Psalm 111

1 PRAISE the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

2 The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

3 His works are great and glorious, and his righteousness endures for ever.

4 He has made his wonderful works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

5 He has given food to them that revere him; he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

6 He has shown his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the Gentiles.

7 The works of his hands are truth and justice, and they endure for ever and ever.

8 All his commandments are sure, and are done in righteousness and truth.

9 He has sent salvation to his people; his covenant shall be remembered for ever; holy and revered is his name.

10 The reverence of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do his commandments; his praise endures for ever.

1 Аллилуйя! Блажен тот, кто пред ГОСПОДОМ благоговеет, кто глубоко предан заповедям Его.

2 Потомки его будут сильными на земле, благословенным поколением людей честных.

3 Благоденствие и богатство в доме его, и праведность его неизменной вовек пребудет.

4 Свет и во тьме сияет для человека честного, он добр, праведен и сострадания полон.

5 Благо тому, кто щедр и охотно взаймы дает и честно ведет все дела свои.

6 Никогда не споткнется он, память о праведнике вовеки пребудет.

7 Не устрашится он вести худой, спокойно сердце его — ГОСПОДУ он доверился.

8 Уверенность его неколебима, страхов нет у него: знает он, что восторжествует над врагами своими.

9 Щедро нуждающихся он одаряет, праведность его неизменной вовек пребудет, высоко будет уважение к нему.

10 Видя всё это, нечестивые с досадой скрежещут зубами и чахнут от злости своей. Тщетными останутся все желания нечестивых.
