|
1 O GIVE thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. |
|
2 Sing to him, sing psalms to him, talk of all his wondrous works. |
|
3 Glory in his holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. |
|
4 Seek the LORD, and be strong, seek his face evermore. |
|
5 Remember his marvellous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth, |
|
6 O you descendants of Abraham his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen. |
|
7 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. |
|
8 He has remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. |
|
9 For he made his covenant with Abraham, and his oaths to Isaac; |
|
10 And confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, |
|
11 Saying, To you will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance, |
|
12 When they were but a few men in number, yea, very few, and strangers in it. |
|
13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; |
|
14 He suffered no man to do them wrong; yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, |
|
15 That they might touch not his anointed, and do his prophets no harm. |
|
16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole stalk of their wheat. |
|
17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant, |
|
18 Whose feet they bound with fetters; he was laid in iron |
|
19 Until the time that his word came; the word of the LORD tried him. |
|
20 The king sent and released him, and made him a ruler over his people. |
|
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions, |
|
22 To discipline the governors at his pleasure and to teach the elders wisdom. |
|
23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. |
|
24 And he increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their enemies. |
|
25 He turned their hearts to hate his people, to deal subtly with his servants. |
|
26 He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron whom he had chosen. |
|
27 They showed his signs among them and wonders in the land of Ham. |
|
28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and yet they rebelled against his word. |
|
29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish. |
|
30 Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the inner chambers of their kings. |
|
31 He spoke, and there came different sorts of flies and lice in all their borders. |
|
32 He turned their rain into hail; and brought flaming fire into their land. |
|
33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and broke the trees within their borders. |
|
34 He spoke and the locusts came and caterpillars, and that without numbers throughout their land. |
|
35 And they devoured all the herbs and the fruit of their lands. |
|
36 He smote also all the first-born of Egypt, the first-born of all their boys. |
|
37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. |
|
38 Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them fell upon them. |
|
39 He spread a cloud to shade them, and fire to give light in the night. |
|
40 The people asked, and he brought quails and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. |
|
41 He opened the rock and the waters gushed out; and water flowed in the dry land. |
|
42 For he remembered his holy promise which he had given to Abraham his servant. |
|
43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his young men with gladness, |
|
44 And gave them the lands of the Gentiles; and they inherited the labor of the people. |
|
45 That they might observe his statutes and keep his laws. Praise the LORD. |

