Psalm 63

1 O GOD, thou art my God; on thee I wait; my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee as in a dry and thirsty land where no water is.

2 As, in purity, I have seen thee, so may I see thy power and thy glory.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be enriched as with cream and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.

6 I remember thee upon my bed and I meditate on thee in the night watches.

7 Because thou hast been my helper, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I glory.

8 My soul follows hard after thee; thy right hand upholds me.

9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 They shall fall by the sword; they shall be a portion for foxes.

11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every man that swears by him shall glory; but the mouths of those who speak lies shall be stopped.

Псалом 63

1 Начальнику хора. Псалом Давидов.

2 Услыши, Боже, глас мой в горести моей, от страшного врага сохрани жизнь мою.

3 Укрой меня от толпы беззаконных, от скопища злодеев,

4 Которые изострили язык свой, как меч, как стрелою метят язвительными словами,

5 Дабы в тайне поразить непорочного. Внезапно поражают его и не боятся;

6 Утверждают себя в злых намерениях, совещаются поставить скрытно сети, говорят, кто увидит их?

7 Вымышляют злодейства и говорят: кончено! предприятия обдуманы! А внутренность человека и сердце глубоко.

8 Но Бог поразит их; они будут уязвлены стрелою внезапно.

9 Низложат друг друга языком своим. Все, видящие их, побегут прочь.

10 Убоятся все человеки, и возвестят чудо Божие, и познают в сем Его дело.

11 А праведник возвеселится о Господе, и будет уповать на Него, и похвалятся все правые сердцем.
