Chapter 12

1 THE word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, you live in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see and see not; who have ears to hear and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.

3 Therefore, Son of man, prepare for yourself the things which are necessary for captivity, and go into the captivity by day in their sight; go from your own place to another place, so that they may see, because they are a rebellious house.

4 Then bring out your belongings by day in their sight, as though they were the necessary things for captivity; and you shall go forth in the evening like those who go forth into captivity.

5 Make a breach through the wall in their sight and go forth through it.

6 Take the luggage on your shoulder and go forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you may not see the ground; for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel.

7 And I did as he had commanded me: I brought forth my luggage by day as one who carries luggage into captivity, and in the evening I made a breach through the wall and went forth in the dark, carrying my luggage upon my shoulder in their sight.

8 And the word of the LORD came upon me in the morning, saying,

9 Son of man, if the children of the rebellious house of Israel should say to you, What are you doing?

10 Say to them, Thus says the LORD God: Even so shall the prince carry such luggage in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel with him.

11 Say to them, I am a sign to you; just as I have done, so shall it be done to you; you shall go into captivity.

12 And the leader who is among you shall carry his luggage upon his shoulder, and shall go forth in the dark, and shall make a breach through the wall and go out through it; he shall cover his face, that he may not see the ground.

13 And I will spread my net over him, and he shall be caught in it; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet he shall not see the land, and there shall he die.

14 And I will scatter towards every wind all that are about him to help him and give him strength; and I will draw out the sword after them.

15 And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them in the countries.

16 But I will spare a few men of them from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the Gentiles whither they go; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

17 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

18 Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fear of scarcity;

19 And say to the people of the land, Thus says the LORD God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and concerning the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fear of lack, and drink their water with terror, for the land shall be desolate from all that is therein, because of the iniquity of all those who dwell in it.

20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall become desolate; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

21 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

22 Son of man, what is that proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision shall fall?

23 Tell them therefore, Thus says the LORD God: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say to them, The days are at hand when every vision shall come true.

24 For there shall be no more any false vision nor doubtful divination among the children of Israel.

25 For I am the LORD; I have spoken, and the word which I speak I shall perform it; and I shall no more delay it; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, says the LORD God.

26 Again the word of the LORD came upon me, saying,

27 Son of man, behold, the children of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for the distant future, and he prophesies of the times that are far off.

28 Therefore say unto them, Thus says the LORD God: There shall none of my words be delayed any more, but the word which I have spoken I shall soon fulfil, says the LORD God.

1 Затем Господь обратился ко мне с такими словами:

2 «Сын человеческий, ты живёшь среди мятежных людей, которые всегда восстают против Меня. У них есть глаза, чтобы видеть всё, что Я сделал для них, но не видят они. У них есть уши, чтобы слышать всё, что Я им велел делать, но они не слышат Моих повелений, потому что они — мятежный народ.

3 Так что собери свои вещи и веди себя так, словно ты пленник и собираешься в изгнание в далёкие края. Пусть все люди видят, что ты делаешь, может быть, только тогда они поймут, что Я им говорил.

4 Вынеси днём свой мешок на улицу, чтобы тебя видели люди, а вечером сделай вид, что ты пленник и собираешься в изгнание в далёкую страну.

5 Пока они будут смотреть, проделай в стене дыру и выйди через неё.

6 Ночью возьми свой мешок на плечо и уходи. Покрой лицо своё так, чтобы ты не мог видеть, куда ты идёшь, но сделай так, чтобы люди видели тебя, потому что Я сделаю тебя примером для семьи Израиля».

7 Я, Иезекииль, повиновался приказу и сделал всё именно так, как мне было сказано. Днём я взял мешок и сделал вид, будто собирался в далёкую страну. Вечером я проделал в стене дыру, а ночью взял мешок и ушёл. Я делал всё так, чтобы все люди видели меня.

8 На следующее утро Господь сказал мне:

9 «Сын человеческий, спрашивал ли у тебя непокорный народ Израиля, что ты делаешь?

10 Скажи им, что так повелел Господь Всемогущий: „Это печальная весть для властителей Иерусалима и всех людей, живущих там.

11 Скажи им: „Я, Иезекииль, пример для вас, потому что всё, что я сделал, с вами случится: вы действительно уйдёте пленниками в далёкие страны.

