1 THE word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:

3 And they committed whoredom in Egypt in their youth; there were their breasts fondled, there was their virginity broken.

4 And the name of the elder was Ahlah, and the name of the younger was Ahlibah; and they were mine, and they bore sons and daughters. Thus were their names: Samaria is Ahlah and Jerusalem is Ahlibah.

5 And Ahlah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbors,

6 Who were clothed with blue, lords and captains, desirable young men, all of them horsemen riding on horses.

7 Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all the chosen men of Assyria and with all on whom she doted; with all their idols she defiled herself.

8 Neither did she leave the whoredoms which she had committed in Egypt; for in her youth they defiled her and they broke her virginity and poured out their whoredom upon her.

9 Therefore I have delivered her into the hands of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.

10 These uncovered her nakedness; they carried away her sons and daughters, and slew her with the sword; and she became a byword among women; for her paramours had executed judgment upon her.

11 And when her sister Ahlibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her excessive lust than she, and her whoredoms were more than the whoredoms of her sister.

12 She doted upon the Assyrians her neighbors, lords and captains clothed with blue, horsemen riding on horses, all of them desirable young men.

13 Then I saw that the ways of both of them were defiled.

14 And they added to their whoredoms; for when they saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed in vermilion,

15 Girded with girdles upon their loins and with turbans tied on their heads, all of them handsome men to look at, the likeness of the sons of Babylon and of the land of the Chaldeans, the land of their nativity;

16 As soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them, and sent messengers to them to the land of the Chaldeans,

17 And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted by them; then her soul abhorred them.

18 So she exposed her fornications and uncovered her nakedness; then my soul abhorred her just as my soul abhorred her sister.

19 Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, remembering the days of her youth in which she played the harlot in the land of Egypt;

20 For she doted upon their servants, whose male organs are like those of asses, and whose privates are like those of horses.

21 Thus you have missed the wickedness of your youth, when your virginity was broken in Egypt, and the breasts of your youth were fondled.

22 Therefore, O Ahlibah, thus says the LORD God: Behold, I will stir up your lovers against you, the lovers whom your soul has abhorred, and I will bring them against you.

23 And the Babylonians and the Chaldeans shall surround you, Pod Lod, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them; all of them desirable young men, lords and captains, all renowned men, all of them riding on horses.

24 And they shall come against you well armed with chariots, wagons, and with a host of people, who shall set against you with spears, bucklers, shields, and helmets round about; and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge you according to their judgments.

25 And I will set my indignation against you, and they shall crush your nose with fury and shall pluck out your ears; and your remnant shall fall by the sword; they shall carry away your sons and your daughters; and your residue shall be devoured by fire,

26 They shall also strip you of your clothes and take away your costly jewels.

27 Thus I will nullify your counsel and the whoredom which you brought from the land of Egypt, so that you shall not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.

28 For thus says the LORD God: Behold, I will deliver you into the hands of those whom you hate, into the hands of the Assyrians whom your soul abhorred;

29 And they shall deal with you with hate, and shall take away all your labor, and shall leave you naked and bare, and the nakedness of your whoredoms and your iniquities shall be uncovered.

30 These things were done to you because of your whoredom, for you have played the harlot with the Gentiles and polluted yourself with their idols.

31 And because you have walked in the ways of your sister; therefore I will give her cup into your hands.

32 Thus says the LORD God: You shall drink your sister's cup deep and large; you shall become a laughingstock, and be ridiculed and scorned; for it contains much.

33 You shall be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of horror and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria.

34 Then you shall even drink it and drain it out, and you shall cut off your hair and tear your breasts; for I have spoken it, says the LORD God.

35 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have forgotten me and cast me off behind your idols, therefore you also shall bear your lewdness and your whoredoms.

36 The LORD said to me, Son of man, now you can judge Ahlah and Ahlibah, and declare to them their abominations;

37 For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands, and with their idols they have committed adultery and have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to be consumed in the fire.

38 Moreover this they have done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day and have profaned my sabbaths;

39 For when they had slain their children to their idols, they came the same day into my sanctuary and profaned it; and, 1o, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

40 Also they sent for men who came from afar, to whom they had sent messengers; and, 1o, as soon as they arrived, they bathed and painted their eyes, and adorned themselves with ornaments.

41 Then they sat on stately beds, and tables were prepared before them, and my oil and my incense were wasted on them.

42 And the sound of their merrymaking could be heard everywhere, and the voices of men who had come from Sheba and from the desert, who put bracelets upon their wrists, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.

