Глава 17

1 Затем народ Израиля двинулся из пустыни Син, переходя с места на место, как повелел Господь. Люди расположились станом в Рефидиме, но там не было питьевой воды.

2 Тогда народ восстал против Моисея и стал укорять его: «Дай нам воды!» «Почему вы восстали против меня? — спросил Моисей. — Почему испытываете Господа?»

3 Но людей мучила жажда, и они продолжали роптать на Моисея: «Зачем ты вывел нас из Египта? Зачем привёл нас сюда, чтобы мы вместе с нашими детьми и скотом погибли без воды?»

4 И воскликнул Моисей, обращаясь к Господу: «Что мне делать с этим народом? Ещё немного и они забьют меня насмерть камнями!»

5 «Пройди перед народом, — сказал Господь Моисею, — и возьми с собой некоторых из старейшин. Принеси с собой свой дорожный посох, тот самый, которым ударил по воде реки Нил.

6 Я встану перед тобой на скале в Хориве. Ударь по скале дорожным посохом, и из неё потечёт вода, и тогда люди смогут напиться». Моисей так и сделал, и израильские старейшины это видели.

7 Он назвал это место Мерива и Масса, потому что на этом месте израильский народ восстал против Господа и испытывал Его, желая знать, с ними Господь или нет.

8 В Рефидим пришли амаликитяне и стали воевать с народом Израиля.

9 И сказал Моисей Иисусу, сыну Навина: «Собери народ и завтра иди сражаться с амаликитянами. Я же встану на вершине холма и буду наблюдать за вами, держа дорожный посох, который дал мне Бог».

10 Иисус сделал так, как велел ему Моисей, и на следующий день пошёл воевать с амаликитянами, а Моисей, Аарон и Хур поднялись на вершину холма,

11 и каждый раз, когда Моисей поднимал руки к небу, израильский народ брал верх в сражении, когда же он опускал их, израильский народ терпел поражение.

12 Через некоторое время руки у Моисея устали, тогда Аарон и Хур взяли камень и подложили под него. Моисей сел на камень, Аарон сел с одной стороны, а Хур — с другой стороны и стали поддерживать руки Моисея. Его руки были подняты до самого захода солнца.

13 Иисус победил амаликитян в этом сражении.

14 Тогда Господь сказал Моисею: «Опиши это сражение, напиши обо всём этом в книге, чтобы люди помнили о случившемся здесь, и обязательно скажи Иисусу, что Я смету амаликитян с лица земли».

15 Тогда Моисей построил алтарь и назвал его «Господь — Знамя Моё»,

16 сказав: «Я воздел руки к престолу Господнему, и Господь, как всегда, сразился с амаликитянами».

2 Wherefore the people5971 did chide7378 with5973 Moses,4872 and said,559 Give5414 us water4325 that we may drink.8354 And Moses4872 said559 unto them, Why4100 chide7378 ye with5978 me? wherefore4100 do ye tempt5254 853 the LORD?3068

3 And the people5971 thirsted6770 there8033 for water;4325 and the people5971 murmured3885 against5921 Moses,4872 and said,559 Wherefore4100 is this2088 that thou hast brought us up5927 out of Egypt,4480 4714 to kill4191 us and our children1121 and our cattle4735 with thirst?6772

4 And Moses4872 cried6817 unto413 the LORD,3068 saying,559 What4100 shall I do6213 unto this2088 people?5971 they be almost4592 ready5750 to stone5619 me.

5 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Go on5674 before6440 the people,5971 and take3947 with854 thee of the elders4480 2205 of Israel;3478 and thy rod,4294 wherewith834 thou smotest5221 853 the river,2975 take3947 in thine hand,3027 and go.1980

6 Behold,2009 I will stand5975 before6440 thee there8033 upon5921 the rock6697 in Horeb;2722 and thou shalt smite5221 the rock,6697 and there shall come3318 water4325 out of4480 it, that the people5971 may drink.8354 And Moses4872 did6213 so3651 in the sight5869 of the elders2205 of Israel.3478

7 And he called7121 the name8034 of the place4725 Massah,4532 and Meribah,4809 because of5921 the chiding7379 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 and because5921 they tempted5254 853 the LORD,3068 saying,559 Is3426 the LORD3068 among7130 us, or518 not?369

8 Then came935 Amalek,6002 and fought3898 with5973 Israel3478 in Rephidim.7508

9 And Moses4872 said559 unto413 Joshua,3091 Choose us out977 men,376 and go out,3318 fight3898 with Amalek:6002 tomorrow4279 I595 will stand5324 on5921 the top7218 of the hill1389 with the rod4294 of God430 in mine hand.3027

10 So Joshua3091 did6213 as834 Moses4872 had said559 to him, and fought3898 with Amalek:6002 and Moses,4872 Aaron,175 and Hur2354 went up5927 to the top7218 of the hill.1389

11 And it came to pass,1961 when834 Moses4872 held up7311 his hand,3027 that Israel3478 prevailed:1396 and when834 he let down5117 his hand,3027 Amalek6002 prevailed.1396

12 But Moses'4872 hands3027 were heavy;3515 and they took3947 a stone,68 and put7760 it under8478 him, and he sat3427 thereon;5921 and Aaron175 and Hur2354 stayed up8551 his hands,3027 the one259 on the one side,4480 2088 and the other259 on the other side;4480 2088 and his hands3027 were1961 steady530 until5704 the going down935 of the sun.8121

13 And Joshua3091 discomfited2522 853 Amalek6002 and his people5971 with the edge6310 of the sword.2719

14 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Write3789 this2063 for a memorial2146 in a book,5612 and rehearse7760 it in the ears241 of Joshua:3091 for3588 I will utterly put out4229 4229 853 the remembrance2143 of Amalek6002 from under4480 8478 heaven.8064

15 And Moses4872 built1129 an altar,4196 and called7121 the name8034 of it Jehovah-nissi: 3071

16 For he said,559 Because3588 the LORD3050 hath sworn3027 5921 3676 that the LORD3068 will have war4421 with Amalek6002 from generation4480 1755 to generation.1755

3 Но людей мучила жажда, и они продолжали роптать на Моисея: «Зачем ты вывел нас из Египта? Зачем привёл нас сюда, чтобы мы вместе с нашими детьми и скотом погибли без воды?»

5 «Пройди перед народом, — сказал Господь Моисею, — и возьми с собой некоторых из старейшин. Принеси с собой свой дорожный посох, тот самый, которым ударил по воде реки Нил.

5 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 Moses,4872 Go on5674 before6440 the people,5971 and take3947 with854 thee of the elders4480 2205 of Israel;3478 and thy rod,4294 wherewith834 thou smotest5221 853 the river,2975 take3947 in thine hand,3027 and go.1980

6 Я встану перед тобой на скале в Хориве. Ударь по скале дорожным посохом, и из неё потечёт вода, и тогда люди смогут напиться». Моисей так и сделал, и израильские старейшины это видели.

10 Иисус сделал так, как велел ему Моисей, и на следующий день пошёл воевать с амаликитянами, а Моисей, Аарон и Хур поднялись на вершину холма,

10 So Joshua3091 did6213 as834 Moses4872 had said559 to him, and fought3898 with Amalek:6002 and Moses,4872 Aaron,175 and Hur2354 went up5927 to the top7218 of the hill.1389
