3 These428 are the names8034 of the sons1121 of Aaron,175 the priests3548 which were anointed,4886 whom834 he consecrated3027 to minister in the priest's3547 office.

4 And Nadab5070 and Abihu30 died4191 before6440 the LORD,3068 when they offered7126 strange2114 fire784 before6440 the LORD,3068 in the wilderness4057 of Sinai,5514 and they had1961 no3808 children:1121 and Eleazar499 and Ithamar385 ministered in the priest's3547 office in the sight6440 of Aaron175 their father.1

5 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

6 Bring7126 the tribe4294 of Levi3878 near,7138 and present5975 them before6440 Aaron175 the priest,3548 that they may minister8334 to him.

7 And they shall keep8104 his charge,4931 and the charge4931 of the whole3605 congregation5712 before6440 the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 to do5647 the service5656 of the tabernacle.4908

9 And you shall give5414 the Levites3881 to Aaron175 and to his sons:1121 they are wholly given5414 to him out of the children1121 of Israel.3478

10 And you shall appoint6485 Aaron175 and his sons,1121 and they shall wait8104 on their priest's3550 office: and the stranger2114 that comes7131 near7126 shall be put to death.4191

11 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

12 And I, behold,2009 I have taken3947 the Levites3881 from among8432 the children1121 of Israel3478 instead8478 of all3605 the firstborn1060 that opens6363 the matrix7358 among the children1121 of Israel:3478 therefore the Levites3881 shall be mine;

17 And these428 were the sons1121 of Levi3878 by their names;8034 Gershon,1647 and Kohath,6955 and Merari.4847

18 And these428 are the names8034 of the sons1121 of Gershon1647 by their families;4940 Libni,3845 and Shimei.8096

19 And the sons1121 of Kohath6955 by their families;4940 Amram,6019 and Izehar,3324 Hebron,2275 and Uzziel.5816

20 And the sons1121 of Merari4847 by their families;4940 Mahli,4249 and Mushi.4187 These428 are the families4940 of the Levites3881 according to the house1004 of their fathers.1

21 Of Gershon1647 was the family4940 of the Libnites,3864 and the family4940 of the Shimites:8097 these428 are the families4940 of the Gershonites.1649

22 Those that were numbered6485 of them, according to the number4557 of all3605 the males,2145 from a month2320 old1121 and upward,4605 even those that were numbered6485 of them were seven7651 thousand505 and five2568 hundred.3967

23 The families4940 of the Gershonites1649 shall pitch2583 behind310 the tabernacle4908 westward.3220

24 And the chief5387 of the house1004 of the father1 of the Gershonites1649 shall be Eliasaph460 the son1121 of Lael.3815

25 And the charge4931 of the sons1121 of Gershon1647 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150 shall be the tabernacle,4908 and the tent,168 the covering4372 thereof, and the hanging4539 for the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150

26 And the hangings7050 of the court,2691 and the curtain4539 for the door6607 of the court,2691 which834 is by the tabernacle,4908 and by the altar4196 round5439 about, and the cords4340 of it for all3605 the service5656 thereof.

27 And of Kohath6955 was the family4940 of the Amramites,6020 and the family4940 of the Izeharites,3325 and the family4940 of the Hebronites,2276 and the family4940 of the Uzzielites:5817 these428 are the families4940 of the Kohathites.6956

28 In the number4557 of all3605 the males,2145 from a month2320 old1121 and upward,4605 were eight8083 thousand505 and six8337 hundred,3967 keeping8104 the charge4931 of the sanctuary.6944

29 The families4940 of the sons1121 of Kohath6955 shall pitch2583 on5921 the side3409 of the tabernacle4908 southward.8486

30 And the chief5387 of the house1004 of the father1 of the families4940 of the Kohathites6956 shall be Elizaphan469 the son1121 of Uzziel.5816

31 And their charge4931 shall be the ark,727 and the table,7979 and the candlestick,4501 and the altars,4196 and the vessels3627 of the sanctuary6944 with which834 they minister,8334 and the hanging,4539 and all3605 the service5656 thereof.

