1 IF it had not been the LORD who stood on our side, now may Israel say, |
|
2 If it had not been the LORD who stood on our side when men rose up against us, |
|
3 Then would they have swallowed us alive when their wrath was kindled against us, |
|
4 Then would they have drowned us in the waters, the stream would have gone over us; |
|
5 Then the great waters would have gone over us. |
|
6 Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth. |
|
7 Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are delivered. |
|
8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. |

2 Єрусали́м, — го́ри круг ньо́го, а Госпо́дь круг наро́ду Свого відтепе́р й аж наві́ки! |
|
3 Не спочине бо бе́рло нече́стивих на долі пра́ведних, щоб пра́ведні не простягли́ своїх рук до неправди. |
|
4 Зроби ж, Господи, до́бре для добрих, та для простосе́рдих! |
|
5 Тих же, що збо́чують на свої манівці́, — нехай їх прова́дить Господь разом із беззако́нцями! Мир на Ізра́їля! |
