1 Тогда изрек Бог все слова сии, говоря:

2 Я Иегова, Бог твой, Который вывел тебя из земли Египетской, из дома рабства.

3 Да не будет у тебя других богов пред лицем Моим.

4 Не делай себе кумира, и никакого изображения того, что на небе вверху, что на земле внизу, и что в водах, ниже земли.

5 Не поклоняйся им и не служи им; ибо Я Иегова, Бог твой, Бог ревнитель, наказывающий за вину отцев детей до третьего и до четвертого рода, ненавидящих Меня,

6 И благотворящий до тысячи родов любящим Меня и соблюдающим заповеди Мои.

7 Не произноси имени Иеговы, Бога твоего, напрасно; ибо Иегова не оставит без наказания того, кто произносит имя Его напрасно.

8 Помни день субботний, чтобы святить его.

9 Шесть дней работай, и делай всякие дела свои;

10 А день седьмый - суббота Иеговы, Бога твоего: не делай никакого дела ни ты, ни сын твой, ни дочь твоя, ни раб твой, ни раба твоя, ни скот твой, ни пришлец, который в жилищах твоих,

11 Ибо в шесть дней Иегова создал небо и землю, море и все, что в них: а в день седьмый почил. Посему благословил Иегова день субботний и освятил его.

12 Почитай отца твоего и матерь твою, чтобы продлились дни твои на земле, которую Иегова, Бог твой, дает тебе.

13 Не убивай.

14 Не прелюбодействуй.

15 Не кради.

16 Не произноси ложного свидетельства на ближнего твоего.

17 Не желай дома ближнего твоего; не желай жены ближнего твоего, ни раба его, ни рабы его, ни вола его, ни осла его, ничего, что у ближнего твоего.

18 Весь народ видел громы, и молнии, и глас трубный и гору дымящуюся; и видя то, народ отступил, и стал вдали.

19 И сказали Моисею: говори ты с нами, и мы будем слушать; но чтобы не говорил с нами Бог, дабы нам не умереть.

20 Моисей сказал народу: не бойтесь; ибо для того Бог пришел, чтобы испытать вас, и чтобы страх Его был на лицах ваших; дабы вы не грешили.

21 И стоял народ вдали; а Моисей вступил во мрак, где Бог.

22 И сказал Иегова Моисею: так скажи сынам Израилевым: вы видели, как Я с неба говорил вам.

23 Не делайте предо Мною богов серебряных, или богов золотых, не делайте себе.

24 Сделай Мне жертвенник из земли, и принеси на нем всесожжения твои, овец твоих и волов твоих; на всяком месте, где Я положу память имени Моего, Я приду к тебе, и благословлю тебя.

25 Если же будешь делать Мне жертвенник из камней, то не сооружай из тесаных. Ибо как скоро возложишь на них тесло твое, то осквернишь их.

26 И не всходи по ступеням к жертвеннику Моему, дабы не открылась при нем нагота твоя.

Chapter 20

1 AND God spoke all these words, saying,

2 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 You shall have no other gods except me.

4 You shall not make for yourself any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth;

5 You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I the LORD your God am a zealous God, visiting the offenses of the fathers upon their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me;

6 And showing mercy to thousands of generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 You shall not take a false oath in the name of the LORD your God; for the LORD will not declare him innocent who takes an oath in his name falsely.

8 Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.

9 Six days shall you labor and do all your work;

10 But the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor the sojourner who dwells in your towns;

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the seas, and all things that are in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and sanctified it.

12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.

13 You shall not kill.

14 You shall not commit adultery.

15 You shall not steal.

16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17 You shall not covet your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is your neighbor's.

18 And all the people observed the thunderings and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw all of this, they were afraid and they stood afar off.

19 And they said to Moses, You speak to us, and we will listen; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

20 And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God is come to prove you, that his worship may be before your faces, and that you may not sin.

21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

22 And the LORD said to Moses, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, You have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

23 You shall not make for yourselves gods of gold to be worshipped along with me, neither shall you make for yourselves gods of silver.

