Chapter 24

1 AND Jesus went out of the temple to go away; and his disciples came up to him, and were showing him the building of the temple.

2 But he said to them, Behold, do you not see all of these? truly I say to you, Not a stone shall be left here upon a stone, which will not be torn down.

3 While Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came up talking among themselves, and they said to him, Tell us when these things will happen, and what is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?

4 Jesus answered and said to them, Be careful that no man deceives you.

5 For many will come in my name, and say, I am the Christ, and they will deceive many.

6 You are bound to hear of revolutions and rumors of wars; look out and do not be disturbed; for all of these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and plagues and earthquakes, in different places.

8 But all these things are just the beginning of travail.

9 Then they will deliver you over to be oppressed, and they will kill you; and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.

10 Then many will stumble, and they will hate one another, and betray one another.

11 And many false prophets will rise, and will mislead a great many.

12 And because of the growth of iniquity, the love of many will become cold.

13 But he who has patience to the end, he will be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached throughout the world as a testimony to all the nations; then the end will come.

15 When you see the sign of the refuse of desolation, as spoken by the prophet Daniel, accumulating in the holy place, whoever reads will understand it.

16 Then let those who are in Judaea, flee to the mountain,

17 And he who is on the roof, let him not come down to take things out of his house.

18 And he who is in the field, let him not return back to take his clothes.

19 But woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days!

20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter, nor on the sabbath.

21 For then will be great suffering, such as has never happened from the beginning of the world until now, and never will be again.

22 And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would live; but for the sake of the chosen ones those days will be shortened.

23 Then if any man should say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or there, do not believe it.

24 For there will rise false Christs and lying prophets, and they will show signs and great wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones.

25 Behold, I have told you in advance.

26 Therefore, if they should say to you, Behold, he is in the desert, do not go out; or, behold, he is in the room, do not believe it.

27 For just as the lightning comes out from the east, and is seen even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

28 For wherever the corpse is, there will the eagles gather.

29 Immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the universe will be shaken.

30 Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in the sky; and then all the generations of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of the sky, with an army and great glory.

31 And he will send his angels with a large trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the universe to the other.

32 From the fig tree learn a parable. As soon as its branches become tender and bring forth leaves, you know that summer is coming.

33 So even you, when you see all these things, know that it has arrived at the door.

34 Truly I say to you, that this generation will not pass away, until all these things happen.

35 Even heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 But concerning that day and that hour, no man knows, not even the angels of heaven, but the Father alone.

37 Just as in the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

38 For as the people before the flood were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark,

39 And they knew nothing until the flood came and carried them all away; such will be the coming of the Son of man.

40 Then two men will be in the field, one will be taken away and the other left.

41 Two women will be grinding at the handmill, one will be taken and the other left.

42 Be alert, therefore, for you do not know at what hour your Lord will come.

43 But know this much, that if the master of the house knew at what watch of the night the thief comes, he would keep awake and would not let his house be plundered.

44 For this reason, you also be ready, for the Son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord has appointed over his household, to give them food in due time?

46 Blessed is that servant, when his Lord comes and finds him so doing.

47 Truly I say to you, he will appoint him over all that he has.

48 But if a bad servant should say in his heart, My lord will delay his coming,

49 And he begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with drunkards,

50 The Lord of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know.

51 And he will severely scourge him, and give him a portion like that of the hypocrites; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

1 И выйдя из храма, Иисус хотел идти, и подошли ученики Его, чтобы показать Ему здания храма.

2 А Он ответил: видите вы всё это? Истинно говорю вам: не останется здесь камня на камне, который не будет опрокинут.

3 Когда же сидел Он на горе Масличной, подошли к Нему ученики отдельно от других и спросили Его: скажи нам, когда это будет, и какое знамение Твоего пришествия и конца века?

4 И ответил им Иисус: смотрите, чтобы кто не ввел вас в заблуждение.

5 Ибо многие придут под именем Моим, говоря: «я Христос», и многих введут в заблуждение.

6 Предстоит же вам в будущем слышать о войнах и военных слухах. Смотрите, не ужасайтесь; ибо это должно произойти, но это еще не конец.

7 Ибо восстанет народ на народ и царство на царство, и будут голод и землетрясения по местам;

8 всё же это начало мук рождения.

9 Тогда будут предавать вас на страдание и будут убивать вас; и вы будете ненавидимы всеми народами за имя Мое.

10 И тогда соблазнятся многие; и будут друг друга предавать, и ненавидеть друг друга;

11 и многие лжепророки восстанут и многих введут в заблуждение;

12 и от умножения беззакония, во многих охладеет любовь.

13 Претерпевший же до конца, тот будет спасен.

14 И будет проповедано это Евангелие Царства по всей вселенной во свидетельство всем народам; и тогда придет конец.

15 Итак, когда увидите мерзость запустения, ставшую на святом месте, о которой было сказано чрез Даниила пророка — читающий да разумеет, —

16 тогда находящиеся в Иудее да бегут в горы;

17 кто на крыше, да не спускается взять то, что в доме его;

18 и кто в поле, да не возвращается взять одежду свою.

19 Горе же имеющим во чреве и кормящим грудью в те дни.

20 Молитесь, чтобы не случилось бегство ваше ни зимой, ни в субботу;

21 ибо будет тогда великая скорбь, какой не было от начала мира доныне, и никогда не будет.