32 And Eleazar499 the son1121 of Aaron175 the priest3548 shall be chief5387 over the chief5387 of the Levites,3881 and have the oversight6486 of them that keep8104 the charge4931 of the sanctuary.6944

33 Of Merari4847 was the family4940 of the Mahlites,4250 and the family4940 of the Mushites:4188 these428 are the families4940 of Merari.4847

34 And those that were numbered6485 of them, according to the number4557 of all3605 the males,2145 from a month2320 old1121 and upward,4605 were six8337 thousand505 and two hundred.3967

35 And the chief5387 of the house1004 of the father1 of the families4940 of Merari4847 was Zuriel6700 the son1121 of Abihail:32 these shall pitch2583 on5921 the side3409 of the tabernacle4908 northward.6828

36 And under the custody6486 and charge4931 of the sons1121 of Merari4847 shall be the boards7175 of the tabernacle,4908 and the bars1280 thereof, and the pillars5982 thereof, and the sockets134 thereof, and all3605 the vessels3627 thereof, and all3605 that serves5656 thereto,

37 And the pillars5982 of the court2691 round5439 about, and their sockets,134 and their pins,3489 and their cords.4340

38 But those that encamp2583 before6440 the tabernacle4908 toward the east,6924 even before6440 the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150 eastward,4217 shall be Moses,4872 and Aaron175 and his sons,1121 keeping8104 the charge4931 of the sanctuary4720 for the charge4931 of the children1121 of Israel;3478 and the stranger2114 that comes7131 near7126 shall be put to death.4191

39 All3605 that were numbered6485 of the Levites,3881 which834 Moses4872 and Aaron175 numbered6485 at5921 the commandment6310 of the LORD,3068 throughout their families,4940 all3605 the males2145 from a month2320 old1121 and upward,4605 were twenty6242 and two8147 thousand.505

40 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Number6485 all3605 the firstborn1060 of the males2145 of the children1121 of Israel3478 from a month2320 old1121 and upward,4605 and take5375 the number4557 of their names.8034

41 And you shall take3947 the Levites3881 for me (I am the LORD)3068 instead8478 of all3605 the firstborn1060 among the children1121 of Israel;3478 and the cattle929 of the Levites3881 instead8478 of all3605 the firstborn1060 among the cattle929 of the children1121 of Israel.3478

42 And Moses4872 numbered,6485 as the LORD3068 commanded6680 him, all3605 the firstborn1060 among the children1121 of Israel.3478

43 And all3605 the firstborn1060 males2145 by the number4557 of names,8034 from a month2320 old1121 and upward,4605 of those that were numbered6485 of them, were twenty6242 and two8147 thousand505 two hundred3967 and three score7657 and thirteen.7969

44 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

45 Take3947 the Levites3881 instead8478 of all3605 the firstborn1060 among the children1121 of Israel,3478 and the cattle929 of the Levites3881 instead8478 of their cattle;929 and the Levites3881 shall be mine: I am the LORD.3068

46 And for those that are to be redeemed6302 of the two hundred3967 and three score7657 and thirteen7969 of the firstborn1060 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 which are more5736 than5921 the Levites;3881

47 You shall even take3947 five2568 shekels8255 apiece by the poll,1538 after the shekel8255 of the sanctuary6944 shall you take3947 them: (the shekel8255 is twenty6242 gerahs:1626)

48 And you shall give5414 the money,3701 with which the odd5736 number5736 of them is to be redeemed,6302 to Aaron175 and to his sons.1121

49 And Moses4872 took3947 the redemption6306 money3701 of them that were over5736 and above5921 them that were redeemed6306 by the Levites:3881

50 Of the firstborn1060 of the children1121 of Israel3478 took3947 he the money;3701 a thousand505 three7969 hundred3967 and three score8346 and five2568 shekels, after the shekel8255 of the sanctuary:6944

51 And Moses4872 gave5414 the money3701 of them that were redeemed6306 to Aaron175 and to his sons,1121 according5921 to the word6310 of the LORD,3068 as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses.4872

11 І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

12 „А Я оце взяв Левитів з-посеред Ізраїлевих синів замість кожного перворідного, що розкривають утро́бу, з Ізраїлевих синів. І будуть Леви́ти Мої,

13 бо Мій кожен перворідний. Того дня, коли Я був ударив кожного перворідного в єгипетськім кра́ї, Я посвятив Собі кожного перворідного в Ізраїлі від люди́ни аж до скотини, — Мої вони будуть. Я — Господь!“

14 І Господь промовляв до Мойсея в Сінайській пустині, говорячи:

15 „Перелічи Левієвих синів за дома́ми їхніх батьків, за ро́дами їхніми, кожного чоловічої статі від місячного віку й вище перелічиш їх“.

