1 In the third7992 month,2320 when the children1121 of Israel3478 were gone3318 forth3318 out of the land776 of Egypt,4714 the same2088 day3117 came935 they into the wilderness4057 of Sinai.5514

2 For they were departed5265 from Rephidim,7508 and were come935 to the desert4057 of Sinai,5514 and had pitched2583 in the wilderness;4057 and there8033 Israel3478 camped2583 before5048 the mount.2022

3 And Moses4872 went5927 up to God,430 and the LORD3068 called7121 to him out of the mountain,2022 saying,559 Thus3541 shall you say559 to the house1004 of Jacob,3290 and tell5046 the children1121 of Israel;3478

4 You have seen7200 what834 I did6213 to the Egyptians,4714 and how I bore5375 you on5921 eagles'5404 wings,3671 and brought935 you to myself.

5 Now6258 therefore, if518 you will obey8085 my voice6963 indeed, and keep8104 my covenant,1285 then you shall be a peculiar5459 treasure to me above all3605 people:5971 for all3605 the earth776 is mine:

6 And you shall be to me a kingdom4467 of priests,3548 and an holy6918 nation.1471 These428 are the words1697 which834 you shall speak1696 to the children1121 of Israel.3478

7 And Moses4872 came935 and called7121 for the elders2205 of the people,5971 and laid7760 before their faces6440 all3605 these428 words1697 which834 the LORD3068 commanded6680 him.

8 And all3605 the people5971 answered6030 together,3162 and said,559 All3605 that the LORD3068 has spoken1696 we will do.6213 And Moses4872 returned7725 the words1697 of the people5971 to the LORD.3068

9 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 See,2009 I come935 to you in a thick5645 cloud,6051 that the people5971 may hear8085 when I speak1696 with you, and believe539 you for ever.5769 And Moses4872 told5046 the words1697 of the people5971 to the LORD.3068

10 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Go3212 to the people,5971 and sanctify6942 them to day3117 and to morrow,4279 and let them wash3526 their clothes,8071

11 And be ready3559 against the third7992 day:3117 for the third7992 day3117 the LORD3068 will come3381 down3381 in the sight5869 of all3605 the people5971 on mount2022 Sinai.5514

12 And you shall set bounds1379 to the people5971 round5439 about, saying,559 Take heed8104 to yourselves, that you go5927 not up into the mount,2022 or touch5060 the border7097 of it: whoever3605 touches5060 the mount2022 shall be surely put to death:4191

13 There shall not an hand3027 touch5060 it, but he shall surely3588 be stoned,5619 or shot3384 through; whether518 it be beast929 or176 man,376 it shall not live:2421 when the trumpet3104 sounds long,4900 they shall come5927 up to the mount.2022

14 And Moses4872 went3381 down3381 from the mount2022 to the people,5971 and sanctified6942 the people;5971 and they washed3526 their clothes.8071

15 And he said559 to the people,5971 Be ready3559 against the third7969 day:3117 come5066 not at413 your wives.802

16 And it came1961 to pass on the third7992 day3117 in the morning,1242 that there were thunders6963 and lightning,1300 and a thick3515 cloud6051 on the mount,2022 and the voice6963 of the trumpet7782 exceeding3966 loud;2389 so that all3605 the people5971 that was in the camp4264 trembled.2729

17 And Moses4872 brought3318 forth3318 the people5971 out of the camp4264 to meet7125 with God;430 and they stood3320 at the nether8482 part of the mount.2022

18 And mount2022 Sinai5514 was altogether3605 on a smoke,6225 because6440 834 the LORD3068 descended3381 on it in fire:784 and the smoke6227 thereof ascended5927 as the smoke6227 of a furnace,3536 and the whole3605 mount2022 quaked2729 greatly.3966

19 And when1961 the voice6963 of the trumpet7782 sounded1980 long, and waxed louder3966 and louder,3966 Moses4872 spoke,1696 and God430 answered6030 him by a voice.6963

20 And the LORD3068 came3381 down3381 on mount2022 Sinai,5514 on413 the top7218 of the mount:2022 and the LORD3068 called7121 Moses4872 up to the top7218 of the mount;2022 and Moses4872 went5927 up.

