Deuteronomy

Chapter 5

1 AND Moses called all Israel, and said to them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your presence this day, that you may learn them, and keep and do them.

2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

3 It was not with our fathers that the LORD made this covenant, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

4 The LORD talked with you face to face in the mountain out of the midst of the fire,

5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to declare to you the words of the LORD your God; for you were afraid because of the fire, and did not go up into the mountain), saying,

6 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

7 You shall have no other gods besides me.

8 You shall not make for yourself any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the earth;

9 You shall not worship them, nor serve them; for I the LORD your God am a zealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

10 But showing mercy to thousands of generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

11 You shall not take an oath by the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes an oath by his name in vain.

12 Keep the sabbath day and sanctify it, as the LORD your God has commanded you.

13 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work;

14 But the seventh day is the sabbath to the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor any of your cattle, nor the sojourner that is in your towns; that your manservant and your maidservant may rest as well as you.

15 And remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD your God brought you out thence by a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm; therefore the LORD your God has commanded you to keep the sabbath day.

16 Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you; that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you, in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

17 You shall not kill.

18 You shall not commit adultery.

19 You shall not steal.

20 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

21 You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, neither shall you covet your neighbor's house, nor his field, nor his vineyard, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is your neighbor's.

22 These words the LORD spoke to all the assembly on the mountain out of the midst of the fire, in the cloud and in the thick darkness, with a loud voice which cannot be measured. And he wrote them upon two tablets of stone, and gave them to me.

23 And when you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness and saw the mountain burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders;

24 And you said, Behold, the LORD our God has shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire; and have seen this day that God does talk with man, and that he lives.

25 Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.

26 For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

27 Go near and hear all that the LORD our God shall say; and speak to us all that the LORD our God shall speak to you; and we will hear it and do it.

28 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when you spoke to me; and the LORD said to me, I have heard the voice of the people and the words which they have spoken to you; they have well said all that they have spoken.

29 O that there were such a heart in them, to worship, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children for ever!

30 Go and say to them, Return to your tents.

31 But as for you, stand here before me, and I will tell you all my commandments and my statutes and my judgments, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess.

32 You must observe and do therefore as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

33 You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.

1 Созвал Моисей всех израильтян и сказал: «Слушай, Израиль, установления и правила, что я возвещаю вам ныне! Вы должны выучить их и жить по ним!

2 ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, заключил с нами у Хорива Свой Союз, Завет.

3 Не с праотцами нашими далекими заключил Он сей Завет, но со всеми нами, кто здесь и поныне жив.

4 Лицом к лицу ГОСПОДЬ говорил с вами, говорил на горе, из огня,

5 а я стоял тогда между вами и ГОСПОДОМ, передавал вам слова Его, потому что огонь вас страшил и не восходили вы на гору. И вот что Он сказал:

6 „Я — ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, Который вывел тебя из Египта, где был ты рабом.

7 Других богов, кроме Меня, быть у тебя не должно.

8 Не сотвори себе кумира — никаких изображений того, что на небе, вверху, и что на земле, внизу, и что в воде, ниже земли.

9 Не поклоняйся им и не служи им, ибо Я — ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, Бог, Который ожидает безраздельной преданности Себе, Который и с детей взыскивает за грехи, что родители передают им до третьего и даже четвертого поколения, продолжающих отвергать Меня.

10 Но тем, кто любит Меня и соблюдает заповеди Мои, Я милость творю и в тысячном поколении.

11 Не произноси без нужды имя ГОСПОДА, Бога своего, — не посчитает Он невинным того, кто это делает.

12 Соблюдай день субботний — да будет священным он для тебя, как заповедал тебе ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой.

13 Работай шесть дней и делай всё, что необходимо,

14 а седьмой день — суббота, день, посвящаемый ГОСПОДУ, Богу твоему. Никакой работой не занимайся в сей день, и не только ты сам, но и сын твой, и дочь твоя, и раб твой, и рабыня твоя, и вол твой, и осел — весь скот твой, и человек пришлый, у вас поселившийся, чтобы раб твой и рабыня твоя отдохнули, как и ты.

15 Помни о том, что и ты был рабом в Египте. А ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, вывел тебя оттуда рукой могущественной, десницей простертой, потому и заповедал тебе ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, соблюдать субботу.