24 An altar of earth shall you make to me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen; in every place where I shall make a memorial to my name I will come to you and I will bless you.

25 And if you make me a stone altar, you shall not build it of hewn stones; for if you lift a tool of iron upon it, you will have polluted it.

26 Neither shall you go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness be not exposed on it.

2 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 You shall have no other gods except me.

4 Не делай себе кумира, и никакого изображения того, что на небе вверху, что на земле внизу, и что в водах, ниже земли.

4 You shall not make for yourself any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth;

5 Не поклоняйся им и не служи им; ибо Я Иегова, Бог твой, Бог ревнитель, наказывающий за вину отцев детей до третьего и до четвертого рода, ненавидящих Меня,

5 You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I the LORD your God am a zealous God, visiting the offenses of the fathers upon their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me;

8 Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.

9 Шесть дней работай, и делай всякие дела свои;

9 Six days shall you labor and do all your work;

10 А день седьмый - суббота Иеговы, Бога твоего: не делай никакого дела ни ты, ни сын твой, ни дочь твоя, ни раб твой, ни раба твоя, ни скот твой, ни пришлец, который в жилищах твоих,

10 But the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor the sojourner who dwells in your towns;

11 Ибо в шесть дней Иегова создал небо и землю, море и все, что в них: а в день седьмый почил. Посему благословил Иегова день субботний и освятил его.

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the seas, and all things that are in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and sanctified it.

12 Почитай отца твоего и матерь твою, чтобы продлились дни твои на земле, которую Иегова, Бог твой, дает тебе.

12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.

13 Не убивай.

13 You shall not kill.

14 Не прелюбодействуй.

14 You shall not commit adultery.

15 Не кради.

15 You shall not steal.

16 Не произноси ложного свидетельства на ближнего твоего.

16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17 Не желай дома ближнего твоего; не желай жены ближнего твоего, ни раба его, ни рабы его, ни вола его, ни осла его, ничего, что у ближнего твоего.

17 You shall not covet your neighbor's house, you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is your neighbor's.

18 Весь народ видел громы, и молнии, и глас трубный и гору дымящуюся; и видя то, народ отступил, и стал вдали.

18 And all the people observed the thunderings and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw all of this, they were afraid and they stood afar off.

19 И сказали Моисею: говори ты с нами, и мы будем слушать; но чтобы не говорил с нами Бог, дабы нам не умереть.

19 And they said to Moses, You speak to us, and we will listen; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

20 Моисей сказал народу: не бойтесь; ибо для того Бог пришел, чтобы испытать вас, и чтобы страх Его был на лицах ваших; дабы вы не грешили.

20 And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God is come to prove you, that his worship may be before your faces, and that you may not sin.

21 И стоял народ вдали; а Моисей вступил во мрак, где Бог.

21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

22 И сказал Иегова Моисею: так скажи сынам Израилевым: вы видели, как Я с неба говорил вам.

22 And the LORD said to Moses, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, You have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

23 Не делайте предо Мною богов серебряных, или богов золотых, не делайте себе.

23 You shall not make for yourselves gods of gold to be worshipped along with me, neither shall you make for yourselves gods of silver.

24 Сделай Мне жертвенник из земли, и принеси на нем всесожжения твои, овец твоих и волов твоих; на всяком месте, где Я положу память имени Моего, Я приду к тебе, и благословлю тебя.

24 An altar of earth shall you make to me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen; in every place where I shall make a memorial to my name I will come to you and I will bless you.

25 Если же будешь делать Мне жертвенник из камней, то не сооружай из тесаных. Ибо как скоро возложишь на них тесло твое, то осквернишь их.

25 And if you make me a stone altar, you shall not build it of hewn stones; for if you lift a tool of iron upon it, you will have polluted it.

26 И не всходи по ступеням к жертвеннику Моему, дабы не открылась при нем нагота твоя.

26 Neither shall you go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness be not exposed on it.
