Chapter 13

1 AND the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy to the people, and say to them who prophesy out of their own heart, Hear the word of the LORD;

3 Thus says the LORD God: Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own pride, for they have not seen any vision!

4 O Israel, your prophets are like the foxes in the ruins.

5 You have not gone up to build the breaches, neither have you made up a hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

6 For they say, Thus says the LORD; and the LORD has not sent them; and they persist in confirming a false word.

7 Indeed you have seen a vain vision, and you have spoken a lying divination, and yet you say, The LORD said it; although I have not spoken.

8 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have seen false visions and spoken lies; therefore, behold, I am against you, says the LORD God.

9 And my hand shall be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations; they shall not remain in the midst of my people, neither shall they be written in the book of the house of Israel, neither shall they return to the land of Israel; and you shall know that I am the LORD God.

10 Because they have deceived my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and when the people built up a wall, they daubed it with untempered mortar in such a manner that it shall fall.

11 Say to those who daubed it in such a manner that it shall fall, Behold, I will bring a violent rain which will sweep everything away, and hailstones shall fall, and a whirlwind;

12 And the wall shall be breached and shall fall; and it shall be said to you, Where is the mortar with which you daubed it?

13 Therefore thus says the LORD God: I will bring a whirlwind in my wrath; and there shall be a deluge of rain in my anger, and hailstones in my fury to consume it.

14 So I will demolish the wall that you have daubed and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation shall be laid bare, and you shall be defeated and consumed in the midst of it; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

15 Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall and upon those who have daubed it with untempered mortar so that it shall be said to you, Where is the wall? Where are those who daubed it?

16 Such are the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, says the LORD God.

17 Likewise, you Son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them, and say to them,

18 Thus says the LORD God: Woe to the women who embroider wristlets and make coverings for every head and for every type of person to snare the souls of men! Will you hunt the souls of my people, and will you save your own souls?

19 You have polluted my people for a handful of barley and a piece of bread, to kill persons who were not guilty of death, and to save the lives of those who should not live, and you have lied to a people who listen to lies.

20 Wherefore thus says the LORD God: Behold, I am against your embroidered garments with which you hunt the souls of the people, and I will tear them from your arms, and I will set free the souls of those that you hunt, and I will cause them to fly.

21 And I will tear your robes, and will deliver my people out of your hands, and they shall be no more delivered into your hands to be hunted; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

22 Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sorrowful; and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that they did not return from their wicked ways and live.

23 Therefore you shall no longer see false visions, nor work divinations any more; for I will deliver my people from your hands; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

1 Затем ко мне пришло слово Господа. Он сказал:

2 «Сын человеческий, ты должен говорить с пророками Израиля, которые вещают не от Меня, а говорят лишь только то, что им вздумается. Ты должен обратиться к ним с такими словами: „Слушайте весть Господа!

3 Вот что говорит Господь Всемогущий: „Горе случится с вами, глупые пророки, потому что вы следуете за своими духами. Вы ничего не видите в своих видениях.

4 Израиль, твои пророки лживы. Они словно шакалы, которые охотятся среди развалин города.

5 Ты не поставил воинов у разрушенных стен города, не построил новые стены для защиты народа Израиля, и, когда придёт день наказания Господнего, ты потерпишь поражение.

6 Лжепророки утверждали, что им было видение, они предсказывали, что случится, но это была ложь. Они говорили, что их послал Господь, но и это была ложь. Они до сих пор ждут, что их ложь станет правдой.

7 Лжепророки, ваши видения — лишь обман. Вы предсказывали заведомую ложь, вы говорили, что это сказал вам Господь, но Я с вами не говорил”».

8 Поэтому теперь Господь Всемогущий действительно будет говорить: «Вы лгали, ваши видения не были правдой, и теперь Я буду против вас». Так сказал Господь.

9 «Я накажу пророков за ложь, Я отстраню их от Моих людей. Имена их не будут в списке семей Израиля, и они никогда не вернутся в Израильскую землю. И тогда вы узнаете, что Я — Господь Всемогущий!

10 Снова и снова лжепророки говорили людям Моим, что будет мир, но нет мира. Люди должны укрепить стены и готовиться к войне, но они едва залатали разбитые стены.

11 Скажи им, что Я пошлю град и сильный дождь (вражескую армию), будет сильный ветер и придёт смерч, и рухнет стена.

12 Рухнет стена, и люди спросят пророков: „Что случилось с заплатами на разбитой стене?”»

13 Господь говорит: «Я в гневе и поэтому пошлю на вас грозу и сильный дождь. Я гневаюсь и поэтому заставлю выпасть сильный град, который полностью вас уничтожит.

14 Вы залатали стену, но Я разрушу её всю до основания. Эта стена упадёт на вас, и тогда вы поймёте, что Я — Господь.

15 Я изолью Свой гнев на стену и на людей, которые её залатали, а затем скажу: „Нет стены, и некому на неё поставить заплаты”.

16 Всё это случится с лжепророками Израиля. Они обращаются к людям Иерусалима и утверждают, что будет мир, но мира нет». Так сказал Господь.

17 Господь сказал: «Сын человеческий, посмотри на пророчествующих женщин Израиля, они говорят не от Меня, а только то, что им вздумается. Поэтому ты должен пророчествовать против них такими словами:

18 Господь, мой Господин, говорит: „Горе будет вам, женщины! Вы делаете браслеты для рук и шьёте платки, чтобы покрывать головы. Вы утверждаете, что эти вещи обладают магической силой влиять на жизни людей. Вы заманиваете народ в эти ловушки только для того, чтобы сохранить свою жизнь.