16 Почитай отца своего и мать свою, как повелел тебе ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, чтобы жил ты долго и было тебе хорошо на земле, которую дарует тебе ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой.

17 Не убивай.

18 Не прелюбодействуй.

19 Не кради.

20 Не давай неверных показаний против ближнего твоего.

21 Не желай завладеть женой ближнего твоего и не замышляй отнять у него то, что ему принадлежит: поле его, раба его или рабыню; ни вола его, ни осла — никого и ничего из того, чем тот человек владеет“.

22 ГОСПОДЬ сказал это всему множеству народа вашего, собравшемуся у горы. Говорил Он повергающим в трепет голосом, звучавшим из огня, облака и тьмы. К словам этим Он ничего более не добавил. А затем Он записал сказанное на двух каменных скрижалях и передал их мне.

23 Тогда, услышав тот глас из темного облака и увидев гору, пылающую огнем, вы подошли ко мне — все вожди колен ваших и старейшины ваши —

24 и сказали: „ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, поистине явил нам славу Свою и величие. Мы сами услышали голос Его из огня! Ныне узнали мы, что когда Бог говорит с людьми, они все-таки могут оставаться в живых.

25 И всё же зачем подвергаться нам такой смертельной опасности, пребывая на месте сем, ведь этот великий огонь может сжечь нас? Стоит нам снова услышать голос ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего, мы уж точно умрем.

26 Кто из смертных, услышав, подобно нам, голос живого Бога из огня, оставался когда-нибудь в живых?

27 Иди же сам к ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему, выслушай всё, что Он скажет, и что бы Он ни сказал, передай нам. Мы будем слушать и исполнять“.

28 Эти слова ваши услышал ГОСПОДЬ и сказал мне: „Я знаю, что говорили тебе эти люди, и говорили они верно.

29 О если б их мысли всегда были направлены на то, чтобы благоговеть передо Мной и соблюдать все заповеди Мои, — в благополучии жили бы они и их дети вовеки!

30 Ступай и вели им разойтись по своим шатрам.

31 Ты же оставайся здесь со Мной, и Я объявлю тебе заповеди, установления и правила, которым тебе придется их учить, чтобы исполняли они их в той стране, которую Я отдаю им во владение“.

32 Посему держитесь твердо того, что ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, вам повелел, не уклоняйтесь от сего ни вправо, ни влево.

33 Прямо идите по тому пути, что ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, заповедал вам, если хотите сохранить свою жизнь, пребывать в благополучии и долго жить в той стране, которой вам предстоит овладеть.

1 Созвал Моисей всех израильтян и сказал: «Слушай, Израиль, установления и правила, что я возвещаю вам ныне! Вы должны выучить их и жить по ним!

2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

2 ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, заключил с нами у Хорива Свой Союз, Завет.

3 It was not with our fathers that the LORD made this covenant, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

3 Не с праотцами нашими далекими заключил Он сей Завет, но со всеми нами, кто здесь и поныне жив.

4 The LORD talked with you face to face in the mountain out of the midst of the fire,

4 Лицом к лицу ГОСПОДЬ говорил с вами, говорил на горе, из огня,

5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to declare to you the words of the LORD your God; for you were afraid because of the fire, and did not go up into the mountain), saying,

5 а я стоял тогда между вами и ГОСПОДОМ, передавал вам слова Его, потому что огонь вас страшил и не восходили вы на гору. И вот что Он сказал:

6 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

6 „Я — ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, Который вывел тебя из Египта, где был ты рабом.

7 You shall have no other gods besides me.

7 Других богов, кроме Меня, быть у тебя не должно.

8 You shall not make for yourself any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the earth;

8 Не сотвори себе кумира — никаких изображений того, что на небе, вверху, и что на земле, внизу, и что в воде, ниже земли.

9 You shall not worship them, nor serve them; for I the LORD your God am a zealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

9 Не поклоняйся им и не служи им, ибо Я — ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, Бог, Который ожидает безраздельной преданности Себе, Который и с детей взыскивает за грехи, что родители передают им до третьего и даже четвертого поколения, продолжающих отвергать Меня.

10 But showing mercy to thousands of generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

10 Но тем, кто любит Меня и соблюдает заповеди Мои, Я милость творю и в тысячном поколении.

11 You shall not take an oath by the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes an oath by his name in vain.

11 Не произноси без нужды имя ГОСПОДА, Бога своего, — не посчитает Он невинным того, кто это делает.