22 И если бы не были сокращены дни те, не была бы спасена никакая плоть; но ради избранных будут сокращены дни те.

23 Тогда, если кто вам скажет: «вот здесь Христос», или: «там», — не верьте;

24 ибо восстанут лжехристы и лжепророки и произведут знамения великие и чудеса, чтобы ввести в заблуждение, если возможно, и избранных.

25 Вот Я наперед сказал вам.

26 Итак, если скажут вам: «вот Он в пустыне», — не выходите; «вот Он во внутренних покоях», — не верьте;

27 ибо, как молния исходит от востока и светит до запада, так будет пришествие Сына Человеческого.

28 Где будет труп, там соберутся орлы.

29 Тотчас же, после скорби дней тех, солнце померкнет, и луна не даст света своего, и звезды упадут с неба, и силы небесные будут поколеблены.

30 И тогда явится знамение Сына Человеческого на небе; и тогда будут бить себя в грудь все племена земные и увидят Сына Человеческого, грядущего на облаках небесных с силою и славою великою;

31 и пошлет Он ангелов Своих с трубою великой, и соберут избранных Его от четырех ветров, от края небес до края их.

32 А образом да будет вам смоковница: когда ветвь ее становится уже мягкой и пускает листья, вы знаете, что близко лето.

33 Так и вы, когда увидите всё это, знайте, что близко, при дверях.

34 Истинно говорю вам: не пройдет род сей, доколе всё это не сбудется.

35 Небо и земля пройдут, слова же Мои не пройдут.

36 О дне же том и часе никто не знает, ни ангелы небесные, ни Сын, но один только Отец.

37 Ибо как дни Ноя, так будет пришествие Сына Человеческого.

38 Как во дни перед потопом ели и пили, женились и выходили замуж до того дня, как вошел Ной в ковчег,

39 и не понимали, пока не пришел потоп и не унес всех, — так будет и пришествие Сына Человеческого.

40 Тогда будут двое в поле: один берется, а другой оставляется;

41 две мелющие в жерновах: одна берется, а другая оставляется.

42 Итак, бодрствуйте, ибо не знаете, в какой день Господь ваш придет.

43 Но вот, что вы знаете: если бы ведал хозяин дома, в какую стражу придет вор, он бодрствовал бы и не позволил бы подкопать дома своего.

44 Поэтому и вы готовьтесь, ибо в час, в какой не думаете, придет Сын Человеческий.

45 Кто же верный раб и разумный, которого поставил господин его над челядью своей, чтобы давать им пищу вовремя?

46 Блажен раб тот, которого господин его, придя, найдет так поступающим.

47 Истинно говорю вам: над всем имением своим поставит его.

48 Если же скажет злой раб тот в сердце своем: «медлит мой господин»,

49 и начнет бить других рабов, таких же, как и он, есть же и пить с пьяницами, —

50 придет господин раба того в день, в который он не ожидает, и в час, которого не знает,

51 и рассечет его надвое и подвергнет его одной участи с лицемерами: там будет плач и скрежет зубов.

6 Предстоит же вам в будущем слышать о войнах и военных слухах. Смотрите, не ужасайтесь; ибо это должно произойти, но это еще не конец.

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and plagues and earthquakes, in different places.

7 Ибо восстанет народ на народ и царство на царство, и будут голод и землетрясения по местам;

8 But all these things are just the beginning of travail.

19 But woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days!

19 Горе же имеющим во чреве и кормящим грудью в те дни.

25 Behold, I have told you in advance.

35 Even heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

35 Небо и земля пройдут, слова же Мои не пройдут.

40 Then two men will be in the field, one will be taken away and the other left.

40 Тогда будут двое в поле: один берется, а другой оставляется;

41 Two women will be grinding at the handmill, one will be taken and the other left.

41 две мелющие в жерновах: одна берется, а другая оставляется.

42 Be alert, therefore, for you do not know at what hour your Lord will come.

42 Итак, бодрствуйте, ибо не знаете, в какой день Господь ваш придет.

43 But know this much, that if the master of the house knew at what watch of the night the thief comes, he would keep awake and would not let his house be plundered.

43 Но вот, что вы знаете: если бы ведал хозяин дома, в какую стражу придет вор, он бодрствовал бы и не позволил бы подкопать дома своего.

44 For this reason, you also be ready, for the Son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

44 Поэтому и вы готовьтесь, ибо в час, в какой не думаете, придет Сын Человеческий.

45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord has appointed over his household, to give them food in due time?

45 Кто же верный раб и разумный, которого поставил господин его над челядью своей, чтобы давать им пищу вовремя?

46 Blessed is that servant, when his Lord comes and finds him so doing.

46 Блажен раб тот, которого господин его, придя, найдет так поступающим.

47 Truly I say to you, he will appoint him over all that he has.

47 Истинно говорю вам: над всем имением своим поставит его.

48 But if a bad servant should say in his heart, My lord will delay his coming,

48 Если же скажет злой раб тот в сердце своем: «медлит мой господин»,

49 And he begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with drunkards,

49 и начнет бить других рабов, таких же, как и он, есть же и пить с пьяницами, —

50 The Lord of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know.

50 придет господин раба того в день, в который он не ожидает, и в час, которого не знает,

51 And he will severely scourge him, and give him a portion like that of the hypocrites; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

51 и рассечет его надвое и подвергнет его одной участи с лицемерами: там будет плач и скрежет зубов.