21 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Go3381 down,3381 charge5749 the people,5971 lest6435 they break2040 through to the LORD3068 to gaze,7200 and many7227 of them perish.5307

22 And let the priests3548 also,1571 which come5066 near5066 to the LORD,3068 sanctify6942 themselves, lest6435 the LORD3068 break6555 forth on them.

23 And Moses4872 said559 to the LORD,3068 The people5971 cannot3808 3201 come5927 up to mount2022 Sinai:5514 for you charged5749 us, saying,559 Set bounds1379 about854 the mount,2022 and sanctify6942 it.

24 And the LORD3068 said559 to him, Away,3212 get3381 you down,3381 and you shall come5927 up, you, and Aaron175 with you: but let not the priests3548 and the people5971 break2040 through to come5927 up to the LORD,3068 lest6435 he break6555 forth on them.

25 So Moses4872 went3381 down3381 to the people,5971 and spoke559 to them.

1 Третього місяця по ви́ході Ізраїлевих синів із єгипетського краю, того дня прибули́ вони на Сіна́йську пустиню.

2 І рушили вони з Рефідіму, і ввійшли до Сінайської пустині, та й ота́борилися в пустині. І ота́борився там Ізраїль навпроти гори.

3 А Мойсей увійшов до Бога. І кликнув до нього Господь із гори, говорячи: „Скажеш отак дому Якова, і звістиш синам Ізраїля:

4 Ви бачили, що́ Я зробив був Єгиптові, і носив вас на кри́лах орли́них, і привів вас до Себе.

5 А тепер, коли справді послухаєте Мого голосу, і будете дотримувати запові́ту Мого, то станете Мені власністю більше всіх народів, бо вся земля — то Моя!

6 А ви станете Мені ца́рством священиків та народом святим. Оце ті речі, що про них будеш казати Ізраїлевим синам“.

7 І прибув Мойсей, і покликав і старши́х наро́дніх, та й виложив перед ними всі ті слова́, що Господь наказав був йому.

8 І відповів увесь народ ра́зом, та й сказав: „Усе, що Господь говорив, зро́бимо!“ А Мойсей доніс слова́ народу до Господа.

9 І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Ось Я до те́бе прийду́ в густій хмарі, щоб чув народ, коли Я говоритиму з тобою, і щоб повірив і тобі навіки!“ І переповів Мойсей слова народу до Господа.

10 І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Іди до люде́й, і освяти їх сьогодні та взавтра, і нехай вони ви́перуть одіж свою.

11 І нехай вони будуть готові на третій день, бо третього дня зі́йде Господь на го́ру Сіна́й на оча́х усього народу.

12 І обведеш границею народ довко́ла, говорячи: Стережіться схо́дити на го́ру й доторкуватися до кра́ю її. Кожен, хто доторкне́ться до гори́, буде ко́нче забитий!

13 Нехай не доторкне́ться до неї рука, бо буде ко́нче вкамено́ваний, або буде справді застрілений, чи то худо́бина, чи то люди́на, — не буде жити вона. Як сурма засурмить протяжливо, вони вийдуть на го́ру“.

14 І зійшов Мойсей з гори до народу, і освятив народ, а вони ви́прали одежу свою.

15 І він сказав до народу: „Будьте готові на третій день; не входьте до жіно́к “.

16 І сталося третього дня, коли ра́нок настав, — і знялися гро́ми та бли́скавки, і густа хмара над горою та сильний голос сурми! І затремтів увесь народ, що був у табо́рі...

17 І вивів Мойсей наро́д із табо́ру назустріч Богові, і вони стали під горою.

18 А гора Сіна́й — уся вона димува́ла через те, що Господь зійшов на неї в огні! І піднявся дим її, немов дим вапня́рки, і сильно затремтіла вся гора.

19 І розлігся голос сурми́, і він сильно все могутнів: Мойсей говорить, а Бог відповідає йому голосно.

20 І зійшов Господь на го́ру Сіна́й, на верхі́в'я гори. І покликав Господь Мойсея на верхів'я гори. І вийшов Мойсей.

