Psalm 33

1 REJOICE in the LORD, O you righteous; for praise is comely for the upright.

2 Praise the LORD with harp and guitar; sing praises to him with a harp of ten strings.

3 Sing to him a new song; play skilfully with a beautiful rhythm.

4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

5 He loves righteousness and judgment; the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

7 The waters of the sea gathers he together as in a heap of waterskins; he lays up the depths in storehouses.

8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

9 For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The LORD brings the counsel of the Gentiles to nought; the LORD makes the devices of the people of no effect.

11 The counsel of the LORD stands for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

13 The LORD looks from heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.

14 From his throne he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashions their hearts alike; he considers all their works.

16 The king is not saved by the multitude of a host; neither a mighty man delivers by much strength.

17 A horse is a false thing for salvation; neither shall he deliver his rider by his great strength.

18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon the righteous, upon them that hope in his mercy

19 To deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.

21 For our hearts shall rejoice in him because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Псалом 33

1 Песнь Давида, написанная в то время, когда он притворился сумасшедшим, чтобы Авимелех отослал его прочь. Таким образом Давид ушёл от него.

2 Во все времена буду Господа превозносить, всегда на устах моих будет Ему хвала.

3 В то время, когда душа моя в Господе ликует, пусть кроткие услышат и развеселятся.

4 Славь Господа вместе со мной, и имя Его превознесём.

5 Я к Господу за помощью воззвал, и Он услышал все прошения мои. Он защитил меня от всех, кто пугает и страшит меня.

6 Кто обращает взор к Нему, тот счастлив, лицо того несумрачно; не будет опозорен он.

7 Будучи убогим и беспомощным, я к Господу воззвал. Мою мольбу услышав, Он избавил меня от всех страданий.

8 Господний Ангел строит лагерь вокруг тех, кто следует за Ним. Он защищает их и ободряет.

9 Позвольте Господу вам доброту Свою явить. Благословен тот человек, который Ему себя вверяет.

10 Святой народ Его страшится Господа и почитает, так как приверженцы Его ни в чём не знают недостатка.

11 Даже молодые львы от голода изнемогают, но ищущий Господа во благе не знает нужды.

12 Послушайте внимательно, дети мои, я научу вас, как необходимо Бога любить.

13 Кто ждёт добрых и счастливых дней, кто из вас желает жизнью наслаждаться,

14 пусть воздерживается от злословия и не допускает лжи.

15 От зла отвернитесь, творите добро, к миру стремитесь. Изо всех сил помогайте людям мир обрести!

16 За праведными Бог следит и слышит Он молитвы их.

17 От злых отворачивается Господь и после смерти их Он память о них с лица земли стирает.

18 Молитесь Господу, и Он услышит вас, от страданий избавив вас.

19 Господь близок к тем, кого постигло разочарование и чей подавлен дух.

20 Бывает у праведных много проблем, но Бог от трудностей всех избавляет.

21 Господь праведного заботливо хранит, Он не позволит ни единой волосинке с головы его упасть.

22 Но грешника зло убьёт, а праведника враг погублен будет.
