Chapter 9

1 And the fifth3991 angel32 sounded,4537 and I saw1492 a star792 fall4098 from heaven3772 to the earth:1093 and to him was given1325 the key2807 of the bottomless12 pit.5421

2 And he opened455 the bottomless12 pit;5421 and there arose305 a smoke2586 out of the pit,5421 as the smoke2586 of a great3173 furnace;2575 and the sun2246 and the air109 were darkened4654 by reason1537 of the smoke2586 of the pit.5421

3 And there came1831 out of the smoke2586 locusts200 on the earth:1093 and to them was given1325 power,1849 as the scorpions4651 of the earth1093 have2192 power.1849

4 And it was commanded4483 them that they should not hurt91 the grass5528 of the earth,1093 neither any3956 green5515 thing, neither any3956 tree;1186 but only3441 those3588 men444 which3748 have2192 not the seal4973 of God2316 in their foreheads.3359

5 And to them it was given1325 that they should not kill615 them, but that they should be tormented928 five4002 months:3376 and their torment929 was as the torment929 of a scorpion,4651 when3752 he strikes3817 a man.444

6 And in those1565 days2250 shall men444 seek2212 death,2288 and shall not find2147 it; and shall desire1937 to die,599 and death2288 shall flee5343 from them.

7 And the shapes3667 of the locusts200 were like3664 to horses2462 prepared2090 to battle;4171 and on1909 their heads2776 were as it were crowns4735 like3664 gold,5557 and their faces4383 were as the faces4383 of men.444

8 And they had2192 hair2359 as the hair2359 of women,1135 and their teeth3599 were as the teeth of lions.3023

9 And they had2192 breastplates,2382 as it were breastplates2382 of iron;4603 and the sound5456 of their wings4420 was as the sound5456 of chariots716 of many4183 horses2462 running5143 to battle.4171

10 And they had2192 tails3769 like3664 to scorpions,4651 and there were stings2759 in their tails:3769 and their power1849 was to hurt91 men444 five4002 months.3376

11 And they had2192 a king935 over1909 them, which is the angel32 of the bottomless12 pit, whose846 name3686 in the Hebrew1447 tongue1447 is Abaddon,3 but in the Greek1673 tongue has2192 his name3686 Apollyon.623

12 One3391 woe3759 is past;565 and, behold,2400 there come2064 two1417 woes3759 more2089 hereafter.3326 5023

13 And the sixth1623 angel32 sounded,4537 and I heard191 a voice5456 from the four5064 horns2768 of the golden5552 altar2379 which3588 is before1799 God,2316

14 Saying3004 to the sixth1623 angel32 which3739 had2192 the trumpet,4536 Loose3089 the four5064 angels32 which3588 are bound1210 in the great3173 river4215 Euphrates.2166

15 And the four5064 angels32 were loosed,3089 which3588 were prepared2090 for an hour,5610 and a day,2250 and a month,3376 and a year,1763 for to slay615 the third5154 part of men.444

16 And the number706 of the army4753 of the horsemen2461 were two1417 hundred3461 thousand3461 thousand:3461 and I heard191 the number706 of them.

17 And thus3779 I saw1492 the horses2462 in the vision,3706 and them that sat2521 on1909 them, having2192 breastplates2382 of fire,4447 and of jacinth,5191 and brimstone:2306 and the heads2776 of the horses2462 were as the heads2776 of lions;3023 and out of their mouths4750 issued1607 fire4442 and smoke2586 and brimstone.2303

18 By these5130 three5140 was the third5154 part of men444 killed,615 by the fire,4442 and by the smoke,2586 and by the brimstone,2303 which3588 issued1607 out of their mouths.4750

19 For their power1849 is in their mouth,4750 and in their tails:3769 for their tails3769 were like3664 to serpents,3789 and had2192 heads,2776 and with them they do hurt.91

20 And the rest3062 of the men444 which3739 were not killed615 by these5025 plagues4127 yet repented3340 not of the works2041 of their hands,5495 that they should not worship4352 devils,1140 and idols1497 of gold,5552 and silver,693 and brass,5470 and stone,3035 and of wood:3585 which3739 neither3777 can1410 see,991 nor3777 hear,191 nor3777 walk:4043

21 Neither2532 3756 repented3340 they of their murders,5408 nor3777 of their sorceries,5331 nor3777 of their fornication,4202 nor3777 of their thefts.2809

2 Когда она отомкнула проход, ведущий к бездне, то из прохода вышел дым, словно из огромной печи. И потемнело небо, и солнце потускнело от дыма, валившего из прохода.

3 А из облака дыма на землю пала саранча, и ей была дана сила, подобная той, что имеют на земле скорпионы.

4 Но ей было сказано, чтобы она не вредила ни траве, ни земле, ни растениям, ни деревьям, а только людям, на лбу у которых нет печати Бога.

5 И приказано было саранче не убивать их, а мучить болью в течение пяти месяцев. Та боль была подобна боли, которую причиняет скорпион, когда ужалит человека.

