Chapter 11

1 THEREFORE you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his precepts, his statutes, his judgments, and his commandments, always.

2 And know this day that I do not speak to your children who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

3 And his signs, and his deeds, which he did in Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;

4 And what he did to the army of the Egyptians, to their horses and to their chariots and to their horsemen; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD has destroyed them to this day;

5 And what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came into this place;

6 And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their children and their tents and everything which they had, as they stood on their feet in the midst of all Israel;

7 But it is your eyes that have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.

8 Therefore you shall keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong and go in and possess the land which you are going over to possess;

9 And that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land that flows with milk and honey.

10 For the land into which you are entering to possess it is not like the land of Egypt, from which you came out, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your feet, like a vegetable garden;

11 But the land which you are going over to possess is a land of mountains and valleys, that drinks water of the rain from heaven;

12 A land which the LORD your God cares for always; the eyes of the LORD your God are upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

13 And if you shall hearken diligently to the commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14 He will give you the rain of your land in its due season, the early rain and the latter rain, and you shall gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.

15 And he will make grass to grow in your fields for your cattle, that you shall eat and be full.

16 Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be enticed, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them;

17 And then the LORD'S anger be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain and that the land may not produce its fruit, and that you perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD your God gives you.

18 Therefore you shall lay up these commandments in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hands, that they may be a token between your eyes.

19 And you shall teach them to your children, that they may talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

20 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your houses, and upon your gates;

21 That your days and the days of your children, may be multiplied in the land which the LORD your God swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon earth.

22 For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you this day, and do them, and love the LORD your God, and walk in all his ways, and cleave to him;

23 Then the LORD will destroy all these nations from before you, and you shall possess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

24 Every place whereon the sole of your foot treads shall be yours; from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the great river Euphrates, to the uttermost sea shall your territory be.

25 There shall no man be able to stand before you; for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that you shall tread, as he has said to you.

26 Behold, I set before you this day blessings and curses;

27 Blessings, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I am commanding you this day:

28 And curses, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, and if you turn aside from the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.

29 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD your God has brought you into the land whither you are entering to possess it, you shall put the blessings upon mount Gerizim, and the curses upon mount Gebel.

30 Behold, they are on the other side of the Jordan, behind the way, toward the setting of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites, who dwell in the low desert over against Gilgal, towards the house of the oak of Mamre.

31 For you are to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God gives you, and you shall possess it and dwell therein.

32 And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.

Глава 11

1 Итак люби Иегову, Бога твоего, и храни, что повелено Им хранить, и постановления Его, и законы Его, и заповеди Его во все дни твои.

2 Вы знаете ныне, (ибо я говорю не с сынами вашими, которые не знают и не видели), наказания Иеговы, Бога вашего, Его величие, [и] Его крепкую руку, и высокую мышцу Его.

3 Знамения Его и дела Его, которые Он сделал среди Египта с Фараоном царем Египетским и со всею землею его,

4 И что Он сделал с воинством Египетским, конями его и колесницами его, которых Он потопил водами Чермного моря, когда они гнались за вами; и погубил их Иегова [Бог] до сего дня,

5 И что Он делал для вас в пустыне, пока вы дошли до места сего,

6 И что Он сделал с Дафаном и Авирамом, сынами Елиава, сына Рувимова, когда земля разверзла уста свои и среди всего Израиля поглотила их, и семейства их, и шатры их, и все имущество их, которое было у них.

7 Ибо глаза ваши видели все великие дела Иеговы, которые Он сделал [среди вас ныне].

8 Храните все заповеди [Его,] которые я заповедаю вам сегодня; дабы вы [были живы,] укрепились, и пошли и взяли в наследие ту землю, в которую вы переходите [за Иордан], чтоб наследовать ее;

9 И дабы вы жили много времени на той земле, которую клялся Господь отцам вашим, дать им и семени их [после них], на земле, где течет молоко и мед.

10 Ибо земля, которую ты идешь взять в наследие, не такова, как земля Египетская, из которой вы вышли; где ты посеяв семя свое напоял [ее] посредством машин, как овощный сад.

