Chapter 9

1 SO he went up into the boat, and crossed over and came to his own city.

2 And they brought to him a paralytic, lying on a quilt-bed; and Jesus saw their faith, and he said to the paralytic, Have courage, my son; your sins have been forgiven.

3 Some of the scribes said among themselves, This man blasphemes.

4 But Jesus knew their thoughts; so he said to them, Why do you think evil in your hearts?

5 For which is easier to say, Your sins have been forgiven, or to say, Arise and walk?

6 But that you might know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, then he said to the paralytic, Arise, take up your quilt-bed, and go to your home.

7 And he rose up and went to his home.

8 But when the crowds saw it, they were frightened, and they glorified God, because he had given such power as this to men.

9 And as Jesus passed from that place, he saw a man whose name was Matthew, sitting in the custom house, and he said to him, Follow me; and he got up and went after him.

10 And while they were guests in the house, a great many publicans and sinners came, and they sat as guests with Jesus and with his disciples.

11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why does your master eat with publicans and sinners?

12 But when Jesus heard it, he said to them, Those who are well need no doctor, but those who are seriously sick.

13 Go and learn what this means, I want mercy and not sacrifice; for I came not to invite righteous men, but sinners.

14 Then the disciples of John came up to him, and said, Why do we and the Pharisees fast a great deal, and your disciples never fast?

15 Jesus said to them, Is it possible for those at the wedding feast to fast as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days are coming, when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.

16 No man puts a new patch on an old garment, so as not to weaken that garment, and make the hole larger.

17 Neither do they pour new wine into worn out skins, so as not to rend the skins, and spill the wine, and the wine runs out, and the skins are ruined; but they pour new wine into new skins, and both of them are well preserved.

18 While he was speaking these things with them, a leader of the synagogue came near and worshipped him; and he said, My daughter has just died, but come and put your hand on her and she will live.

19 And Jesus and his disciples rose up and went with him.

20 And behold a woman who had had the hemorrhage for twelve years, came up from behind him, and she touched the edge of his cloak;

21 For she was saying to herself, If I can only touch his garment, I will be healed.

22 And Jesus turned around and saw her and said to her, Have courage, my daughter, your faith has healed you; and the woman was healed in that very hour.

23 So Jesus arrived at the house of the synagogue leader, and saw the singers and the excited crowds.

24 And he said to them, That is enough; for the little girl is not dead, but she is asleep; and they laughed at him.

25 But when he had put the people out, he went in and held her by her hand, and the little girl got up.

26 And this news spread all over that country.

27 And as Jesus passed from there, he was delayed by two blind men, who were crying out and saying, Have mercy on us, O son of David.

28 And when he came into the house, the same blind men came up to him. Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I can do this? They said to him, Yes, our Lord.

29 Then he touched their eyes and said, Let it be to you according to your faith.

30 And immediately their eyes were opened; and Jesus charged them and said, See that no one knows it.

31 But they went out and spread the news all over that country.

32 And when Jesus went out, they brought to him a dumb man who was demented.

33 And as soon as he was restored, the dumb man spoke, and the people were amazed and said, Such a thing has never been seen in Israel.

34 But the Pharisees said, He is casting out devils by the help of the prince of devils.

35 And Jesus travelled in all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of sickness and disease.

36 When Jesus saw the multitudes, he had compassion on them, because they were tired out and scattered, like sheep which have no shepherd.

37 So he said to his disciples, The harvest is great, and the laborers are few;

38 Therefore urge the owner of the harvest to bring more laborers to his harvest.

1 Иисус вернулся к лодке, переправился на другой берег и прибыл в Свой город.

2 И тут люди принесли к Нему на носилках парализованного. Видя веру их, Иисус сказал параличному: «Не бойся, юноша! Твои грехи прощены».

3 При этом иные из книжников говорили про себя: «Он богохульствует!»

4 Иисус же, зная, о чем они думают, сказал им: «Для чего вынашиваете вы в сердцах такие недобрые мысли?

5 Что легче сказать: „Твои грехи прощены“ или „Встань и иди“?

