Psalm 82

1 GOD stands in the congregation of angels; he judges among the angels.

2 How long will you judge unjustly, and be partial to the wicked?

3 Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 Deliver the poor and needy out of the hand of the wicked.

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6 I have said, You are gods; all of you are children of the most High.

7 Henceforth you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

2 Всевышний, не молчи и не безмолвствуй! Не оставайся в бездействии, Всевышний!

3 Посмотри, враги Твои шумят, и ненавидящие Тебя подняли голову.

4 Против Твоего народа составили коварный замысел и сговариваются против оберегаемых Тобою.

5 Сказали: «Пойдём и истребим их из числа народов, чтобы не вспоминалось больше имя Исраила».

6 Сговорились единодушно, заключили против Тебя союз

7 селения Эдома и исмаильтяне, Моав и агритяне,

8 Гевал, Аммон и Амалик, филистимляне с жителями Тира,