12 Ваш царь проделает в стене дыру и тайком, под покровом ночи, убежит из города. Он спрячет своё лицо, чтобы люди его не узнали, а его глаза не будут видеть, куда он направляется.

13 Он попытается убежать, но Я поймаю его в Мои сети и приведу в Вавилон, в Халдейскую землю. Он не будет видеть, куда идёт, и там смерть его настигнет.

14 Я заставлю царских вождей жить в чужих странах, находящихся вокруг Израиля. Я разбросаю царскую армию по ветру, и враги будут преследовать её воинов.

15 Тогда эти люди поймут, что Я — Господь и что это Я рассеял их среди других народов. Они поймут, что именно Я заставил их отправиться в другие страны.

16 Но некоторых из них Я оставлю в живых, и они не умрут от болезней, голода или меча. Я оставлю их жить, чтобы они поведали другим людям обо всём ужасном, что сделали они против Меня, и тогда все поймут, что Я — Господь”».

17 Затем слово Господа снова пришло ко мне, в котором Он сказал:

18 «Сын человеческий, сделай вид, что ты очень напуган; со страхом и трепетом ешь и пей.

19 Ты должен сказать всем людям: „Господь Всемогущий говорит людям Иерусалима и всем, живущим в Израиле: „Вы будете в беспокойстве есть хлеб и пить воду, потому что всё в вашей стране будет уничтожено, так как люди, живущие в этой земле, очень свирепы.

20 Многие живут в городах, но эти города станут руинами, уничтожена будет вся ваша страна. И тогда вы поймёте, что Я — Господь”».

21 И вновь пришло ко мне слово Господнее. Он сказал:

22 «Сын человеческий, почему люди Израиля говорят такие слова: „Не сбудется пророческое видение, не скоро к нам придёт беда”?

23 Скажи людям, что Господь сотрёт эти слова из памяти и они больше не скажут их. С сегодняшнего дня они будут говорить: „Скоро беды придут, и видение непременно сбудется”.

24 Больше в Израиле не будет обманчивых видений и лживых колдунов, предвещающих то, чему никогда не сбыться.

25 Всего этого больше не будет, потому что Я, Господь, если повелю чему-нибудь случиться, то это обязательно произойдёт. Я медлить больше не стану и нашлю беды ещё при вашей жизни. Вы должны знать, непокорные люди, что, когда Я говорю, это непременно сбывается». Так сказал Господь Всемогущий.

26 Пришло ко мне слово Господа. Он сказал мне:

27 «Сын человеческий, люди Израиля думают, что эти видения относятся к далёкому будущему и что это случится по прошествии многих лет.

28 Поэтому скажи им так: „Господь Всемогущий им говорит: „Я не буду долго ждать, и если Я говорю, что это случится, то так этому и быть”». Так сказал Господь Всемогущий.

1 THE word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, you live in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see and see not; who have ears to hear and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.

2 «Сын человеческий, ты живёшь среди мятежных людей, которые всегда восстают против Меня. У них есть глаза, чтобы видеть всё, что Я сделал для них, но не видят они. У них есть уши, чтобы слышать всё, что Я им велел делать, но они не слышат Моих повелений, потому что они — мятежный народ.

3 Therefore, Son of man, prepare for yourself the things which are necessary for captivity, and go into the captivity by day in their sight; go from your own place to another place, so that they may see, because they are a rebellious house.

3 Так что собери свои вещи и веди себя так, словно ты пленник и собираешься в изгнание в далёкие края. Пусть все люди видят, что ты делаешь, может быть, только тогда они поймут, что Я им говорил.

4 Then bring out your belongings by day in their sight, as though they were the necessary things for captivity; and you shall go forth in the evening like those who go forth into captivity.

4 Вынеси днём свой мешок на улицу, чтобы тебя видели люди, а вечером сделай вид, что ты пленник и собираешься в изгнание в далёкую страну.

5 Make a breach through the wall in their sight and go forth through it.

5 Пока они будут смотреть, проделай в стене дыру и выйди через неё.

6 Take the luggage on your shoulder and go forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you may not see the ground; for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel.

6 Ночью возьми свой мешок на плечо и уходи. Покрой лицо своё так, чтобы ты не мог видеть, куда ты идёшь, но сделай так, чтобы люди видели тебя, потому что Я сделаю тебя примером для семьи Израиля».

