1 THE LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Speak to Aaron and say to him, When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the candlestick.

3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the seven lamps thereof in front of the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.

4 And the work of the candlestick was of molten gold; from its base to its flower was of cast work; according to the pattern which the LORD had shown to Moses, so he made the candlestick.

5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

7 And thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: Sprinkle purifying water upon them, and let them shave all the body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

8 Then let them take a young bullock with its meal offering, a dish full of fine flour mixed with oil, and another young bullock shall you offer for a sin offering.

9 And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation; and you shall gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together;

10 Then you shall bring the Levites before the LORD; and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites;

11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering from the children of Israel, that they may perform the service of the LORD.

12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.

13 And you shall make the Levites stand before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them for an offering to the LORD.

14 Thus shall you separate the Levites from among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine.

15 And after that the Levites shall go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and you shall cleanse them, and offer them for an offering before the LORD.

16 For they are wholly given to me as a gift from among the children of Israel; instead of all that open the womb, even instead of the first-born of all the children of Israel, have I taken them to me.

17 For all the first-born of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast; on the day that I smote every first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

18 And I have taken the Levites for all the first-born of the children of Israel.

19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel when they come near to the sanctuary.

20 And Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel did to the Levites according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so did the children of Israel to them.

21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them and cleansed them.

22 And after that the Levites went in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron and before his sons; as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did unto them the children of Israel.

23 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

24 This shall be the law for the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation;

25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease from the service and shall serve no more,

26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation to keep guard, and shall do no service. Thus shall you do to the Levites concerning their charge.

1 ГОСПОДЬ повелел Моисею

2 дать такое указание Аарону: «Когда будешь расставлять лампы, позаботься о том, чтобы все семь ламп светильника освещали пространство перед ним».

3 Аарон и сделал всё так, как повелел ГОСПОДЬ Моисею: он поставил лампы на передней стороне светильника.

4 Сам светильник был сделан из золота чеканной работы, от ствола до внутренних лепестков чеканка, и выглядел так, как показал ГОСПОДЬ Моисею.

5 Тогда же сказал ГОСПОДЬ Моисею:

6 «Позови к себе левитов из сынов Израилевых и соверши над ними ритуал очищения.

7 И вот что следует сделать, чтобы очистить их: окропи их водою очищающей, а они должны выбрить всё тело свое и выстирать свою одежду. Тогда они станут чистыми.

8 После этого пусть возьмут молодого быка для всесожжения вместе с предписанным хлебным даром из лучшей пшеничной муки, политой оливковым маслом, и еще одного молодого быка как жертву за грех.

9 Потом вели левитам собраться перед Шатром Откровения; и когда созовешь туда всю общину израильтян

10 и поставишь левитов перед ГОСПОДОМ, пусть сыны Израилевы возложат на них свои руки.

11 Аарон же должен будет водить левитов перед ГОСПОДОМ — то вперед к Святилищу, то назад к народу — как возносимый дар от сынов Израилевых для отправления службы ГОСПОДУ при Святилище.

12 И пусть левиты возложат свои руки на головы молодых быков, один из которых будет принесен в жертву за грех, а другой — в полностью сжигаемую жертву ГОСПОДУ, чтобы восстановить единение левитов с Богом.

13 Ты поставишь их перед Аароном и сыновьями его и передашь на служение ГОСПОДУ как дар возносимый.

14 Так отделишь ты левитов от всех других сынов Израилевых: левиты должны принадлежать Мне.

15 После этого смогут они входить в Шатер Откровения для служения в нем, будучи ритуально очищены и отданы Богу как дар возносимый.

16 Из всех сынов Израилевых только они полностью отданы Мне; их Я взял Себе вместо первенцев Израиля, первого плода чрева материнского.

17 Мне ведь принадлежит всякий первенец сынов Израилевых, и первенцы из скота — Мои. В тот день, когда истребил Я первенцев Египта, отделил Я для Себя первенцев Израиля,

18 а теперь беру левитов вместо всех первенцев сынов Израиля.

19 Из всех сынов Израилевых Я приставил к Аарону и сыновьям его левитов как людей, посвященных для совершения служения при Шатре Откровения от лица сынов Израилевых и для восстановления их единения с Богом, чтобы не случилось какое страшное бедствие среди них, если они решатся подойти слишком близко к Святилищу».

20 Моисей и Аарон вместе со всем народом израильским исполнили все повеления ГОСПОДА, данные Моисею о посвящении левитов.

21 Левиты ритуально очистились, выстирали свои одежды, и Аарон преподнес их как дар, возносимый перед ГОСПОДОМ; восстановил единение их с Богом, дабы чисты они были.