6 Но чтобы убедить вас, что есть у Сына Человеческого власть на земле прощать грехи, — Он обратился к параличному, — встань, возьми постель свою и иди домой!»

7 Тот встал и пошел домой.

8 При виде этого народ, исполнившись благоговейного трепета, стал славить Бога, давшего такую власть людям.

9 Возвращаясь оттуда, Иисус увидел сидевшего на месте сбора налогов человека, которого звали Матфей, и сказал ему: «Иди за Мной!» Матфей встал и пошел за Ним.

10 Когда же Иисус обедал в доме, собралось там много сборщиков налогов и тех, кого называли грешниками, они заняли место за одним столом вместе с Ним и Его учениками.

11 Увидев это, фарисеи стали говорить ученикам Его: «Почему Учитель ваш ест со сборщиками налогов и с грешниками?»

12 Иисус услышал это и сказал: «Не здоровым нужен врач, а больным.

13 Ступайте же и вдумайтесь в слова Писания: „Милосердия хочу, а не жертвоприношений“. Не праведных пришел Я призвать, а грешников».

14 Явились к Нему потом ученики Иоанна и спросили: «Почему мы и фарисеи постимся [часто], а Твои ученики не постятся?»

15 Иисус ответил: «Разве могут печалиться гости на брачном пире, пока с ними Жених? Придет время, когда отнимут у них Жениха, тогда и будут поститься.

16 Никто ведь не ставит заплату из новой ткани на ветхую одежду: такая заплата разорвет старую ткань, и дыра станет еще больше.

17 И не наливают молодое вино в старые мехи: мехи эти прорвутся, тогда и вино вытечет, и мехи пропадут. Молодое вино наливают в новые мехи — тогда и то, и другое сохраняется».

18 Когда Иисус говорил им это, подошел к Нему один из старейшин и, пав ниц перед Ним, вымолвил: «Дочь моя только что скончалась, но Ты приди, возложи на нее руку Свою, и она оживет!»

19 Иисус встал и пошел с учениками Своими за ним.

20 Тут женщина, целых двенадцать лет мучавшаяся от кровотечения, подошла к Нему сзади и прикоснулась к краю одежды Его,

21 она говорила себе: «Исцелена буду, если хоть к одежде Его прикоснусь».

22 Иисус обернулся и, увидев ее, сказал: «Не бойся, дочь Моя! Вера твоя принесла тебе исцеление». В тот же миг женщина стала здорова.

23 Войдя в дом старейшины, Иисус увидел там флейтистов и множество плачущих людей.

24 Он сказал им: «Выйдите все! Девочка не умерла — она спит!» Над Ним стали смеяться.

25 Когда же народ удалили, Иисус вошел в комнату, где лежала девочка, взял ее за руку, и она встала.

26 Слух об этом прошел по всей земле той.

27 Когда Иисус уходил оттуда, [за Ним] последовали двое слепых. Они кричали: «Сжалься над нами, Сын Давидов!»

28 Как только Он вошел в дом, слепые приблизились к Нему. Иисус спросил их: «Верите ли, что Я могу это сделать?» «Да, Господи», — ответили они.

29 Тогда прикоснулся Он к их глазам и сказал: «Пусть будет вам по вере вашей».

30 И открылись глаза их; Иисус же строго предупредил их: «Смотрите, чтобы никто не знал об этом».

31 Они же, выйдя, стали рассказывать о Нем по всей земле той.

32 Не успели эти двое выйти, как привели к Иисусу немого, одержимого бесом.

33 Бес был изгнан, и немой заговорил. Люди пришли в изумление. «Никогда еще такого не видели в Израиле!» — говорили они.

34 Фарисеи же твердили: «Силой бесовского князя изгоняет Он бесов».

35 Так ходил Иисус по всем городам и селениям, уча в синагогах, возвещая Благую Весть о Царстве Божьем и исцеляя всякие болезни и всякие недуги.

36 Вид толп людских вызывал в Нем глубокое сострадание, потому что люди, как овцы без пастуха, были измучены и обессилены.

37 И сказал тогда Иисус Своим ученикам: «Жатва велика, а работников мало —

38 просите Господина жатвы, чтобы послал Он больше работников на жатву Свою».