11 Но земля, в которую вы переходите, чтоб наследовать ее, есть земля с горами и долинами, и от дождя небесного напояется водою,

12 Земля, о которой Иегова, Бог твой, печется; очи Иеговы, Бога твоего, непрестанно на ней, от начала года и до конца года.

13 Если вы будете слушать [все] заповеди Мои, которые заповедаю Я вам сегодня, будете любить Иегову, Бога вашего, и служить Ему от всего сердца вашего и от всей души вашей:

14 То дам земле вашей дождь в свое время, ранний и поздний; и ты соберешь хлеб свой и вино свое и елей свой;

15 И дам траву на поле твоем скоту твоему; ты будешь есть и насытишься.

16 Берегитесь, чтобы не обольстилось сердце ваше, и вы не уклонились и не стали служить другим богам и не поклонились им;

17 Иначе, воспламенится гнев Господа на вас, и заключит Он небо, не будет дождя и земля не принесет произведений своих: и вы скоро потеряете сию добрую землю, которую Господь дает вам.

18 Итак положите сии слова мои в сердце ваше и в душу вашу, и навяжите их в знак на руку свою и да будут они вместо повязки над глазами вашими.

19 И учите им сыновей своих, говоря об оных, когда ты сидишь в доме своем, и когда идешь дорогою, и когда лежишь и когда стоишь.

20 И напиши их на косяках в доме твоем и на воротах твоих,

21 Дабы столь же много было дней ваших и дней сынов ваших на той земле, которую Господь клялся дать отцам вашим, сколько дней небо стоит над землею.

22 Ибо если вы будете соблюдать все заповеди сии, которые [сегодня] заповедаю вам исполнять, будете любить Иегову, Бога вашего, ходить всеми путями Его и к Нему прилепляться:

23 То изгонит Господь все народы оные от лица вашего; и вы овладеете народами, которые более и сильнее вас.

24 Всякое место, на которое ступит нога ваша, будет ваше; от пустыни и Ливана, [и] от реки [великой] Евфрата даже до моря западного, будут пределы ваши.

25 Никто не устоит противу вас: Иегова, Бог ваш, наведет страх ваш и трепет ваш на всякую землю, на которую вы ступите, как говорил вам [Господь].

26 Се, я предлагаю вам сегодня благословение и проклятие:

27 Благословение, если послушаете заповедей Иеговы, Бога вашего, которые я заповедаю вам сегодня,

28 А проклятие, если не послушаете заповедей Иеговы, Бога вашего, [которые заповедаю я вам сегодня], и уклонитесь от пути, который я вам сегодня заповедаю, и пойдете вслед богов иных, которых вы не знали.

29 Когда введет тебя Иегова, Бог твой, в ту землю, в которую ты идешь, чтобы взять ее в наследие: тогда произнеси благословение на горе Гаризиме, а проклятие на горе Гевале.

30 (Вот, они за Иорданом, за дорогою, [которая] к западу солнца, в земле Хананеев, живущих на равнине, против Галгала, близ дубравы Море.)

31 Ибо вы переходите за Иордан, чтоб пойти, взять в наследие землю, которую Иегова, Бог ваш, дает вам [в удел навсегда], и возьмете ее в наследие, и будете жить на ней.

32 Тогда старайтесь соблюсти все постановления [Его] и законы [Его], которые предлагаю я вам сегодня.

1 THEREFORE you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his precepts, his statutes, his judgments, and his commandments, always.

1 Итак люби Иегову, Бога твоего, и храни, что повелено Им хранить, и постановления Его, и законы Его, и заповеди Его во все дни твои.

2 And know this day that I do not speak to your children who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

2 Вы знаете ныне, (ибо я говорю не с сынами вашими, которые не знают и не видели), наказания Иеговы, Бога вашего, Его величие, [и] Его крепкую руку, и высокую мышцу Его.