22 После того приступили левиты к своему служению в Шатре Откровения в помощь Аарону с сыновьями его. Так повеления ГОСПОДНИ, данные Моисею о левитах, были исполнены.

23 ГОСПОДЬ сказал Моисею:

24 «Вот что еще касается левитов. Пусть с двадцати пяти лет приступают они к служению и исполнению своих обязанностей при Шатре Откровения.

25 После пятидесяти им следует оставлять служение и более его не нести.

26 Они могут помогать своим братьям, исполняя некоторые обязанности при Шатре Откровения. Сами же, однако, никакого служения нести не должны. Вот так ты должен распределять обязанности между левитами».

1 THE LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the seven lamps thereof in front of the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.

3 Аарон и сделал всё так, как повелел ГОСПОДЬ Моисею: он поставил лампы на передней стороне светильника.

4 And the work of the candlestick was of molten gold; from its base to its flower was of cast work; according to the pattern which the LORD had shown to Moses, so he made the candlestick.

4 Сам светильник был сделан из золота чеканной работы, от ствола до внутренних лепестков чеканка, и выглядел так, как показал ГОСПОДЬ Моисею.

5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

5 Тогда же сказал ГОСПОДЬ Моисею:

6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

6 «Позови к себе левитов из сынов Израилевых и соверши над ними ритуал очищения.

7 And thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: Sprinkle purifying water upon them, and let them shave all the body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

7 И вот что следует сделать, чтобы очистить их: окропи их водою очищающей, а они должны выбрить всё тело свое и выстирать свою одежду. Тогда они станут чистыми.

8 После этого пусть возьмут молодого быка для всесожжения вместе с предписанным хлебным даром из лучшей пшеничной муки, политой оливковым маслом, и еще одного молодого быка как жертву за грех.

9 And you shall bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation; and you shall gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together;

9 Потом вели левитам собраться перед Шатром Откровения; и когда созовешь туда всю общину израильтян

10 Then you shall bring the Levites before the LORD; and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites;

10 и поставишь левитов перед ГОСПОДОМ, пусть сыны Израилевы возложат на них свои руки.

11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering from the children of Israel, that they may perform the service of the LORD.

11 Аарон же должен будет водить левитов перед ГОСПОДОМ — то вперед к Святилищу, то назад к народу — как возносимый дар от сынов Израилевых для отправления службы ГОСПОДУ при Святилище.

12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.

12 И пусть левиты возложат свои руки на головы молодых быков, один из которых будет принесен в жертву за грех, а другой — в полностью сжигаемую жертву ГОСПОДУ, чтобы восстановить единение левитов с Богом.

13 And you shall make the Levites stand before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them for an offering to the LORD.

13 Ты поставишь их перед Аароном и сыновьями его и передашь на служение ГОСПОДУ как дар возносимый.

14 Thus shall you separate the Levites from among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine.

14 Так отделишь ты левитов от всех других сынов Израилевых: левиты должны принадлежать Мне.

15 And after that the Levites shall go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and you shall cleanse them, and offer them for an offering before the LORD.

15 После этого смогут они входить в Шатер Откровения для служения в нем, будучи ритуально очищены и отданы Богу как дар возносимый.

16 For they are wholly given to me as a gift from among the children of Israel; instead of all that open the womb, even instead of the first-born of all the children of Israel, have I taken them to me.

16 Из всех сынов Израилевых только они полностью отданы Мне; их Я взял Себе вместо первенцев Израиля, первого плода чрева материнского.

19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel when they come near to the sanctuary.

19 Из всех сынов Израилевых Я приставил к Аарону и сыновьям его левитов как людей, посвященных для совершения служения при Шатре Откровения от лица сынов Израилевых и для восстановления их единения с Богом, чтобы не случилось какое страшное бедствие среди них, если они решатся подойти слишком близко к Святилищу».

20 And Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel did to the Levites according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so did the children of Israel to them.

20 Моисей и Аарон вместе со всем народом израильским исполнили все повеления ГОСПОДА, данные Моисею о посвящении левитов.

21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them and cleansed them.

21 Левиты ритуально очистились, выстирали свои одежды, и Аарон преподнес их как дар, возносимый перед ГОСПОДОМ; восстановил единение их с Богом, дабы чисты они были.

22 And after that the Levites went in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron and before his sons; as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did unto them the children of Israel.

22 После того приступили левиты к своему служению в Шатре Откровения в помощь Аарону с сыновьями его. Так повеления ГОСПОДНИ, данные Моисею о левитах, были исполнены.

23 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

23 ГОСПОДЬ сказал Моисею:

24 This shall be the law for the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation;

24 «Вот что еще касается левитов. Пусть с двадцати пяти лет приступают они к служению и исполнению своих обязанностей при Шатре Откровения.