21 І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Зійди, остережи народ, щоб не рвався до Господа, щоб побачити, бо багато з нього загине.

22 А також священики, що будуть підходити до Господа, нехай перше освятяться, щоб Господь їх не повбива́в“.

23 І сказав Мойсей до Господа: „Не зможе народ вийти на го́ру Сінай, бо Ти засві́дчив між нами, говорячи: Обведи границею цю го́ру, і освяти її“.

24 І промовив до нього Господь: „Іди, зійди, а потім вийди ти й Аарон з тобою, а священики й народ нехай не рвуться до Господа, щоб Я не повбива́в їх.

25 І зійшов Мойсей до народу, і { сказав їм це все.

1 Третього місяця по ви́ході Ізраїлевих синів із єгипетського краю, того дня прибули́ вони на Сіна́йську пустиню.

2 For they were departed5265 from Rephidim,7508 and were come935 to the desert4057 of Sinai,5514 and had pitched2583 in the wilderness;4057 and there8033 Israel3478 camped2583 before5048 the mount.2022

2 І рушили вони з Рефідіму, і ввійшли до Сінайської пустині, та й ота́борилися в пустині. І ота́борився там Ізраїль навпроти гори.

3 And Moses4872 went5927 up to God,430 and the LORD3068 called7121 to him out of the mountain,2022 saying,559 Thus3541 shall you say559 to the house1004 of Jacob,3290 and tell5046 the children1121 of Israel;3478

3 А Мойсей увійшов до Бога. І кликнув до нього Господь із гори, говорячи: „Скажеш отак дому Якова, і звістиш синам Ізраїля:

4 You have seen7200 what834 I did6213 to the Egyptians,4714 and how I bore5375 you on5921 eagles'5404 wings,3671 and brought935 you to myself.

4 Ви бачили, що́ Я зробив був Єгиптові, і носив вас на кри́лах орли́них, і привів вас до Себе.

5 Now6258 therefore, if518 you will obey8085 my voice6963 indeed, and keep8104 my covenant,1285 then you shall be a peculiar5459 treasure to me above all3605 people:5971 for all3605 the earth776 is mine:

5 А тепер, коли справді послухаєте Мого голосу, і будете дотримувати запові́ту Мого, то станете Мені власністю більше всіх народів, бо вся земля — то Моя!

6 And you shall be to me a kingdom4467 of priests,3548 and an holy6918 nation.1471 These428 are the words1697 which834 you shall speak1696 to the children1121 of Israel.3478

6 А ви станете Мені ца́рством священиків та народом святим. Оце ті речі, що про них будеш казати Ізраїлевим синам“.

7 And Moses4872 came935 and called7121 for the elders2205 of the people,5971 and laid7760 before their faces6440 all3605 these428 words1697 which834 the LORD3068 commanded6680 him.

7 І прибув Мойсей, і покликав і старши́х наро́дніх, та й виложив перед ними всі ті слова́, що Господь наказав був йому.

8 And all3605 the people5971 answered6030 together,3162 and said,559 All3605 that the LORD3068 has spoken1696 we will do.6213 And Moses4872 returned7725 the words1697 of the people5971 to the LORD.3068

8 І відповів увесь народ ра́зом, та й сказав: „Усе, що Господь говорив, зро́бимо!“ А Мойсей доніс слова́ народу до Господа.

9 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 See,2009 I come935 to you in a thick5645 cloud,6051 that the people5971 may hear8085 when I speak1696 with you, and believe539 you for ever.5769 And Moses4872 told5046 the words1697 of the people5971 to the LORD.3068

9 І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Ось Я до те́бе прийду́ в густій хмарі, щоб чув народ, коли Я говоритиму з тобою, і щоб повірив і тобі навіки!“ І переповів Мойсей слова народу до Господа.

10 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Go3212 to the people,5971 and sanctify6942 them to day3117 and to morrow,4279 and let them wash3526 their clothes,8071

10 І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Іди до люде́й, і освяти їх сьогодні та взавтра, і нехай вони ви́перуть одіж свою.