16 І Мойсей перелічив їх за Господнім словом, як йому наказано.

17 І були за йменнями своїми оці Левієві сини: Ґершон, і Кегат, і Мерарі.

18 А оце імена́ Ґершоно́вих синів за їхніми родами: Лівні та Шім'ї.

19 А сини Кега́тові за їхніми родами: Амрам і Їцгар, Хеврон і Уззіїл.

20 А сини Мерарі за їхніми родами: Махлі та Муші. Оце вони, роди Левієві, за домами своїх батьків.

26 і запони подвір'я, і засло́на входу подві́р'я, що на скинії та на же́ртівнику навко́ло, і шнури її — до всієї служби його.

27 А від Кегата: рід Амрамових, і рід Іцхарових, і рід Хевронових, і рід Оззіїлових, — оце вони, роди Кегатових.

28 Числом кожного чоловічої статі від місячного віку й вище, — вісім тисяч і шістсо́т, що пильнували сторо́жу святині.

29 Роди Кегатових синів ота́боряться на подовжньому боці скинії на пі́вдень.

30 А начальник ба́тькового дому родів Кегатових Еліцафан, син Уззіїлів.

31 А їхній догляд: ковче́г, і стіл, і свічник, і жертівники, і святі речі, що служать ними, і завіса, — і вся служба при тому.

32 А начальник Левієвих начальників — Елеазар, син священика Ааро́на, що мав догляд над тими, хто пильнує сторо́жу святині.

38 А ті, що таборують спе́реду перед скинією, перед скинією заповіту на схід, Мойсей й Ааро́н та сини його, — вони виконують сторо́жу святині, сторожу за Ізраїлевих синів. А чужий, хто набли́зиться, — буде забитий.

39 Усі перелічені Леви́тів, що перелічив Мойсей та Ааро́н на Господній нака́з за їхніми родами, кожен чоловічої статі від місячного віку й вище, — двадцять і дві тисячі.

40 І сказав Господь до Мойсея: „Перелічи всіх перворідних чоловічої статі Ізраїлевих синів від місячного віку й вище, і перелічи число імен їх.

41 І візьми для Мене Леви́тів — Я — Госпо́дь! — замість кожного перворідного Ізраїлевих синів, а худобу Левитів — замість кожного перворідного серед худоби Ізраїлевих синів“.

42 І перелічив Мойсей, як Господь наказав був йому, усіх перворідних серед Ізраїлевих синів.

43 І було всіх перворідних чоловічої статі числом імен від місячного віку й вище, за їхніми переліченими — двадцять і дві тисячі двісті і сімдесят і три.

44 І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

45 „Візьми Леви́тів замість кожного перворідного серед Ізраїлевих синів, а худобу Леви́тів — замість їхньої худоби, і будуть Левити Мої. Я — Господь!

46 А на о́куп тих двохсо́т і семидесяти́ і трьох, що позостали понад Левитами з перворідного Ізраїлевих синів,

47 то візьми по п'яти шеклів на го́лову, на міру шеклем святині ві́зьмеш, — двадцять ґер шекель,

48 і даси ті гроші Ааронові та синам його, як о́куп за позосталих серед них“.

49 І взяв Мойсей гроші окупу від позосталих понад ви́куплених Левитами,

29 Роди Кегатових синів ота́боряться на подовжньому боці скинії на пі́вдень.

30 А начальник ба́тькового дому родів Кегатових Еліцафан, син Уззіїлів.

31 And their charge4931 shall be the ark,727 and the table,7979 and the candlestick,4501 and the altars,4196 and the vessels3627 of the sanctuary6944 with which834 they minister,8334 and the hanging,4539 and all3605 the service5656 thereof.

31 А їхній догляд: ковче́г, і стіл, і свічник, і жертівники, і святі речі, що служать ними, і завіса, — і вся служба при тому.

32 And Eleazar499 the son1121 of Aaron175 the priest3548 shall be chief5387 over the chief5387 of the Levites,3881 and have the oversight6486 of them that keep8104 the charge4931 of the sanctuary.6944

35 А начальник ба́тьківського дому Мерарієвих родів — Цуріїл, син Авіхаїлів. Вони ота́боряться на подовжнім боці скинії на пі́вніч.

