2 того ча́су казав був Господь через Ісаю, Амосового сина, говорячи: „Іди, і розв'я́жеш вере́ту з-над сте́гон своїх, і здіймеш взуття́ зо своєї ноги!“ І він зробив так, — ходив наги́й та бо́сий. |
|
3 І Господь говорив: „Як ходив Мій раб Ісая нагий та босий три роки, — це ознака та чудо про Єгипет та про Етіопію, — |
|
4 так поведе́ цар асирійський полоне́них Єгипту й вигна́нців Етіопії, юнакі́в та стари́х, нагих та босих, навіть з озадком відкритим. Сором Єгипту! |
|
5 І будуть збентеже́ні та засоро́млені за Етіопію, куди зве́рнений зір їхній, та за Єгипет, їхню пишноту́. |
|
6 І скаже того дня мешка́нець того побережжя: Оце таке місце, куди зве́рнений зір наш, куди ми втікали за поміччю, щоб урятуватися перед асирійським царем. І я́к ми втечемо?“ |

1 IN the year that Tartan came to Ashdod (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him) and fought against Ashdod and took it, |
|
2 At that time the LORD spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off your loins and put off your shoes from your feet. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. |
|
3 And the Lord said, As my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot, so shall there be signs and wonders for three years upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia; |
|
4 So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. |
|
5 And they shall be defeated and ashamed of Ethiopia their trust, and of Egypt their glory. |
|
6 And the inhabitants of this isle shall say on that day, Behold, here is our trust, to whom we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape? |

3 І Господь говорив: „Як ходив Мій раб Ісая нагий та босий три роки, — це ознака та чудо про Єгипет та про Етіопію, — |
