Psalm 53

1 THE fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and abominable in their iniquities; and there is none that does good.

2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

3 Every one of them has gone astray; they are altogether become filthy; there is none that does good, no, not one.

4 These people no longer recognize evil; they have consumed my people like bread; they have no respect for God.

5 There they feared where no fear was; for God has scattered the bones of hypocrites; they have been ashamed, because God has despised them.

6 Who out of Zion will give salvation to Israel? When God brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad.

2 Когда пришли Зифеи и сказали Саулу: Давид скрывается у нас.

3 Боже! именем Твоим спаси меня, и крепостью Твоею защити меня в суде.

4 Боже! услыши молитву мою, внемли словам уст моих.

5 Ибо чуждые восстали на меня и сильные ищут души моей; не имеют они пред собою Бога. (Села.)

6 Се, Бог помощник мне, Господь подкрепляет душу мою.
