Глава 39

1 Тогда же вавилонский царь Меродах-Баладан, сын Баладана, услышав о том, что Езекия был болен, но выздоровел, отправил ему письмо и подарки через своих послов.

2 Езекия с радостью принял их и показал им свою сокровищницу: серебро свое и золото, благовония и драгоценные умащения и все орудия оружейной палаты — словом, всё, что было в его хранилищах. Во всем дворце и царских владениях Езекии не осталось ничего такого, чего бы не показал он послам.

3 Пришел тогда к царю Езекии пророк Исайя и спросил: «Что говорили эти люди, и откуда пришли они к тебе?» Езекия ответил: «Из далекой страны, из Вавилонии, приходили они».

4 Исайя спросил: «А что они видели в твоем дворце?» На это Езекия ответил: «Всё, что только есть в моем дворце! Я показал им все свои сокровища, какие только мог показать».

5 Тогда Исайя сказал Езекии: «Выслушай слово ГОСПОДА Воинств!

6 Близятся дни, когда всё, что только есть в твоем дворце и что накопили предки твои, всё заберут в Вавилон, ничего здесь не останется! Это говорит ГОСПОДЬ.

7 А потомков твоих, рожденных от тебя, заберут и сделают евнухами для дворца царя вавилонского».

8 На это Езекия ответил Исайе: «Благое слово передал ты мне от ГОСПОДА!» И про себя сказал: «По крайней мере, пока я жив, будет мир и спокойствие».

1 At that1931 time6256 Merodach-baladan,4757 the son1121 of Baladan,1081 king4428 of Babylon,894 sent7971 letters5612 and a present4503 to413 Hezekiah:2396 for he had heard8085 that3588 he had been sick,2470 and was recovered.2388

2 And Hezekiah2396 was glad8055 of5921 them, and showed7200 them853 the house1004 of his precious things,5238 853 the silver,3701 and the gold,2091 and the spices,1314 and the precious2896 ointment,8081 and all3605 the house1004 of his armor,3627 and all3605 that834 was found4672 in his treasures:214 there was1961 nothing3808 1697 in his house,1004 nor in all3605 his dominion,4475 that834 Hezekiah2396 showed7200 them not.3808

3 Then came935 Isaiah3470 the prophet5030 unto413 king4428 Hezekiah,2396 and said559 unto413 him, What4100 said559 these428 men?376 and from whence4480 370 came935 they unto413 thee? And Hezekiah2396 said,559 They are come935 from a far7350 country4480 776 unto413 me, even from Babylon.4480 894

4 Then said559 he, What4100 have they seen7200 in thine house?1004 And Hezekiah2396 answered,559 853 All3605 that834 is in mine house1004 have they seen:7200 there is1961 nothing3808 1697 among my treasures214 that834 I have not3808 showed7200 them.

5 Then said559 Isaiah3470 to413 Hezekiah,2396 Hear8085 the word1697 of the LORD3068 of hosts: 6635

6 Behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 that all3605 that834 is in thine house,1004 and that which834 thy fathers1 have laid up in store686 until5704 this2088 day,3117 shall be carried5375 to Babylon:894 nothing3808 1697 shall be left,3498 saith559 the LORD.3068

7 And of thy sons4480 1121 that834 shall issue3318 from4480 thee, which834 thou shalt beget,3205 shall they take away;3947 and they shall be1961 eunuchs5631 in the palace1964 of the king4428 of Babylon.894

8 Then said559 Hezekiah2396 to413 Isaiah,3470 Good2896 is the word1697 of the LORD3068 which834 thou hast spoken.1696 He said559 moreover, For3588 there shall be1961 peace7965 and truth571 in my days.3117

4 Исайя спросил: «А что они видели в твоем дворце?» На это Езекия ответил: «Всё, что только есть в моем дворце! Я показал им все свои сокровища, какие только мог показать».