43 Then I said. With these men have they played the harlot and committed the acts of harlots.

44 And they went in to them as to a woman who plays the harlot; so went they in to Ahlah and to Ahlibah, the harlots.

45 And the righteous men shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and the judgment of those who shed blood, because they are adulteresses, and blood is on their hands.

46 For thus says the LORD God, I will bring up a multitude against them, and will give them over to terror and spoil.

47 And the multitude shall stone them with stones and thrust them through with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters and burn their houses with fire.

48 Thus will I put an end to lewdness from the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your whoredom.

49 And I will recompense your lewdness upon you, and you shall bear the sins of your idols; and you shall know that I am the LORD God.

7 и расточала5414 блудодеяния8457 свои со всеми отборными4005 из сынов1121 Ассура,804 и оскверняла5689 себя всеми идолами1544 тех, к кому ни пристращалась;2930

8 не переставала5800 блудить8457 и с Египтянами,4714 потому что они с нею спали7901 в молодости5271 ее и растлевали6213 девственные1331 сосцы1717 ее, и изливали8210 на нее похоть8457 свою.

9 За то Я и отдал5414 ее в руки3027 любовников157 ее, в руки3027 сынов Ассура,1121804 к которым она пристрастилась.5689

10 Они открыли1540 наготу6172 ее, взяли3947 сыновей1121 ее и дочерей1323 ее, а ее убили2026 мечом.2719 И она сделалась позором8034 между женщинами,802 когда совершили6213 над нею казнь.8196

11 Сестра269 ее, Оголива,172 видела7200 это, и еще развращеннее7843 была7843 в любви5691 своей, и блужение8457 ее превзошло блужение2183 сестры269 ее.

12 Она пристрастилась5689 к сынам1121 Ассуровым,804 к областеначальникам6346 и градоправителям,5461 соседям7138 ее, пышно4358 одетым,3847 к всадникам,6571 ездящим7392 на конях,5483 ко всем отборным2531 юношам.970

13 И Я видел,7200 что она осквернила2930 себя, и что у обеих8147 их одна259 дорога.1870

14 Но эта еще умножила3254 блудодеяния8457 свои, потому что, увидев7200 вырезанных2707 на стене7023 мужчин,582 красками8350 нарисованные2710 изображения6754 Халдеев,3778

15 опоясанных2289 по чреслам4975 своим поясом,232 с роскошными5628 на голове7218 их повязками,2871 имеющих вид4758 военачальников,7991 похожих1823 на сынов1121 Вавилона,894 которых родина4138 земля776 Халдейская,3778

16 она влюбилась5689 в них по одному взгляду4758 очей5869 своих и послала7971 к ним в Халдею3778 послов.4397

17 И пришли935 к ней сыны Вавилона1121894 на любовное1730 ложе,4904 и осквернили2930 ее блудодейством8457 своим, и она осквернила2930 себя ими; и отвратилась3363 от них душа5315 ее.

18 Когда же она явно1540 предалась1540 блудодеяниям8457 своим и открыла1540 наготу6172 свою, тогда и от нее отвратилась3363 душа5315 Моя, как отвратилась5361 душа5315 Моя от сестры269 ее.

19 И она умножала7235 блудодеяния8457 свои, вспоминая2142 дни3117 молодости5271 своей, когда блудила2181 в земле776 Египетской;4714

20 и пристрастилась5689 к любовникам6370 своим, у которых плоть1320 — плоть1320 ослиная,2543 и похоть,2231 как у жеребцов.5483

21 Так ты вспомнила6485 распутство2154 молодости5271 твоей, когда Египтяне4714 жали6213 сосцы1717 твои из-за девственных5271 грудей7699 твоих.

