Chapter 4

1 YOU also, O Son of man, take a brick and lay it before you, and draw upon it the outline of the city of Jerusalem;

2 And lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast a mount against it; and set some camps also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.

3 Moreover take an iron pan, and set it for an iron wall between you and the city; and set your face against it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.

4 Then lie upon your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon that side; according to the number of days that you shall lie upon it, you shall bear their iniquity.

5 For I have given you two tasks of iniquities, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days; so shall you bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

6 And when you have completed them, you shall lie again on your right side, and you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days; I have appointed you each day for a year.

7 Therefore you shall set your face towards the siege of Jerusalem, and your arm shall prevail, and you shall prophesy against it.

8 And behold, I have laid chains upon you, and you shall not turn from one side to another until you have completed the days of your siege.

9 And take for yourself wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and rye, and put them in one vessel, and make for yourself bread of them; according to the number of days that you shall lie upon your side, three hundred and ninety days, you shall eat of it.

10 And your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day; from time to time you shall eat it.

11 And you shall drink water by measure, a sixth part of a hin; from time to time shall you drink.

12 And you shall eat it as if you ate barley cakes, having baked it in their sight with the dung that comes out of men.

13 And the LORD said, Thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean among the Gentiles, whither I shall drive them.

14 Then said I, Ah LORD God! behold, I have never defiled myself; and from my youth up even till now I have not eaten of that which dies of itself or is torn in pieces by wild beasts; neither has unclean meat entered into my mouth.

15 Then he said to me, Lo, I have given you oxen's dung instead of men's dung, that you shall bake your bread with it.

16 Moreover, he said to me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread by weight; and when thirsty, they shall drink water by measure;

17 And they shall lack bread and water, and they shall perish one with another, and shall be consumed in their iniquity.

3 и возьми3947 себе железную1270 доску,4227 и поставь5414 ее как бы железную1270 стену7023 между тобою и городом,5892 и обрати3559 на него лице6440 твое, и он будет4692 в осаде,4692 и ты осаждай6696 его. Это будет знамением226 дому1004 Израилеву.3478

4 Ты же ложись7901 на левый8042 бок6654 твой и положи7760 на него беззаконие5771 дома1004 Израилева:3478 по числу4557 дней,3117 в которые будешь7901 лежать7901 на нем, ты будешь5375 нести5375 беззаконие5771 их.

5 И Я определил5414 тебе годы8141 беззакония5771 их числом4557 дней:3117 триста79693967 девяносто8673 дней3117 ты будешь5375 нести5375 беззаконие5771 дома1004 Израилева.3478

6 И когда исполнишь3615 это,428 то вторично8145 ложись7901 уже на правый32333227 бок,6654 и сорок705 дней3117 неси5375 на себе беззаконие5771 дома1004 Иудина,3063 день3117 за год,8141 день3117 за год8141 Я определил5414 тебе.

7 И обрати3559 лице6440 твое и обнаженную2834 правую руку2220 твою на осаду4692 Иерусалима,3389 и пророчествуй5012 против него.

8 Вот, Я возложил5414 на тебя узы,5688 и ты не повернешься2015 с одного бока6654 на другой,6654 доколе не исполнишь3615 дней3117 осады4692 твоей.

9 Возьми3947 себе пшеницы2406 и ячменя,8184 и бобов,6321 и чечевицы,5742 и пшена,1764 и полбы,3698 и всыпь5414 их в один259 сосуд,3627 и сделай6213 себе из них хлебы,3899 по числу4557 дней,3117 в которые ты будешь7901 лежать7901 на боку6654 твоем; триста79693967 девяносто8673 дней3117 ты будешь398 есть398 их.

10 И пищу3978 твою, которою будешь398 питаться,398 ешь весом4946 по двадцати6242 сиклей8255 в день;3117 от времени6256 до времени6256 ешь398 это.

14 Тогда сказал559 я: о,162 Господи136 Боже!3069 душа5315 моя никогда не осквернялась,2930 и мертвечины5038 и растерзанного2966 зверем2966 я не ел398 от юности5271 моей доныне; и никакое нечистое6292 мясо1320 не входило935 в уста6310 мои.

15 И сказал559 Он мне: вот,7200 Я дозволяю5414 тебе, вместо человеческого120 кала,1561 коровий1241 помет,68326832 и на нем приготовляй6213 хлеб3899 твой.

3 Moreover take an iron pan, and set it for an iron wall between you and the city; and set your face against it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.

4 Then lie upon your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon that side; according to the number of days that you shall lie upon it, you shall bear their iniquity.

4 Ты же ложись7901 на левый8042 бок6654 твой и положи7760 на него беззаконие5771 дома1004 Израилева:3478 по числу4557 дней,3117 в которые будешь7901 лежать7901 на нем, ты будешь5375 нести5375 беззаконие5771 их.

17 And they shall lack bread and water, and they shall perish one with another, and shall be consumed in their iniquity.