19 Всего за несколько пригоршней ячменя и несколько кусков хлеба вы заставляете людей думать, что Я неважен, и подстрекаете их против Меня. Вы лжёте Моим людям, и они полюбили ложь. Вы убиваете тех, кто должен жить, и даёте жить тем, кто должен умереть”».

20 Поэтому Господь, Бог мой, вам говорит: «Вы делаете эти браслеты, чтобы заманить людей в ловушку, но Я освобожу людей от ваших сетей. Я сорву эти браслеты с рук, и люди освободятся от вашего влияния, как птицы, вылетающие из силков.

21 Я порву ваши платки и спасу народ от вашей силы. Тогда они избавятся от ваших уловок, и вы поймёте, что Я — Господь.

22 Вы, пророки, лжёте, и ваша ложь вредна для добрых людей, но Я не хочу им вреда. Вы поощряете беззаконных и не пытаетесь спасти их жизни.

23 За это вы не увидите больше ложных видений и не совершите больше никакого волшебства. Я спасу Моих людей от вас, и тогда вы поймёте, что Я — Господь».

3 Thus says the LORD God: Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own pride, for they have not seen any vision!

3 Вот что говорит Господь Всемогущий: „Горе случится с вами, глупые пророки, потому что вы следуете за своими духами. Вы ничего не видите в своих видениях.

4 O Israel, your prophets are like the foxes in the ruins.

4 Израиль, твои пророки лживы. Они словно шакалы, которые охотятся среди развалин города.

7 Indeed you have seen a vain vision, and you have spoken a lying divination, and yet you say, The LORD said it; although I have not spoken.

8 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have seen false visions and spoken lies; therefore, behold, I am against you, says the LORD God.

8 Поэтому теперь Господь Всемогущий действительно будет говорить: «Вы лгали, ваши видения не были правдой, и теперь Я буду против вас». Так сказал Господь.

9 And my hand shall be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations; they shall not remain in the midst of my people, neither shall they be written in the book of the house of Israel, neither shall they return to the land of Israel; and you shall know that I am the LORD God.

9 «Я накажу пророков за ложь, Я отстраню их от Моих людей. Имена их не будут в списке семей Израиля, и они никогда не вернутся в Израильскую землю. И тогда вы узнаете, что Я — Господь Всемогущий!

10 Because they have deceived my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and when the people built up a wall, they daubed it with untempered mortar in such a manner that it shall fall.

10 Снова и снова лжепророки говорили людям Моим, что будет мир, но нет мира. Люди должны укрепить стены и готовиться к войне, но они едва залатали разбитые стены.

11 Say to those who daubed it in such a manner that it shall fall, Behold, I will bring a violent rain which will sweep everything away, and hailstones shall fall, and a whirlwind;

11 Скажи им, что Я пошлю град и сильный дождь (вражескую армию), будет сильный ветер и придёт смерч, и рухнет стена.

12 And the wall shall be breached and shall fall; and it shall be said to you, Where is the mortar with which you daubed it?

12 Рухнет стена, и люди спросят пророков: „Что случилось с заплатами на разбитой стене?”»

13 Therefore thus says the LORD God: I will bring a whirlwind in my wrath; and there shall be a deluge of rain in my anger, and hailstones in my fury to consume it.

13 Господь говорит: «Я в гневе и поэтому пошлю на вас грозу и сильный дождь. Я гневаюсь и поэтому заставлю выпасть сильный град, который полностью вас уничтожит.

14 So I will demolish the wall that you have daubed and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation shall be laid bare, and you shall be defeated and consumed in the midst of it; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

14 Вы залатали стену, но Я разрушу её всю до основания. Эта стена упадёт на вас, и тогда вы поймёте, что Я — Господь.

15 Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall and upon those who have daubed it with untempered mortar so that it shall be said to you, Where is the wall? Where are those who daubed it?

15 Я изолью Свой гнев на стену и на людей, которые её залатали, а затем скажу: „Нет стены, и некому на неё поставить заплаты”.

20 Wherefore thus says the LORD God: Behold, I am against your embroidered garments with which you hunt the souls of the people, and I will tear them from your arms, and I will set free the souls of those that you hunt, and I will cause them to fly.

20 Поэтому Господь, Бог мой, вам говорит: «Вы делаете эти браслеты, чтобы заманить людей в ловушку, но Я освобожу людей от ваших сетей. Я сорву эти браслеты с рук, и люди освободятся от вашего влияния, как птицы, вылетающие из силков.

21 And I will tear your robes, and will deliver my people out of your hands, and they shall be no more delivered into your hands to be hunted; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

21 Я порву ваши платки и спасу народ от вашей силы. Тогда они избавятся от ваших уловок, и вы поймёте, что Я — Господь.

22 Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sorrowful; and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that they did not return from their wicked ways and live.

22 Вы, пророки, лжёте, и ваша ложь вредна для добрых людей, но Я не хочу им вреда. Вы поощряете беззаконных и не пытаетесь спасти их жизни.

23 Therefore you shall no longer see false visions, nor work divinations any more; for I will deliver my people from your hands; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

23 За это вы не увидите больше ложных видений и не совершите больше никакого волшебства. Я спасу Моих людей от вас, и тогда вы поймёте, что Я — Господь».