22 Посему, Оголива,172 так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 вот, Я возбужу5782 против тебя любовников157 твоих, от которых отвратилась5361 душа5315 твоя, и приведу935 их против тебя со5439 всех5439 сторон:5439

23 сынов1121 Вавилона894 и всех Халдеев,3778 из Пехода,6489 из Шоа7772 и Коа,6970 и с ними всех сынов1121 Ассура,804 красивых2531 юношей,970 областеначальников6346 и градоправителей,5461 сановных7991 и именитых,7121 всех искусных7392 наездников.5483

24 И придут935 на тебя с оружием,2021 с конями7393 и колесницами1534 и с множеством6951 народа,5971 и обступят7760 тебя кругом5439 в латах,6793 со щитами4043 и в шлемах,6959 и отдам5414 им тебя на суд,4941 и будут8199 судить8199 тебя своим судом.4941

25 И обращу5414 ревность7068 Мою против тебя, и поступят6213 с тобою яростно:2534 отрежут5493 у тебя нос639 и уши,241 а остальное319 твое от меча2719 падет;5307 возьмут3947 сыновей1121 твоих и дочерей1323 твоих, а остальное319 твое огнем784 будет398 пожрано;398

26 и снимут6584 с тебя одежды899 твои, возьмут3947 наряды85973627 твои.

27 И положу7673 конец7673 распутству2154 твоему и блужению2184 твоему, принесенному из земли776 Египетской,4714 и не будешь5375 обращать5375 к ним глаз5869 твоих, и о Египте4714 уже не вспомнишь.2142

28 Ибо так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 вот, Я предаю5414 тебя в руки3027 тех, которых ты возненавидела,8130 в руки3027 тех, от которых отвратилась5361 душа5315 твоя.

29 И поступят6213 с тобою жестоко,8135 и возьмут3947 у тебя все, нажитое трудами,3018 и оставят5800 тебя нагою5903 и непокрытою,6181 и открыта1540 будет1540 срамная2154 нагота6172 твоя, и распутство2183 твое, и блудодейство8457 твое.

30 Это будет6213 сделано6213 с тобою за310 блудодейство2181 твое с народами,1471 которых идолами1544 ты осквернила2930 себя.

31 Ты ходила1980 дорогою1870 сестры269 твоей; за то и дам5414 в руку3027 тебе чашу3563 ее.

32 Так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 ты будешь8354 пить8354 чашу3563 сестры269 твоей, глубокую6013 и широкую,7342 и подвергнешься посмеянию6712 и позору,3933 по огромной4767 вместительности3557 ее.

33 Опьянения7943 и горести3015 будешь4390 исполнена:4390 чаша3563 ужаса8047 и опустошения8077 — чаша3563 сестры269 твоей, Самарии!8111

34 И выпьешь8354 ее, и осушишь,4680 и черепки2789 ее оближешь,1633 и груди7699 твои истерзаешь:5423 ибо Я сказал1696 это, говорит5002 Господь136 Бог.3069

35 Посему так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 так как ты забыла7911 Меня и отвратилась79933101458 от Меня, то и терпи5375 за беззаконие2154 твое и за блудодейство8457 твое.

36 И сказал559 мне Господь:3068 сын1121 человеческий!120 хочешь ли судить8199 Оголу170 и Оголиву?172 выскажи5046 им мерзости8441 их;

37 ибо они прелюбодействовали,5003 и кровь1818 на руках3027 их, и с идолами1544 своими прелюбодействовали,5003 и сыновей1121 своих, которых родили3205 Мне, через огонь проводили5674 в пищу402 им.

38 Еще вот что они делали6213 Мне: оскверняли2930 святилище4720 Мое в тот же день,3117 и нарушали2490 субботы7676 Мои;

39 потому что, когда они заколали7819 детей1121 своих для идолов1544 своих, в тот же день3117 приходили935 в святилище4720 Мое, чтобы осквернять2490 его: вот как поступали6213 они в8432 доме1004 Моем!

40 Кроме637 сего посылали7971 за людьми,582 приходившими935 издалека;4801 к ним отправляли7971 послов,4397 и вот, они приходили,935 и ты для них умывалась,7364 сурьмила3583 глаза5869 твои и украшалась5710 нарядами,5716

41 и садились3427 на великолепное3520 ложе,4296 перед3942 которым приготовляем6186 был стол7979 и на котором предлагала7760 ты благовонные7004 курения7004 Мои и елей8081 Мой.

42 И раздавался голос6963 народа,1995 ликовавшего7961 у нее, и к людям582 из толпы7230 народной120 вводимы935 были935 пьяницы54365433 из пустыни;4057 и они возлагали5414 на руки3027 их запястья6781 и на головы7218 их красивые8597 венки.5850

43 Тогда сказал559 Я об одряхлевшей1087 в прелюбодействе:5004 теперь кончатся2181 блудодеяния8457 ее вместе с нею.

