5 Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word; say to your brethren who hate you and who despise you for my name's sake, Let the LORD be glorified, and rejoice in your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

5 Выслушайте же слово ГОСПОДНЕ вы, кто трепетно Ему внимает! Ваши братья, которые ненавидят вас и изгоняют из-за имени Моего, говорят: «Пусть явит ГОСПОДЬ славу Свою, посмотрим тогда на вашу радость!» — таковых посрамление ждет.

6 A voice of tumult comes from the city, a voice from the temple, the voice of the LORD who renders recompense to his enemies!

6 Доносится гул из города, слышен голос из Храма — голос ГОСПОДА это, воздающего врагам Своим!

7 Еще и схваток не было у нее, а уже родила; не испытав боли, разрешилась от бремени сыном!

8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born in an hour? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

8 Слыхал ли кто о таком? Видел ли подобное? Возникает ли страна в один день? Рождается ли народ в одночасье? А к Сиону, матери вашей, едва схватки пришли, как дети уже родились!

9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says the LORD; perhaps it is not I who causes to bring forth and who shuts the womb? says the LORD your God.

9 «Доведу ли до схваток дело, — спрашивает ГОСПОДЬ, — а потом не дам разрешиться?» «Задержу ли дитя выходящее Я — Тот, Кто дарует жизнь?» — говорит Бог твой.

10 Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad with her, all you who love her; rejoice in joy with her, all you who mourn over her,

10 Веселитесь вместе со столицей, радуйтесь с ней все, кто любит ее; ликуйте с ней все, кто оплакивал ее!

11 That you may suck and be satisfied with the comfort of her breast; that you may milk out and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

11 Она насытит вас, как младенцев, у груди ее утешитесь, безмерно насладитесь молоком, коим полна ее грудь.

12 For thus says the LORD: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, like an overflowing torrent; and you shall suck the glory of the Gentiles; and you shall be carried on the litters and be dandled upon the knees;

12 Ибо так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Благоденствие потечет к ней рекой, достояние народов — полноводным потоком; будет она кормить вас, носить на руках, и голубить вас, посадив на колени.

13 As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

13 Как родная мать свое дитя утешает, так и Я вас утешу, будет Иерусалим утешением вашим!»

14 And when you shall see this, your heart shall rejoice and your bones shall flourish like tender grass; and the hand of the LORD shall be stretched out toward his servants, and he shall destroy his enemies.

14 Увидите это, и обрадуется ваше сердце, и тело расцветет, как ранние побеги, сила ГОСПОДНЯ явит себя на рабах Его, а негодование — на Его врагах.

15 Вот ГОСПОДЬ грядет в огне, словно вихрь — колесницы Его, в ярости изольет Он гнев Свой, в языках пламени изобличение Свое явит.

19 Явлю Я среди них знаменье: тех из них, кто там уцелеет, Я пошлю к народам: в Таршиш пошлю, Ливию, Лидию — к тем, кто натягивает тетиву; в Тувал, Грецию, на дальние побережья — где обо Мне не слыхали, славы Моей не видели, — чтоб возвестили народам славу Мою!

20 И вернут братьев твоих от всех народов, как дар ГОСПОДУ, повезут на лошадях и колесницах, на возах и мулах, на верблюдах на святую гору Мою, в Иерусалим, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — как приносят израильтяне хлебное приношение в чистом сосуде в Храм ГОСПОДЕНЬ.

21 Иных из них в священники даже возьму и в левиты», — говорит ГОСПОДЬ.
