Chapter 10

1 AT that time the LORD said to me, Hew two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to me on the mountain, and make yourself an ark of wood.

2 And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.

3 So I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tablets of stone like the first, and went up on the mountain, having the two tablets in my hands.

4 And he wrote on the tablets, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spoke to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and the LORD gave them to me.

5 And I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and I left them in it, as the LORD commanded me.

6 And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera; there Aaron died, and there he was buried, and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

7 From thence they journeyed to Gadgad; and from Gadgad to Jotbath, a land of brooks of waters.

8 At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi, to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister to him, and to bless the name of the LORD, to this day.

9 Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; because the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD your God promised him.

10 And I stayed before the LORD on the mountain according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened to me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy you.

11 And the LORD said to me, Arise, take your journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give to them.

12 And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to revere the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

13 To keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?

14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens belongs to the LORD your God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

15 Only the LORD had a delight in your fathers and he loved them, and he chose their descendants after them, even you above all peoples, as it is this day.

16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

17 For the LORD your God is he who is the God of gods, and the LORD of lords, a great God, a mighty and a terrible, who is never partial, nor takes bribes;

18 He does execute justice for the fatherless and the widows, and loves him who turns to him, and gives him food and clothing.

19 Love therefore those who turn to him; for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

20 You shall revere the LORD your God; him shall you serve, and to him shall you cleave, and swear by his name.

21 For he is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and wonderful things which your eyes have seen.

22 Your fathers went down to Egypt seventy persons; and now the LORD your God has made you as the stars of heaven in multitude.

1 В то время6256 сказал559 мне Господь:3068 вытеши6458 себе две8147 скрижали3871 каменные,68 подобные первым,7223 и взойди5927 ко Мне на гору,2022 и сделай6213 себе деревянный6086 ковчег;727

2 и Я напишу3789 на скрижалях3871 те слова,1697 которые были на прежних7223 скрижалях,3871 которые ты разбил;7665 и положи7760 их в ковчег.727

3 И сделал6213 я ковчег727 из дерева6086 ситтим,7848 и вытесал6458 две8147 каменные68 скрижали,3871 как прежние,7223 и пошел5927 на гору;2022 и две8147 сии скрижали3871 были в руках3027 моих.

4 И написал3789 Он на скрижалях,3871 как написано4385 было прежде,7223 те десять6235 слов,1697 которые изрек1696 вам Господь3068 на горе2022 из среды8432 огня784 в день3117 собрания,6951 и отдал5414 их Господь3068 мне.

5 И обратился6437 я, и сошел3381 с горы,2022 и положил7760 скрижали3871 в ковчег,727 который я сделал,6213 чтоб они там были, как повелел6680 мне Господь.3068

6 И сыны1121 Израилевы3478 отправились5265 из Беероф-Бене-Яакана885 в Мозер;4149 там умер4191 Аарон175 и погребен6912 там, и стал3547 священником3547 вместо него сын1121 его Елеазар.499

7 Оттуда отправились5265 в Гудгод,1412 из Гудгода1412 в Иотвафу,3193 в землю,776 где потоки5158 вод.4325

8 В то время6256 отделил914 Господь3068 колено7626 Левиино,3878 чтобы носить5375 ковчег727 завета1285 Господня,3068 предстоять5975 пред3942 Господом,3068 служить8334 Ему и благословлять1288 именем8034 Его, как это продолжается до сего дня;3117

9 потому нет левиту3878 части2506 и удела5159 с братьями251 его: Сам Господь3068 есть удел5159 его, как говорил1696 ему Господь,3068 Бог430 твой.

10 И пробыл5975 я на горе,2022 как и в прежнее7223 время,3117 сорок705 дней3117 и сорок705 ночей;3915 и послушал8085 меня Господь3068 и на сей раз,6471 и не восхотел14 Господь3068 погубить7843 тебя;

11 и сказал559 мне Господь:3068 встань,6965 пойди3212 в путь4550 пред3942 народом5971 сим; пусть они пойдут935 и овладеют3423 землею,776 которую Я клялся7650 отцам1 их дать5414 им.

12 Итак, Израиль,3478 чего требует7592 от тебя Господь,3068 Бог430 твой? Того только, чтобы ты боялся3372 Господа,3068 Бога430 твоего, ходил3212 всеми путями1870 Его, и любил157 Его, и служил5647 Господу,3068 Богу430 твоему, от всего сердца3824 твоего и от всей души5315 твоей,

13 чтобы соблюдал8104 заповеди4687 Господа3068 и постановления2708 Его, которые сегодня3117 заповедую6680 тебе, дабы тебе было хорошо.2896

14 Вот у Господа,3068 Бога430 твоего, небо8064 и небеса8064 небес,8064 земля776 и все, что на ней;

15 но только отцов1 твоих принял2836 Господь3068 и возлюбил157 их, и избрал977 вас, семя2233 их после310 них, из всех народов,5971 как ныне3117 видишь.

3 So I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tablets of stone like the first, and went up on the mountain, having the two tablets in my hands.

10 And I stayed before the LORD on the mountain according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened to me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy you.

10 И пробыл5975 я на горе,2022 как и в прежнее7223 время,3117 сорок705 дней3117 и сорок705 ночей;3915 и послушал8085 меня Господь3068 и на сей раз,6471 и не восхотел14 Господь3068 погубить7843 тебя;

11 And the LORD said to me, Arise, take your journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land which I swore to their fathers to give to them.

12 And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to revere the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

12 Итак, Израиль,3478 чего требует7592 от тебя Господь,3068 Бог430 твой? Того только, чтобы ты боялся3372 Господа,3068 Бога430 твоего, ходил3212 всеми путями1870 Его, и любил157 Его, и служил5647 Господу,3068 Богу430 твоему, от всего сердца3824 твоего и от всей души5315 твоей,

13 To keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?
