1 MOREOVER the word of the LORD came to me, saying, |
|
2 Also, Son of man, thus says the LORD God to the land of Israel: The end is come upon the land of Israel, the end is come upon the four corners of the land. |
|
3 Now the end is come upon you, and I will pour out my wrath upon you, and I will judge you according to your ways and will recompense you all your abominations. |
|
4 And my eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will recompense you according to your ways, and your abominations shall be in your midst; and you shall know that I am the LORD. |
|
5 Thus says the LORD God: Behold, an evil is coming for every evil which you have committed. |
|
6 An end is coming, and it shall afflict you. |
|
7 The dawn of destruction is come upon you, O you inhabitant of the land; the time is come, the day of trouble is near. |
|
8 Now I will shortly pour out my wrath upon you, and I will pour out my anger upon you; and I will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense you for all your abominations. |
|
9 And my eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will recompense you according to your ways; and your abominations shall remain in the midst of you; and you shall know that I am the LORD who has smitten you. |
|
10 Behold the day is come, the dawn is gone forth; the staff has blossomed, the shame has budded. |
|
11 Violence has grown upon the staff of the wicked; none of them shall remain, neither their disturbances nor their works; nor shall I cease from punishing them. |
|
12 The time is come, the day draws near; let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller regret; for wrath is upon all their substance. |
|
13 For the buyer shall not return to the seller, for they will not be living; for catastrophe shall not spare any of their possessions; neither shall a man spare his life by means of his corruptness. |
|
14 They have blown the trumpet, and made all ready; but there is none that goes to battle; for my wrath is upon all their substance. |
|
15 The sword is in the streets, pestilence and famine in the houses; he that is in the field shall die by the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour. |
|
16 But those of them who escape shall escape on the mountains, and they shall take refuge like doves in the crags; all of them shall die every one in his own iniquity. |
|
17 All hands shall be feeble and all knees shall be weak. |
|
18 The people shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all heads. |
|
19 They shall cast their silver into the streets, and their gold shall be despised; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD; they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bellies; because this is their torment on account of their iniquity. |
|
20 And the beauty of their ornaments, which they made with excellency for the images and altars of their abominations, I have made, therefore, to be despised; |
|
21 And I will give it into the hands of strangers for a prey and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it. |
|
22 And I will turn my face from them, and they shall pollute my sanctuary, and robbers shall enter into it and defile it. |
|
23 And they shall attack it with bricks; for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of iniquity. |
|
24 Therefore I will bring shepherds of Gentiles, and they shall possess their houses; I will also make the excellency of the mighty ones to cease; and the Gentiles shall possess their sanctuary. |
|
25 Indignation is coming; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none. |
|
26 Calamity shall come upon calamity, and rumor shall be upon rumor; then they shall seek a vision from the prophets; but the law shall perish from the priests, and counsel from the elders. |
|
27 The king shall sit in mourning and the prince shall be clothed with desolation and the hands of the people of the land shall tremble; I will do to them according to their evil way, and according to their own judgments will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD. |

