Psalm 75

1 UNTO thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks and call upon thy name.

2 We will declare all thy wondrous works; then the time will come when I will judge uprightly.

3 Then the earth and all the inhabitants thereof shall be humbled; thou hast ordained the people thereof.

4 Thou saidst to the fools, Deal not foolishly, and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn;

5 Lift not up your horn on high; speak not with a stiff neck.

6 For defence comes neither from the west nor from the east nor from the desert mountains.

7 But God is the judge; he puts clown one, and sets up another.

8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, full of a mixture of the dregs of wine; and he passes it from one to another; surely all the wicked of the earth shall drink the dregs thereof.

9 But I will live for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

2 Народ Иуды Бога познал, в Израиле почитают Его имя.

3 Храм Божий находится в Салиме, обитель Его стоит на горе Сион.

4 Там изломал Он луки и стрелы, сокрушил мечи со щитами и копья поломал. Селах

5 Господь во славе ступает по холмам, где уничтожил Он Своих врагов.

6 Надеялись они на свою силу, а сейчас безжизненные в полях лежат. Всего достояния они лишились, никто не смог защитить себя.

7 От гневного крика Твоего армии с колесницами и конями замертво упали.

8 Ты страшен, Господи, в гневе, никто перед Тобой не устоит.

9 Бог восстал во время суда и с небес Своё решение огласил, и в страхе вся земля застыла. Но Господь покорных уберёг.