44 Но приходили935 к ней, как приходят935 к жене802 блуднице,2181 так приходили935 к Оголе170 и Оголиве,172 к распутным2154 женам.802

45 Но мужи582 праведные6662 будут8199 судить8199 их; они будут судить их судом4941 прелюбодейц5003 и судом4941 проливающих8210 кровь,1818 потому что они прелюбодейки,5003 и у них кровь1818 на руках.3027

46 Ибо так сказал559 Господь136 Бог:3069 созвать5927 на них собрание6951 и предать5414 их озлоблению2189 и грабежу.957

47 И собрание6951 побьет7275 их камнями,68 и изрубит1254 их мечами2719 своими, и убьет2026 сыновей1121 их и дочерей1323 их, и домы1004 их сожжет8313 огнем.784

48 Так положу7673 конец7673 распутству2154 на сей земле,776 и все женщины802 примут3256 урок,3256 и не будут6213 делать6213 срамных2154 дел2154 подобно вам;

49 и возложат5414 на вас ваше распутство,2154 и понесете5375 наказание за грехи2399 с идолами1544 вашими, и узнаете,3045 что Я Господь136 Бог.3069

25 И обращу5414 ревность7068 Мою против тебя, и поступят6213 с тобою яростно:2534 отрежут5493 у тебя нос639 и уши,241 а остальное319 твое от меча2719 падет;5307 возьмут3947 сыновей1121 твоих и дочерей1323 твоих, а остальное319 твое огнем784 будет398 пожрано;398

26 They shall also strip you of your clothes and take away your costly jewels.

26 и снимут6584 с тебя одежды899 твои, возьмут3947 наряды85973627 твои.

27 Thus I will nullify your counsel and the whoredom which you brought from the land of Egypt, so that you shall not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.

27 И положу7673 конец7673 распутству2154 твоему и блужению2184 твоему, принесенному из земли776 Египетской,4714 и не будешь5375 обращать5375 к ним глаз5869 твоих, и о Египте4714 уже не вспомнишь.2142

28 For thus says the LORD God: Behold, I will deliver you into the hands of those whom you hate, into the hands of the Assyrians whom your soul abhorred;

28 Ибо так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 вот, Я предаю5414 тебя в руки3027 тех, которых ты возненавидела,8130 в руки3027 тех, от которых отвратилась5361 душа5315 твоя.

29 And they shall deal with you with hate, and shall take away all your labor, and shall leave you naked and bare, and the nakedness of your whoredoms and your iniquities shall be uncovered.

29 И поступят6213 с тобою жестоко,8135 и возьмут3947 у тебя все, нажитое трудами,3018 и оставят5800 тебя нагою5903 и непокрытою,6181 и открыта1540 будет1540 срамная2154 нагота6172 твоя, и распутство2183 твое, и блудодейство8457 твое.

30 These things were done to you because of your whoredom, for you have played the harlot with the Gentiles and polluted yourself with their idols.

30 Это будет6213 сделано6213 с тобою за310 блудодейство2181 твое с народами,1471 которых идолами1544 ты осквернила2930 себя.

31 And because you have walked in the ways of your sister; therefore I will give her cup into your hands.

31 Ты ходила1980 дорогою1870 сестры269 твоей; за то и дам5414 в руку3027 тебе чашу3563 ее.

32 Thus says the LORD God: You shall drink your sister's cup deep and large; you shall become a laughingstock, and be ridiculed and scorned; for it contains much.

32 Так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 ты будешь8354 пить8354 чашу3563 сестры269 твоей, глубокую6013 и широкую,7342 и подвергнешься посмеянию6712 и позору,3933 по огромной4767 вместительности3557 ее.

33 You shall be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of horror and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria.

33 Опьянения7943 и горести3015 будешь4390 исполнена:4390 чаша3563 ужаса8047 и опустошения8077 — чаша3563 сестры269 твоей, Самарии!8111

34 Then you shall even drink it and drain it out, and you shall cut off your hair and tear your breasts; for I have spoken it, says the LORD God.

34 И выпьешь8354 ее, и осушишь,4680 и черепки2789 ее оближешь,1633 и груди7699 твои истерзаешь:5423 ибо Я сказал1696 это, говорит5002 Господь136 Бог.3069

35 Therefore thus says the LORD God: Because you have forgotten me and cast me off behind your idols, therefore you also shall bear your lewdness and your whoredoms.

35 Посему так говорит559 Господь136 Бог:3069 так как ты забыла7911 Меня и отвратилась79933101458 от Меня, то и терпи5375 за беззаконие2154 твое и за блудодейство8457 твое.