2 „А ти, сину лю́дський, послухай: Отак Господь Бог промовляє до кра́ю Ізраїлевого: Кіне́ць, надійшов той кінець на чотири окра́йки землі! |
|
3 На те́бе тепер цей кінець, і пошлю́ Я на те́бе Свій гнів, і тебе́ розсуджу́ за твоїми доро́гами, і на тебе складу́ всі гидо́ти твої. |
|
4 І око Моє над тобою не зми́лується, і милосе́рдя не бу́ду Я мати, бо доро́ги твої Я на тебе складу́, а гидо́ти твої серед тебе зоста́нуть, і пізнаєте ви, що Я — то Господь!“ |
|
5 Отак Господь Бог промовляє: „Ось прихо́дить біда на біду́! |
|
6 Прихо́дить кінець, прихо́дить кінець, — він збуди́вся на тебе, прихо́дить ось він! |
|
7 Надійшла твоя доля для тебе, о ме́шканче кра́ю, приходить цей час, близьки́й той день за́колоту, нема на гора́х крику радости. |
|
8 Тепер лютість Свою незаба́ром Я виллю на те́бе, і Свій гнів докінчу́ проти те́бе, і тебе́ осуджу́ за твоїми дорогами, і на те́бе складу́ всі гидо́ти твої! |
|
9 І око Моє над тобою не зми́лується, і милосе́рдя не бу́ду Я мати, бо доро́ги твої Я на тебе складу́, а гидо́ти твої серед тебе зали́шаться, — і пізнаєте ви, що Я — Госпо́дь, що карає! |
|
10 Ось той день, ось прихо́дить, доля виходить, виро́стає кий, розцвітає пиха, |
|
11 розвило́ся наси́льство для ки́я безбожності! Нічого із них не зали́шиться: ані з числе́нности їхньої, ані з їхнього завору́шення, ані з їхньої пишноти́. |
|
12 Надходить той час, наближа́ється день. Хто купує, нехай не радіє, а хто продає, хай не буде в жало́бі, — бо сунеться лютість на все многолю́ддя його! |
|
13 Бо до про́даного не пове́рнеться вже продаве́ць, хоча б залиши́вся при житті між живими, бо пророцтво про все многолю́ддя їхнє не відмі́ниться, і ніхто беззаконням своїм не зміцни́ть свого життя. |
|
14 Засу́рмлять у су́рму та все приготу́ють, — та не пі́де ніхто на війну́, бо на все многолю́ддя його Моя лютість! |
|
15 На вулиці — меч, морови́ця ж та голод — у домі, хто на полі — помре від меча, а хто в місті — зжере́ того голод та мор. |
|
16 І врято́вані з них повтікають, і бу́дуть на го́рах, немов голуби́ із долин, — всі бу́дуть стогна́ти, кожен за гріх свій. |
|
17 Усі ру́ки осла́бнуть, затремтя́ть, як вода, всі колі́на, |
|
18 і вере́тами попідпері́зуються, і покри́є їх страх, і на кожнім лиці буде сором, а на всіх голова́х їхніх — жало́бна та ли́сина. |
|
19 Вони повикида́ють на вулицю срі́бло своє, і за ніщо́ їхнє золото стане, — їхнє срі́бло та золото їхнє не буде могти́ врятувати їх удень гніву Господнього, ним не наси́тять своєї душі й свого ну́тра вони не напо́внять, бо їхня провина була перешкодою! |
|
20 А гордість вчинили за славну оздо́бу свою́, у ній наробили бовва́нів гидо́ти своєї й обри́джень своїх, тому їм оберну́ Я її на нечистість, — |
|
21 і віддам її в руку чужих на грабу́нок, а нечестивим землі — на здобич. |
|
22 І обличчя Своє відверну́ Я від них, і вони побезче́стять Мій скарб, і вві́йдуть до нього наси́льники та й побезче́стять його́. |
|
23 Зроби ланцюга́, бо земля перепо́внилась правом крива́вим, а місто наси́льством напо́внилось. |
|
24 І наведу́ Я найзліших із наро́дів, — і пося́дуть вони доми їхні, і гордість вельмо́жних спиню́, — і свя́тощі їхні побезче́щені бу́дуть! |
|
25 Загибіль іде, й вони будуть шукати споко́ю — та не буде його. |
|
26 При́йде біда до біди, й буде звістка до звістки, і бу́дуть шукати проро́цтва в пророка, та згине Зако́н у священиків і рада — у ста́рших. |
|
27 Цар буде в жало́бі, і стра́хом зодя́гнеться князь, а ру́ки наро́ду землі затремтя́ть. За доро́гами їхніми їм учиню́, і судитиму їх — їхніми суда́ми, і пізна́ють, що Я — то Госпо́дь!“ |

