Chapter 30

1 AND it shall come to pass, when all these are come upon you, the blessings and the curses which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God has driven you,

2 And shall return to the LORD your God and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul;

3 Then the LORD your God will bring back again your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will return and gather you from all the nations where the LORD your God has driven you.

4 If your scattered ones are in the outmost parts of heaven, O Israel, from thence will the LORD your God gather you, and from thence will he fetch you;

5 And the LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and multiply you more than your fathers.

6 And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, and then you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, because he will give you rest.

7 And the LORD your God will put all these curses upon your enemies, and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.

8 And you shall return and obey the voice of the LORD your God, and do all his commandments which I command you this day.

9 And the LORD your God will make you plenteous in every work of your hand, in the fruit of your body and in the bearing of your cattle and in the fruit of your land, for good; for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers;

10 If you will obey the voice of the LORD your God, and keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

11 For this commandment which I command you this day is not hidden from you, neither is it far off.

12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?

13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?

14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

15 See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and misfortunes;

16 In that I command you this day to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments; then you shall live; and multiply exceedingly; and the LORD your God shall bless you in the land which you are entering to possess.

17 But if your heart turns away, so that you will not hear, but shall go astray, and worship other gods and serve them;

18 I declare to you this day that you shall surely perish, and that you shall not live long in the land which you are crossing over the Jordan to possess.

19 I call heaven and earth to bear witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessings and cursings; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

20 That you may love the LORD your God, and that you may obey his voice, and that you may cleave to him; for he is your life and the length of your days; that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to you.

2 und bekehrest dich7725 zu8085 dem HErrn3068, deinem GOtt430, daß du seiner Stimme6963 gehorchest, du und deine Kinder1121, von ganzem Herzen3824 und von ganzer See LE5315 in allem, das ich dir heute3117 gebiete6680,

3 so wird der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, dein Gefängnis7622 wenden und sich7355 deiner erbarmen und wird dich7725 wieder7725 versammeln6908 aus6327 allen Völkern5971, dahin dich der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, verstreuet hat.

4 Wenn du bis an der Himmel8064 Ende7097 verstoßen5080 wärest, so wird3947 dich doch der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, von dannen sammeln6908 und dich von dannen holen;

5 und3068 wird dich in das Land776 bringen, das deine Väter1 besessen haben3423, und430 wirst es einnehmen3423, und wird dir3190 Gutes tun935 und dich mehren7235 über deine Väter1.

6 Und der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, wird dein Herz3824 beschneiden4135 und das Herz3824 deines Samens2233, daß du den HErrn3068, deinen GOtt430, liebest von ganzem Herzen3824 und von ganzer See LE5315, auf daß du leben2416 mögest.

7 Aber diese Flüche423 wird der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, alle auf deine Feinde341 legen5414 und auf die, die dich hassen8130 und verfolgen7291.

8 Du8085 aber wirst dich7725 bekehren und der Stimme6963 des HErrn3068 gehorchen, daß du tust6213 alle seine Gebote4687, die ich dir heute3117 gebiete6680.

9 Und der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, wird dir Glück geben3498 in allen Werken4639 deiner Hände3027, an der Frucht6529 deines Leibes990, an der Frucht6529 deines Viehes929, an der Frucht6529 deines Landes127, daß dir‘s zu gut2896 komme. Denn der HErr3068 wird sich7725 wenden, daß er sich über dir freue7797, dir zu gut2896, wie er sich über deinen Vätern1 gefreuet hat,

10 darum daß du der Stimme6963 des HErrn3068, deines Gottes430; gehorchest, zu8085 halten8104 seine Gebote4687 und Rechte2708, die geschrieben stehen3789 im Buch5612 dieses Gesetzes8451, so du dich7725 wirst bekehren zu dem HErrn3068, deinem GOtt430, von ganzem Herzen3824 und von ganzer See LE5315.

11 Denn das Gebot4687, das ich dir heute3117 gebiete6680, ist dir nicht verborgen6381, noch zu ferne7350,

12 noch im Himmel8064, daß du möchtest sagen559: Wer will uns8085 in den Himmel8064 fahren und6213 uns holen, daß wir‘s3947 hören und tun5927?

13 Es ist3947 auch nicht jenseit5676 des Meers3220, daß du möchtest sagen559: Wer will uns8085 über5674 das Meer3220 fahren und uns holen, daß wir‘s hören und tun6213?

14 Denn es ist3966 das Wort1697 fast nahe bei7138 dir in deinem Munde6310 und in deinem Herzen3824, daß du es tust6213.

15 Siehe7200, ich habe5414 dir6440 heute3117 vorgelegt das Leben2416 und das Gute2896, den Tod4194 und das Böse7451;

16 der ich dir heute3117 gebiete6680, daß du1288 den HErrn3068, deinen GOtt430, liebest und935 wandelst3212 in seinen Wegen1870, und seine Gebote4687, Gesetze und Rechte2708 haltest und leben2421 mögest und gemehret werdest7235, daß dich8104 der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, segne im Lande776, da du einzeuchst, dasselbe einzunehmen3423.

7 And the LORD your God will put all these curses upon your enemies, and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.