36 The LORD said to me, Son of man, now you can judge Ahlah and Ahlibah, and declare to them their abominations;

36 И сказал559 мне Господь:3068 сын1121 человеческий!120 хочешь ли судить8199 Оголу170 и Оголиву?172 выскажи5046 им мерзости8441 их;

37 For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands, and with their idols they have committed adultery and have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to be consumed in the fire.

37 ибо они прелюбодействовали,5003 и кровь1818 на руках3027 их, и с идолами1544 своими прелюбодействовали,5003 и сыновей1121 своих, которых родили3205 Мне, через огонь проводили5674 в пищу402 им.

38 Moreover this they have done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day and have profaned my sabbaths;

38 Еще вот что они делали6213 Мне: оскверняли2930 святилище4720 Мое в тот же день,3117 и нарушали2490 субботы7676 Мои;

39 For when they had slain their children to their idols, they came the same day into my sanctuary and profaned it; and, 1o, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

39 потому что, когда они заколали7819 детей1121 своих для идолов1544 своих, в тот же день3117 приходили935 в святилище4720 Мое, чтобы осквернять2490 его: вот как поступали6213 они в8432 доме1004 Моем!

40 Also they sent for men who came from afar, to whom they had sent messengers; and, 1o, as soon as they arrived, they bathed and painted their eyes, and adorned themselves with ornaments.

40 Кроме637 сего посылали7971 за людьми,582 приходившими935 издалека;4801 к ним отправляли7971 послов,4397 и вот, они приходили,935 и ты для них умывалась,7364 сурьмила3583 глаза5869 твои и украшалась5710 нарядами,5716

41 Then they sat on stately beds, and tables were prepared before them, and my oil and my incense were wasted on them.

41 и садились3427 на великолепное3520 ложе,4296 перед3942 которым приготовляем6186 был стол7979 и на котором предлагала7760 ты благовонные7004 курения7004 Мои и елей8081 Мой.

42 And the sound of their merrymaking could be heard everywhere, and the voices of men who had come from Sheba and from the desert, who put bracelets upon their wrists, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.

42 И раздавался голос6963 народа,1995 ликовавшего7961 у нее, и к людям582 из толпы7230 народной120 вводимы935 были935 пьяницы54365433 из пустыни;4057 и они возлагали5414 на руки3027 их запястья6781 и на головы7218 их красивые8597 венки.5850

43 Then I said. With these men have they played the harlot and committed the acts of harlots.

43 Тогда сказал559 Я об одряхлевшей1087 в прелюбодействе:5004 теперь кончатся2181 блудодеяния8457 ее вместе с нею.

44 And they went in to them as to a woman who plays the harlot; so went they in to Ahlah and to Ahlibah, the harlots.

44 Но приходили935 к ней, как приходят935 к жене802 блуднице,2181 так приходили935 к Оголе170 и Оголиве,172 к распутным2154 женам.802

45 And the righteous men shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and the judgment of those who shed blood, because they are adulteresses, and blood is on their hands.

45 Но мужи582 праведные6662 будут8199 судить8199 их; они будут судить их судом4941 прелюбодейц5003 и судом4941 проливающих8210 кровь,1818 потому что они прелюбодейки,5003 и у них кровь1818 на руках.3027

46 For thus says the LORD God, I will bring up a multitude against them, and will give them over to terror and spoil.

46 Ибо так сказал559 Господь136 Бог:3069 созвать5927 на них собрание6951 и предать5414 их озлоблению2189 и грабежу.957

47 And the multitude shall stone them with stones and thrust them through with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters and burn their houses with fire.

47 И собрание6951 побьет7275 их камнями,68 и изрубит1254 их мечами2719 своими, и убьет2026 сыновей1121 их и дочерей1323 их, и домы1004 их сожжет8313 огнем.784

48 Thus will I put an end to lewdness from the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your whoredom.

48 Так положу7673 конец7673 распутству2154 на сей земле,776 и все женщины802 примут3256 урок,3256 и не будут6213 делать6213 срамных2154 дел2154 подобно вам;

49 And I will recompense your lewdness upon you, and you shall bear the sins of your idols; and you shall know that I am the LORD God.

49 и возложат5414 на вас ваше распутство,2154 и понесете5375 наказание за грехи2399 с идолами1544 вашими, и узнаете,3045 что Я Господь136 Бог.3069