6 И всё это время люди будут искать смерти, но не смогут найти её. Они пожелают смерти, но она не придёт к ним.

7 Саранча же была похожа на коней, готовых к битве. На головах у саранчи были золотые венцы, а лица похожи на человеческие.

8 Волосы у неё были словно женские волосы, а зубы подобны львиным клыкам.

9 Её грудь была словно железная броня, а шум её крыльев подобен грохоту множества колесниц, влекомых скакунами, рвущимися в бой.

10 У неё были хвосты с жалами, словно жала скорпионов, и в хвостах было достаточно силы, чтобы вредить людям в течение пяти месяцев.

11 Царём у них был ангел, охранявший бездну, зовущийся Аваддон по-еврейски, по-гречески же он назывался Аполлион.

12 Первая беда миновала. Но ещё большие две напасти последуют за ней.

13 Шестой Ангел затрубил в свою трубу, и я услышал голос, раздавшийся из четырёх рогов золотого алтаря, находившегося перед Богом.

14 Затем голос сказал шестому Ангелу с трубой: «Освободи четырёх Ангелов, прикованных у великой реки Евфрат».

15 И освобождены были четыре Ангела, приготовленные для этого самого часа, дня, месяца и года, чтобы убить одну треть людей.

16 Я слышал, сколько там всего было конных — двести миллионов.

17 Вот как выглядели кони и их всадники в моём видении. У них были нагрудники огненно-красные, тёмно-синие и жёлтые, словно сера. Их головы были как львиные головы, а изо рта у них исходил огонь, дым и сера.

18 И тремя этими напастями была убита одна треть людей — огнём, дымом и серой, которые извергались у них изо рта.

19 Сила коней была в их ртах и хвостах, так как их хвосты были словно змеи с головами, жалящими и поражающими людей.

20 Остальные люди, которые не погибли от этих напастей, не покаялись в том, что сотворили собственными руками. Они не прекратили поклоняться бесам и идолам золотым, серебряным, медным, каменным и деревянным, которые не могут ни видеть, ни слышать, ни двигаться.

21 Они не покаялись ни в совершённых ими убийствах, ни в колдовстве, ни в разврате, ни в воровстве.

2 Когда она отомкнула проход, ведущий к бездне, то из прохода вышел дым, словно из огромной печи. И потемнело небо, и солнце потускнело от дыма, валившего из прохода.

3 And there came1831 out of the smoke2586 locusts200 on the earth:1093 and to them was given1325 power,1849 as the scorpions4651 of the earth1093 have2192 power.1849

3 А из облака дыма на землю пала саранча, и ей была дана сила, подобная той, что имеют на земле скорпионы.

7 Саранча же была похожа на коней, готовых к битве. На головах у саранчи были золотые венцы, а лица похожи на человеческие.

8 And they had2192 hair2359 as the hair2359 of women,1135 and their teeth3599 were as the teeth of lions.3023

8 Волосы у неё были словно женские волосы, а зубы подобны львиным клыкам.

9 And they had2192 breastplates,2382 as it were breastplates2382 of iron;4603 and the sound5456 of their wings4420 was as the sound5456 of chariots716 of many4183 horses2462 running5143 to battle.4171

9 Её грудь была словно железная броня, а шум её крыльев подобен грохоту множества колесниц, влекомых скакунами, рвущимися в бой.

15 И освобождены были четыре Ангела, приготовленные для этого самого часа, дня, месяца и года, чтобы убить одну треть людей.

16 And the number706 of the army4753 of the horsemen2461 were two1417 hundred3461 thousand3461 thousand:3461 and I heard191 the number706 of them.

16 Я слышал, сколько там всего было конных — двести миллионов.

17 And thus3779 I saw1492 the horses2462 in the vision,3706 and them that sat2521 on1909 them, having2192 breastplates2382 of fire,4447 and of jacinth,5191 and brimstone:2306 and the heads2776 of the horses2462 were as the heads2776 of lions;3023 and out of their mouths4750 issued1607 fire4442 and smoke2586 and brimstone.2303

17 Вот как выглядели кони и их всадники в моём видении. У них были нагрудники огненно-красные, тёмно-синие и жёлтые, словно сера. Их головы были как львиные головы, а изо рта у них исходил огонь, дым и сера.

18 И тремя этими напастями была убита одна треть людей — огнём, дымом и серой, которые извергались у них изо рта.

19 For their power1849 is in their mouth,4750 and in their tails:3769 for their tails3769 were like3664 to serpents,3789 and had2192 heads,2776 and with them they do hurt.91

19 Сила коней была в их ртах и хвостах, так как их хвосты были словно змеи с головами, жалящими и поражающими людей.

20 Остальные люди, которые не погибли от этих напастей, не покаялись в том, что сотворили собственными руками. Они не прекратили поклоняться бесам и идолам золотым, серебряным, медным, каменным и деревянным, которые не могут ни видеть, ни слышать, ни двигаться.

21 Neither2532 3756 repented3340 they of their murders,5408 nor3777 of their sorceries,5331 nor3777 of their fornication,4202 nor3777 of their thefts.2809