1 MOREOVER the word of the LORD came to me, saying, |

2 „А ти, сину лю́дський, послухай: Отак Господь Бог промовляє до кра́ю Ізраїлевого: Кіне́ць, надійшов той кінець на чотири окра́йки землі! |

3 Now the end is come upon you, and I will pour out my wrath upon you, and I will judge you according to your ways and will recompense you all your abominations. |
3 На те́бе тепер цей кінець, і пошлю́ Я на те́бе Свій гнів, і тебе́ розсуджу́ за твоїми доро́гами, і на тебе складу́ всі гидо́ти твої. |
|
4 And my eye shall not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will recompense you according to your ways, and your abominations shall be in your midst; and you shall know that I am the LORD. |
4 І око Моє над тобою не зми́лується, і милосе́рдя не бу́ду Я мати, бо доро́ги твої Я на тебе складу́, а гидо́ти твої серед тебе зоста́нуть, і пізнаєте ви, що Я — то Господь!“ |

5 Отак Господь Бог промовляє: „Ось прихо́дить біда на біду́! |
|
6 An end is coming, and it shall afflict you. |
6 Прихо́дить кінець, прихо́дить кінець, — він збуди́вся на тебе, прихо́дить ось він! |
|
7 The dawn of destruction is come upon you, O you inhabitant of the land; the time is come, the day of trouble is near. |
7 Надійшла твоя доля для тебе, о ме́шканче кра́ю, приходить цей час, близьки́й той день за́колоту, нема на гора́х крику радости. |
|
8 Now I will shortly pour out my wrath upon you, and I will pour out my anger upon you; and I will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense you for all your abominations. |
8 Тепер лютість Свою незаба́ром Я виллю на те́бе, і Свій гнів докінчу́ проти те́бе, і тебе́ осуджу́ за твоїми дорогами, і на те́бе складу́ всі гидо́ти твої! |

9 І око Моє над тобою не зми́лується, і милосе́рдя не бу́ду Я мати, бо доро́ги твої Я на тебе складу́, а гидо́ти твої серед тебе зали́шаться, — і пізнаєте ви, що Я — Госпо́дь, що карає! |

10 Ось той день, ось прихо́дить, доля виходить, виро́стає кий, розцвітає пиха, |

11 розвило́ся наси́льство для ки́я безбожності! Нічого із них не зали́шиться: ані з числе́нности їхньої, ані з їхнього завору́шення, ані з їхньої пишноти́. |

12 Надходить той час, наближа́ється день. Хто купує, нехай не радіє, а хто продає, хай не буде в жало́бі, — бо сунеться лютість на все многолю́ддя його! |

13 Бо до про́даного не пове́рнеться вже продаве́ць, хоча б залиши́вся при житті між живими, бо пророцтво про все многолю́ддя їхнє не відмі́ниться, і ніхто беззаконням своїм не зміцни́ть свого життя. |
|

14 Засу́рмлять у су́рму та все приготу́ють, — та не пі́де ніхто на війну́, бо на все многолю́ддя його Моя лютість! |

15 На вулиці — меч, морови́ця ж та голод — у домі, хто на полі — помре від меча, а хто в місті — зжере́ того голод та мор. |

16 І врято́вані з них повтікають, і бу́дуть на го́рах, немов голуби́ із долин, — всі бу́дуть стогна́ти, кожен за гріх свій. |

19 Вони повикида́ють на вулицю срі́бло своє, і за ніщо́ їхнє золото стане, — їхнє срі́бло та золото їхнє не буде могти́ врятувати їх удень гніву Господнього, ним не наси́тять своєї душі й свого ну́тра вони не напо́внять, бо їхня провина була перешкодою! |
|

20 А гордість вчинили за славну оздо́бу свою́, у ній наробили бовва́нів гидо́ти своєї й обри́джень своїх, тому їм оберну́ Я її на нечистість, — |

21 і віддам її в руку чужих на грабу́нок, а нечестивим землі — на здобич. |
