Psalm 48

1 GREAT is our LORD, and exceedingly exalted in the city of our God and in his holy and glorious mountain.

2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion on the slopes of the north, the city of the great King.

3 God shows his might in her walled cities.

4 For, lo, the kings were prepared, and they passed by together.

5 They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were frustrated and hastened away.

6 Fear took hold of them, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 With a violent storm, the ships of Tarshish shall be broken.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of our God; God will establish it for ever.

9 We have trusted upon thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 As is thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth; thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad because of thy judgments, O LORD.

12 Circle Zion, and go round about her; count the towers thereof.

13 Mark well her strength and the depth of her bulwarks, that you may tell it to another generation.

14 For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide until death.

4 Уста6310 мои изрекут1696 премудрость,2454 и размышления1900 сердца3820 моего — знание.8394

5 Приклоню5186 ухо241 мое к притче,4912 на гуслях3658 открою6605 загадку2420 мою:

6 «для чего бояться3372 мне во дни3117 бедствия,7451 когда беззаконие5771 путей6120 моих окружит5437 меня?»

7 Надеющиеся982 на силы2428 свои и хвалящиеся1984 множеством7230 богатства6239 своего!

8 человек376 никак не искупит6299 брата251 своего и не даст5414 Богу430 выкупа3724 за него:

9 дорога3365 цена искупления6306 души5315 их, и не2308 будет2308 того вовек,5769

10 чтобы остался2421 кто жить2421 навсегда5331 и не увидел7200 могилы.7845

11 Каждый видит,7200 что и мудрые2450 умирают,4191 равно3162 как и невежды3684 и бессмысленные1198 погибают6 и оставляют5800 имущество2428 свое другим.312

12 В мыслях7130 у них, что домы1004 их вечны,5769 и что жилища4908 их в род1755 и род,1755 и земли127 свои они называют7121 своими именами.8034
