1 IF it had not been the LORD who stood on our side, now may Israel say,

2 If it had not been the LORD who stood on our side when men rose up against us,

3 Then would they have swallowed us alive when their wrath was kindled against us,

4 Then would they have drowned us in the waters, the stream would have gone over us;

5 Then the great waters would have gone over us.

6 Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7 Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are delivered.

8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

1 Песнь восхождения. Надеющийся на Господа, как гора Сион, не колеблется, пребывает вечно.

2 Окрест Иерусалима горы, и Господь окрест народа Своего отныне и вовек.

3 Ибо не пребудет жезл нечестия над уделом праведных, дабы праведные не простерли рук своих к беззаконию.

4 Благотвори, Господи, добрым и праводушным.

5 А совращающихся на кривые пути погубит Господь с делающими беззаконие. Мир Израилю!