36 А догляд сторо́жі Мерарієвих синів: дошки скинії, і засо́ви її, і стовпи́ її, і підста́ви її, і всі речі її, — і вся служба її,

37 And the pillars5982 of the court2691 round5439 about, and their sockets,134 and their pins,3489 and their cords.4340

37 і стовпи́ подві́р'я навко́ло, і їхні підстави, і кілки́ їхні, і їхні шну́ри.

38 А ті, що таборують спе́реду перед скинією, перед скинією заповіту на схід, Мойсей й Ааро́н та сини його, — вони виконують сторо́жу святині, сторожу за Ізраїлевих синів. А чужий, хто набли́зиться, — буде забитий.

39 All3605 that were numbered6485 of the Levites,3881 which834 Moses4872 and Aaron175 numbered6485 at5921 the commandment6310 of the LORD,3068 throughout their families,4940 all3605 the males2145 from a month2320 old1121 and upward,4605 were twenty6242 and two8147 thousand.505

39 Усі перелічені Леви́тів, що перелічив Мойсей та Ааро́н на Господній нака́з за їхніми родами, кожен чоловічої статі від місячного віку й вище, — двадцять і дві тисячі.

40 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Number6485 all3605 the firstborn1060 of the males2145 of the children1121 of Israel3478 from a month2320 old1121 and upward,4605 and take5375 the number4557 of their names.8034

40 І сказав Господь до Мойсея: „Перелічи всіх перворідних чоловічої статі Ізраїлевих синів від місячного віку й вище, і перелічи число імен їх.

41 And you shall take3947 the Levites3881 for me (I am the LORD)3068 instead8478 of all3605 the firstborn1060 among the children1121 of Israel;3478 and the cattle929 of the Levites3881 instead8478 of all3605 the firstborn1060 among the cattle929 of the children1121 of Israel.3478

41 І візьми для Мене Леви́тів — Я — Госпо́дь! — замість кожного перворідного Ізраїлевих синів, а худобу Левитів — замість кожного перворідного серед худоби Ізраїлевих синів“.

42 And Moses4872 numbered,6485 as the LORD3068 commanded6680 him, all3605 the firstborn1060 among the children1121 of Israel.3478

42 І перелічив Мойсей, як Господь наказав був йому, усіх перворідних серед Ізраїлевих синів.

43 І було всіх перворідних чоловічої статі числом імен від місячного віку й вище, за їхніми переліченими — двадцять і дві тисячі двісті і сімдесят і три.

44 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

44 І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:

45 Take3947 the Levites3881 instead8478 of all3605 the firstborn1060 among the children1121 of Israel,3478 and the cattle929 of the Levites3881 instead8478 of their cattle;929 and the Levites3881 shall be mine: I am the LORD.3068

45 „Візьми Леви́тів замість кожного перворідного серед Ізраїлевих синів, а худобу Леви́тів — замість їхньої худоби, і будуть Левити Мої. Я — Господь!

46 And for those that are to be redeemed6302 of the two hundred3967 and three score7657 and thirteen7969 of the firstborn1060 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 which are more5736 than5921 the Levites;3881

46 А на о́куп тих двохсо́т і семидесяти́ і трьох, що позостали понад Левитами з перворідного Ізраїлевих синів,

47 You shall even take3947 five2568 shekels8255 apiece by the poll,1538 after the shekel8255 of the sanctuary6944 shall you take3947 them: (the shekel8255 is twenty6242 gerahs:1626)

47 то візьми по п'яти шеклів на го́лову, на міру шеклем святині ві́зьмеш, — двадцять ґер шекель,

48 And you shall give5414 the money,3701 with which the odd5736 number5736 of them is to be redeemed,6302 to Aaron175 and to his sons.1121

48 і даси ті гроші Ааронові та синам його, як о́куп за позосталих серед них“.

49 And Moses4872 took3947 the redemption6306 money3701 of them that were over5736 and above5921 them that were redeemed6306 by the Levites:3881

49 І взяв Мойсей гроші окупу від позосталих понад ви́куплених Левитами,

50 Of the firstborn1060 of the children1121 of Israel3478 took3947 he the money;3701 a thousand505 three7969 hundred3967 and three score8346 and five2568 shekels, after the shekel8255 of the sanctuary:6944

50 від перворідного Ізраїлевих синів узяв він ті гроші, — тисячу і триста і шістдеся́т і п'ять на міру ше́клем святині.

51 And Moses4872 gave5414 the money3701 of them that were redeemed6306 to Aaron175 and to his sons,1121 according5921 to the word6310 of the LORD,3068 as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses.4872