7 And I did as he had commanded me: I brought forth my luggage by day as one who carries luggage into captivity, and in the evening I made a breach through the wall and went forth in the dark, carrying my luggage upon my shoulder in their sight.

7 Я, Иезекииль, повиновался приказу и сделал всё именно так, как мне было сказано. Днём я взял мешок и сделал вид, будто собирался в далёкую страну. Вечером я проделал в стене дыру, а ночью взял мешок и ушёл. Я делал всё так, чтобы все люди видели меня.

8 And the word of the LORD came upon me in the morning, saying,

8 На следующее утро Господь сказал мне:

9 Son of man, if the children of the rebellious house of Israel should say to you, What are you doing?

9 «Сын человеческий, спрашивал ли у тебя непокорный народ Израиля, что ты делаешь?

10 Say to them, Thus says the LORD God: Even so shall the prince carry such luggage in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel with him.

10 Скажи им, что так повелел Господь Всемогущий: „Это печальная весть для властителей Иерусалима и всех людей, живущих там.

11 Say to them, I am a sign to you; just as I have done, so shall it be done to you; you shall go into captivity.

11 Скажи им: „Я, Иезекииль, пример для вас, потому что всё, что я сделал, с вами случится: вы действительно уйдёте пленниками в далёкие страны.

12 And the leader who is among you shall carry his luggage upon his shoulder, and shall go forth in the dark, and shall make a breach through the wall and go out through it; he shall cover his face, that he may not see the ground.

12 Ваш царь проделает в стене дыру и тайком, под покровом ночи, убежит из города. Он спрячет своё лицо, чтобы люди его не узнали, а его глаза не будут видеть, куда он направляется.

13 And I will spread my net over him, and he shall be caught in it; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet he shall not see the land, and there shall he die.

13 Он попытается убежать, но Я поймаю его в Мои сети и приведу в Вавилон, в Халдейскую землю. Он не будет видеть, куда идёт, и там смерть его настигнет.

14 Я заставлю царских вождей жить в чужих странах, находящихся вокруг Израиля. Я разбросаю царскую армию по ветру, и враги будут преследовать её воинов.

15 And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them in the countries.

15 Тогда эти люди поймут, что Я — Господь и что это Я рассеял их среди других народов. Они поймут, что именно Я заставил их отправиться в другие страны.

17 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

17 Затем слово Господа снова пришло ко мне, в котором Он сказал:

18 «Сын человеческий, сделай вид, что ты очень напуган; со страхом и трепетом ешь и пей.

19 Ты должен сказать всем людям: „Господь Всемогущий говорит людям Иерусалима и всем, живущим в Израиле: „Вы будете в беспокойстве есть хлеб и пить воду, потому что всё в вашей стране будет уничтожено, так как люди, живущие в этой земле, очень свирепы.

20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall become desolate; and you shall know that I am the LORD.

20 Многие живут в городах, но эти города станут руинами, уничтожена будет вся ваша страна. И тогда вы поймёте, что Я — Господь”».

21 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

21 И вновь пришло ко мне слово Господнее. Он сказал:

22 Son of man, what is that proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision shall fall?

22 «Сын человеческий, почему люди Израиля говорят такие слова: „Не сбудется пророческое видение, не скоро к нам придёт беда”?

23 Скажи людям, что Господь сотрёт эти слова из памяти и они больше не скажут их. С сегодняшнего дня они будут говорить: „Скоро беды придут, и видение непременно сбудется”.

25 Всего этого больше не будет, потому что Я, Господь, если повелю чему-нибудь случиться, то это обязательно произойдёт. Я медлить больше не стану и нашлю беды ещё при вашей жизни. Вы должны знать, непокорные люди, что, когда Я говорю, это непременно сбывается». Так сказал Господь Всемогущий.

26 Again the word of the LORD came upon me, saying,

26 Пришло ко мне слово Господа. Он сказал мне:

27 Son of man, behold, the children of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for the distant future, and he prophesies of the times that are far off.

27 «Сын человеческий, люди Израиля думают, что эти видения относятся к далёкому будущему и что это случится по прошествии многих лет.

28 Поэтому скажи им так: „Господь Всемогущий им говорит: „Я не буду долго ждать, и если Я говорю, что это случится, то так этому и быть”». Так сказал Господь Всемогущий.