12 Keep the sabbath day and sanctify it, as the LORD your God has commanded you.

12 Соблюдай день субботний — да будет священным он для тебя, как заповедал тебе ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой.

13 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work;

13 Работай шесть дней и делай всё, что необходимо,

14 But the seventh day is the sabbath to the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor any of your cattle, nor the sojourner that is in your towns; that your manservant and your maidservant may rest as well as you.

14 а седьмой день — суббота, день, посвящаемый ГОСПОДУ, Богу твоему. Никакой работой не занимайся в сей день, и не только ты сам, но и сын твой, и дочь твоя, и раб твой, и рабыня твоя, и вол твой, и осел — весь скот твой, и человек пришлый, у вас поселившийся, чтобы раб твой и рабыня твоя отдохнули, как и ты.

15 And remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD your God brought you out thence by a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm; therefore the LORD your God has commanded you to keep the sabbath day.

15 Помни о том, что и ты был рабом в Египте. А ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, вывел тебя оттуда рукой могущественной, десницей простертой, потому и заповедал тебе ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, соблюдать субботу.

16 Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you; that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you, in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

16 Почитай отца своего и мать свою, как повелел тебе ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой, чтобы жил ты долго и было тебе хорошо на земле, которую дарует тебе ГОСПОДЬ, Бог твой.

17 You shall not kill.

17 Не убивай.

18 You shall not commit adultery.

18 Не прелюбодействуй.

19 You shall not steal.

22 ГОСПОДЬ сказал это всему множеству народа вашего, собравшемуся у горы. Говорил Он повергающим в трепет голосом, звучавшим из огня, облака и тьмы. К словам этим Он ничего более не добавил. А затем Он записал сказанное на двух каменных скрижалях и передал их мне.

23 And when you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness and saw the mountain burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders;

23 Тогда, услышав тот глас из темного облака и увидев гору, пылающую огнем, вы подошли ко мне — все вожди колен ваших и старейшины ваши —

24 And you said, Behold, the LORD our God has shown us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire; and have seen this day that God does talk with man, and that he lives.

24 и сказали: „ГОСПОДЬ, Бог наш, поистине явил нам славу Свою и величие. Мы сами услышали голос Его из огня! Ныне узнали мы, что когда Бог говорит с людьми, они все-таки могут оставаться в живых.

25 Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.

25 И всё же зачем подвергаться нам такой смертельной опасности, пребывая на месте сем, ведь этот великий огонь может сжечь нас? Стоит нам снова услышать голос ГОСПОДА, Бога нашего, мы уж точно умрем.

26 For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

26 Кто из смертных, услышав, подобно нам, голос живого Бога из огня, оставался когда-нибудь в живых?

27 Go near and hear all that the LORD our God shall say; and speak to us all that the LORD our God shall speak to you; and we will hear it and do it.

27 Иди же сам к ГОСПОДУ, Богу нашему, выслушай всё, что Он скажет, и что бы Он ни сказал, передай нам. Мы будем слушать и исполнять“.

28 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when you spoke to me; and the LORD said to me, I have heard the voice of the people and the words which they have spoken to you; they have well said all that they have spoken.

28 Эти слова ваши услышал ГОСПОДЬ и сказал мне: „Я знаю, что говорили тебе эти люди, и говорили они верно.

29 O that there were such a heart in them, to worship, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children for ever!

29 О если б их мысли всегда были направлены на то, чтобы благоговеть передо Мной и соблюдать все заповеди Мои, — в благополучии жили бы они и их дети вовеки!

30 Go and say to them, Return to your tents.

30 Ступай и вели им разойтись по своим шатрам.

31 But as for you, stand here before me, and I will tell you all my commandments and my statutes and my judgments, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess.

31 Ты же оставайся здесь со Мной, и Я объявлю тебе заповеди, установления и правила, которым тебе придется их учить, чтобы исполняли они их в той стране, которую Я отдаю им во владение“.

32 You must observe and do therefore as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

32 Посему держитесь твердо того, что ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, вам повелел, не уклоняйтесь от сего ни вправо, ни влево.

33 You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.

33 Прямо идите по тому пути, что ГОСПОДЬ, Бог ваш, заповедал вам, если хотите сохранить свою жизнь, пребывать в благополучии и долго жить в той стране, которой вам предстоит овладеть.