2 Хто розка́же про ве́лич Господню, розповість усю славу Його́? |
|
3 Блаженні, хто де́ржиться права, хто чинить правду кожного ча́су! |
|
4 Згадай мене, Господи, в ласці Своїй до народу Свого́, відві́дай мене спасі́нням Своїм, |
|
5 щоб побачити добре вибра́нців Твоїх, щоб я ті́шився радощами Твого наро́ду, і хвалився зо спа́дком Твоїм! |
|
6 Ми згрішили з батька́ми своїми, скриви́ли, неправди́ве чинили. |
|
7 Не зважа́ли на чу́да Твої батьки наші в Єгипті, многоти́ Твоїх ласк не прига́дували й бунтува́лись над морем, над морем Черво́ним. |
|
8 Та Він ради Ймення Свого їх спас, щоб виявити Свою силу. |
|
9 Він кли́кнув на море Червоне — і ви́сохло, і Він їх повів через мо́рські глиби́ни, немов по пустині! |
|
10 І Він спас їх з руки неприя́теля, визволив їх з руки ворога,— |
|
11 і закрила вода супроти́вників їхніх, жоден з них не зоста́вся! |
|
12 Тоді то в слова́ Його вві́рували, виспі́вували Йому славу. |
|
13 Та скоро забули вони Його чин, не чекали пора́ди Його́, |
|
14 і пала́ли в пустині жада́нням, і Бога в пустині ізнов випробо́вували, |
|
15 і Він їхнє жада́ння їм дав, але худість послав в їхню душу. |
|
16 Та Мойсею поза́здрили в та́борі, й Ааронові, святому Господньому. |
|
17 Розкрилась земля — і Дата́на погли́нула, Авіро́нові збори накрила, |
|
18 і огонь запалав на їхніх збо́рах, — і по́лум'я те попали́ло безбожних. |
|
19 Зробили тельця́ на Хори́ві, і били поклони бовва́нові ви́литому, — |
|
20 і змінили вони свою славу на образ вола́, що траву пожирає, |
|
21 забули про Бога, свого Спасителя, що велике в Єгипті вчинив, |
|
22 у землі Ха́мовій чу́да, страшні ре́чі над морем Червоним. |
|
23 І сказав Він пони́щити їх, коли б не Мойсей, вибра́нець Його, що став був у ви́ломі перед обличчям Його — відверну́ти Його гнів, щоб не шкодив! |
|
24 Погордили землею жада́ною, не повірили сло́ву Його, |
|
25 і ре́мствували по наме́тах своїх, неслухня́ні були́ до Господнього голосу. |
|
26 І Він підійняв Свою ру́ку на них, щоб їх повали́ти в пустині, |
|
27 і щоб повалити їхнє пото́мство посеред наро́дів, та щоб розпоро́шити їх по країнах! |
|
28 І служили Ваа́лові пео́рському, й їли вони жертви мертвих, |
|
29 і діла́ми своїми розгні́вали Бога, — тому вдерлась зара́за між них! |
|
30 І встав тоді Пі́нхас та й розсуди́в, — і зара́за затри́малась, |
|
31 і йому порахо́вано в праведність це, з роду в рід аж навіки. |
|
32 І розгні́вали Бога вони над водою Мері́ви, і через них стало зле для Мойсея, |
|
33 бо духа його засмути́ли, і він говорив нерозва́жно уста́ми своїми. |
|
34 Вони не позни́щували тих наро́дів, що Господь говорив їм про них, — |
|
35 і поміша́лись з пога́нами, та їхніх учинків навчи́лись. |
|
36 І бо́жищам їхнім служили, а ті па́сткою стали для них. |
|
37 І прино́сили в жертву синів своїх, а дочо́к своїх — де́монам, |
|
38 — і кров чисту лили́, кров синів своїх і дочо́к своїх, що їх у жертву прино́сили бо́жищам ханаа́нським. І через кривавий пере́ступ земля поскверни́лась, |
|
39 і стали нечисті вони через учи́нки свої, і пере́люб чинили діла́ми своїми. |
|
40 І проти наро́ду Свого запалав гнів Господній, і спа́док Його Йому став оги́дним, |
|
41 і віддав їх у руку наро́дів, — і їхні нена́висники панували над ними, |
|
42 і їхні вороги їх гноби́ли, і вони впокори́лися під їхню руку. |
|
43 Багато разі́в Він визво́лював їх, але вони вперті були́ своїм за́думом, — і пригно́блено їх через їхню прови́ну! |
|
44 Та поба́чив Він їхню тісно́ту, коли почув їхні блага́ння, |
|
45 і Він пригадав їм Свого за повіта, і пожалував був за Своєю великою милістю, |

3 Блаженні, хто де́ржиться права, хто чинить правду кожного ча́су! |

4 Seek the LORD, and be strong, seek his face evermore. |
4 Згадай мене, Господи, в ласці Своїй до народу Свого́, відві́дай мене спасі́нням Своїм, |
|
5 Remember his marvellous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth, |
5 щоб побачити добре вибра́нців Твоїх, щоб я ті́шився радощами Твого наро́ду, і хвалився зо спа́дком Твоїм! |

19 Зробили тельця́ на Хори́ві, і били поклони бовва́нові ви́литому, — |

20 і змінили вони свою славу на образ вола́, що траву пожирає, |
|
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions, |
21 забули про Бога, свого Спасителя, що велике в Єгипті вчинив, |

27 і щоб повалити їхнє пото́мство посеред наро́дів, та щоб розпоро́шити їх по країнах! |
|

|

29 і діла́ми своїми розгні́вали Бога, — тому вдерлась зара́за між них! |

30 І встав тоді Пі́нхас та й розсуди́в, — і зара́за затри́малась, |
