Psalm 75

1 UNTO thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks and call upon thy name.

2 We will declare all thy wondrous works; then the time will come when I will judge uprightly.

3 Then the earth and all the inhabitants thereof shall be humbled; thou hast ordained the people thereof.

4 Thou saidst to the fools, Deal not foolishly, and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn;

5 Lift not up your horn on high; speak not with a stiff neck.

6 For defence comes neither from the west nor from the east nor from the desert mountains.

7 But God is the judge; he puts clown one, and sets up another.

8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, full of a mixture of the dregs of wine; and he passes it from one to another; surely all the wicked of the earth shall drink the dregs thereof.

9 But I will live for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

2 Wir danken dir, GOtt, wir danken dir und verkündigen deine Wunder, daß dein Name so8199 nahe ist3947.

3 Denn zu seiner Zeit so werde ich recht8505 richten.

4 Das Land zittert und alle, die drinnen wohnen; aber ich559 halte seine Säulen fest. Sela.

5 Ich sprach1696 zu den Ruhmredigen: Rühmet nicht so! und zu den GOttlosen: Pochet nicht auf7311 Gewalt7161!

6 Pochet nicht so hoch auf7311 eure Gewalt, redet nicht halsstarrig,

7 es habe8199 keine Not, weder von Aufgang noch von Niedergang, noch von dem Gebirge in der Wüste.

8 Denn GOtt ist3027 Richter, der diesen niedriget und3068 jenen erhöhet.

9 Denn der HErr hat einen Becher in der Hand und430 mit starkem Wein voll eingeschenkt und3290 schenkt aus demselben; aber die5769 GOttlosen müssen alle trinken und die Hefen aussaufen.

10 Ich aber will verkündigen ewiglich und lobsingen dem GOtt Jakobs.