3 And his signs, and his deeds, which he did in Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;

3 Знамения Его и дела Его, которые Он сделал среди Египта с Фараоном царем Египетским и со всею землею его,

4 And what he did to the army of the Egyptians, to their horses and to their chariots and to their horsemen; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD has destroyed them to this day;

4 И что Он сделал с воинством Египетским, конями его и колесницами его, которых Он потопил водами Чермного моря, когда они гнались за вами; и погубил их Иегова [Бог] до сего дня,

5 And what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came into this place;

5 И что Он делал для вас в пустыне, пока вы дошли до места сего,

6 And what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their children and their tents and everything which they had, as they stood on their feet in the midst of all Israel;

6 И что Он сделал с Дафаном и Авирамом, сынами Елиава, сына Рувимова, когда земля разверзла уста свои и среди всего Израиля поглотила их, и семейства их, и шатры их, и все имущество их, которое было у них.

7 Ибо глаза ваши видели все великие дела Иеговы, которые Он сделал [среди вас ныне].

8 Therefore you shall keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that you may be strong and go in and possess the land which you are going over to possess;

8 Храните все заповеди [Его,] которые я заповедаю вам сегодня; дабы вы [были живы,] укрепились, и пошли и взяли в наследие ту землю, в которую вы переходите [за Иордан], чтоб наследовать ее;

9 И дабы вы жили много времени на той земле, которую клялся Господь отцам вашим, дать им и семени их [после них], на земле, где течет молоко и мед.

11 Но земля, в которую вы переходите, чтоб наследовать ее, есть земля с горами и долинами, и от дождя небесного напояется водою,

12 Земля, о которой Иегова, Бог твой, печется; очи Иеговы, Бога твоего, непрестанно на ней, от начала года и до конца года.

13 Если вы будете слушать [все] заповеди Мои, которые заповедаю Я вам сегодня, будете любить Иегову, Бога вашего, и служить Ему от всего сердца вашего и от всей души вашей:

14 То дам земле вашей дождь в свое время, ранний и поздний; и ты соберешь хлеб свой и вино свое и елей свой;

15 И дам траву на поле твоем скоту твоему; ты будешь есть и насытишься.

16 Берегитесь, чтобы не обольстилось сердце ваше, и вы не уклонились и не стали служить другим богам и не поклонились им;

17 Иначе, воспламенится гнев Господа на вас, и заключит Он небо, не будет дождя и земля не принесет произведений своих: и вы скоро потеряете сию добрую землю, которую Господь дает вам.

18 Итак положите сии слова мои в сердце ваше и в душу вашу, и навяжите их в знак на руку свою и да будут они вместо повязки над глазами вашими.

23 Then the LORD will destroy all these nations from before you, and you shall possess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

23 То изгонит Господь все народы оные от лица вашего; и вы овладеете народами, которые более и сильнее вас.

25 Никто не устоит противу вас: Иегова, Бог ваш, наведет страх ваш и трепет ваш на всякую землю, на которую вы ступите, как говорил вам [Господь].

26 Behold, I set before you this day blessings and curses;

26 Се, я предлагаю вам сегодня благословение и проклятие:

27 Blessings, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I am commanding you this day:

27 Благословение, если послушаете заповедей Иеговы, Бога вашего, которые я заповедаю вам сегодня,

28 And curses, if you will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, and if you turn aside from the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.

28 А проклятие, если не послушаете заповедей Иеговы, Бога вашего, [которые заповедаю я вам сегодня], и уклонитесь от пути, который я вам сегодня заповедаю, и пойдете вслед богов иных, которых вы не знали.

29 And it shall come to pass, when the LORD your God has brought you into the land whither you are entering to possess it, you shall put the blessings upon mount Gerizim, and the curses upon mount Gebel.

29 Когда введет тебя Иегова, Бог твой, в ту землю, в которую ты идешь, чтобы взять ее в наследие: тогда произнеси благословение на горе Гаризиме, а проклятие на горе Гевале.

31 For you are to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God gives you, and you shall possess it and dwell therein.

31 Ибо вы переходите за Иордан, чтоб пойти, взять в наследие землю, которую Иегова, Бог ваш, дает вам [в удел навсегда], и возьмете ее в наследие, и будете жить на ней.

32 And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set before you this day.

32 Тогда старайтесь соблюсти все постановления [Его] и законы [Его], которые предлагаю я вам сегодня.