Видя веру их, Иисус сказал параличному: «Не бойся, юноша! Твои грехи прощены».

4 But Jesus knew their thoughts; so he said to them, Why do you think evil in your hearts?	4 Иисус же, зная, о чем они думают, сказал им: «Для чего вынашиваете вы в сердцах такие недобрые мысли?
5 For which is easier to say, Your sins have been forgiven, or to say, Arise and walk?	5 Что легче сказать: „Твои грехи прощены“ или „Встань и иди“?
6 But that you might know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, then he said to the paralytic, Arise, take up your quilt-bed, and go to your home.	6 Но чтобы убедить вас, что есть у Сына Человеческого власть на земле прощать грехи, — Он обратился к параличному, — встань, возьми постель свою и иди домой!»
7 And he rose up and went to his home.	7 Тот встал и пошел домой.
8 But when the crowds saw it, they were frightened, and they glorified God, because he had given such power as this to men.	8 При виде этого народ, исполнившись благоговейного трепета, стал славить Бога, давшего такую власть людям.
9 And as Jesus passed from that place, he saw a man whose name was Matthew, sitting in the custom house, and he said to him, Follow me; and he got up and went after him.	9 Возвращаясь оттуда, Иисус увидел сидевшего на месте сбора налогов человека, которого звали Матфей, и сказал ему: «Иди за Мной!» Матфей встал и пошел за Ним.
10 And while they were guests in the house, a great many publicans and sinners came, and they sat as guests with Jesus and with his disciples.	10 Когда же Иисус обедал в доме, собралось там много сборщиков налогов и тех, кого называли грешниками, они заняли место за одним столом вместе с Ним и Его учениками.
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why does your master eat with publicans and sinners?	11 Увидев это, фарисеи стали говорить ученикам Его: «Почему Учитель ваш ест со сборщиками налогов и с грешниками?»
12 But when Jesus heard it, he said to them, Those who are well need no doctor, but those who are seriously sick.	12 Иисус услышал это и сказал: «Не здоровым нужен врач, а больным.
13 Go and learn what this means, I want mercy and not sacrifice; for I came not to invite righteous men, but sinners.	13 Ступайте же и вдумайтесь в слова Писания: „Милосердия хочу, а не жертвоприношений“. Не праведных пришел Я призвать, а грешников».
14 Then the disciples of John came up to him, and said, Why do we and the Pharisees fast a great deal, and your disciples never fast?	14 Явились к Нему потом ученики Иоанна и спросили: «Почему мы и фарисеи постимся [часто], а Твои ученики не постятся?»

But the days are coming, when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.	15 Иисус ответил: «Разве могут печалиться гости на брачном пире, пока с ними Жених? Придет время, когда отнимут у них Жениха, тогда и будут поститься.

17 Neither do they pour new wine into worn out skins, so as not to rend the skins, and spill the wine, and the wine runs out, and the skins are ruined; but they pour new wine into new skins, and both of them are well preserved.	17 И не наливают молодое вино в старые мехи: мехи эти прорвутся, тогда и вино вытечет, и мехи пропадут. Молодое вино наливают в новые мехи — тогда и то, и другое сохраняется».
18 While he was speaking these things with them, a leader of the synagogue came near and worshipped him; and he said, My daughter has just died, but come and put your hand on her and she will live.	18 Когда Иисус говорил им это, подошел к Нему один из старейшин и, пав ниц перед Ним, вымолвил: «Дочь моя только что скончалась, но Ты приди, возложи на нее руку Свою, и она оживет!»
19 And Jesus and his disciples rose up and went with him.	19 Иисус встал и пошел с учениками Своими за ним.

21 For she was saying to herself, If I can only touch his garment, I will be healed.	21 она говорила себе: «Исцелена буду, если хоть к одежде Его прикоснусь».
22 And Jesus turned around and saw her and said to her, Have courage, my daughter, your faith has healed you; and the woman was healed in that very hour.	22 Иисус обернулся и, увидев ее, сказал: «Не бойся, дочь Моя! Вера твоя принесла тебе исцеление». В тот же миг женщина стала здорова.