11 And be ready3559 against the third7992 day:3117 for the third7992 day3117 the LORD3068 will come3381 down3381 in the sight5869 of all3605 the people5971 on mount2022 Sinai.5514

11 І нехай вони будуть готові на третій день, бо третього дня зі́йде Господь на го́ру Сіна́й на оча́х усього народу.

12 And you shall set bounds1379 to the people5971 round5439 about, saying,559 Take heed8104 to yourselves, that you go5927 not up into the mount,2022 or touch5060 the border7097 of it: whoever3605 touches5060 the mount2022 shall be surely put to death:4191

12 І обведеш границею народ довко́ла, говорячи: Стережіться схо́дити на го́ру й доторкуватися до кра́ю її. Кожен, хто доторкне́ться до гори́, буде ко́нче забитий!

13 There shall not an hand3027 touch5060 it, but he shall surely3588 be stoned,5619 or shot3384 through; whether518 it be beast929 or176 man,376 it shall not live:2421 when the trumpet3104 sounds long,4900 they shall come5927 up to the mount.2022

13 Нехай не доторкне́ться до неї рука, бо буде ко́нче вкамено́ваний, або буде справді застрілений, чи то худо́бина, чи то люди́на, — не буде жити вона. Як сурма засурмить протяжливо, вони вийдуть на го́ру“.

14 And Moses4872 went3381 down3381 from the mount2022 to the people,5971 and sanctified6942 the people;5971 and they washed3526 their clothes.8071

14 І зійшов Мойсей з гори до народу, і освятив народ, а вони ви́прали одежу свою.

15 And he said559 to the people,5971 Be ready3559 against the third7969 day:3117 come5066 not at413 your wives.802

15 І він сказав до народу: „Будьте готові на третій день; не входьте до жіно́к “.

16 And it came1961 to pass on the third7992 day3117 in the morning,1242 that there were thunders6963 and lightning,1300 and a thick3515 cloud6051 on the mount,2022 and the voice6963 of the trumpet7782 exceeding3966 loud;2389 so that all3605 the people5971 that was in the camp4264 trembled.2729

16 І сталося третього дня, коли ра́нок настав, — і знялися гро́ми та бли́скавки, і густа хмара над горою та сильний голос сурми! І затремтів увесь народ, що був у табо́рі...

17 And Moses4872 brought3318 forth3318 the people5971 out of the camp4264 to meet7125 with God;430 and they stood3320 at the nether8482 part of the mount.2022

17 І вивів Мойсей наро́д із табо́ру назустріч Богові, і вони стали під горою.

18 А гора Сіна́й — уся вона димува́ла через те, що Господь зійшов на неї в огні! І піднявся дим її, немов дим вапня́рки, і сильно затремтіла вся гора.

19 And when1961 the voice6963 of the trumpet7782 sounded1980 long, and waxed louder3966 and louder,3966 Moses4872 spoke,1696 and God430 answered6030 him by a voice.6963

19 І розлігся голос сурми́, і він сильно все могутнів: Мойсей говорить, а Бог відповідає йому голосно.

20 And the LORD3068 came3381 down3381 on mount2022 Sinai,5514 on413 the top7218 of the mount:2022 and the LORD3068 called7121 Moses4872 up to the top7218 of the mount;2022 and Moses4872 went5927 up.

20 І зійшов Господь на го́ру Сіна́й, на верхі́в'я гори. І покликав Господь Мойсея на верхів'я гори. І вийшов Мойсей.

21 And the LORD3068 said559 to Moses,4872 Go3381 down,3381 charge5749 the people,5971 lest6435 they break2040 through to the LORD3068 to gaze,7200 and many7227 of them perish.5307

21 І промовив Господь до Мойсея: „Зійди, остережи народ, щоб не рвався до Господа, щоб побачити, бо багато з нього загине.

22 And let the priests3548 also,1571 which come5066 near5066 to the LORD,3068 sanctify6942 themselves, lest6435 the LORD3068 break6555 forth on them.

22 А також священики, що будуть підходити до Господа, нехай перше освятяться, щоб Господь їх не повбива́в“.

23 And Moses4872 said559 to the LORD,3068 The people5971 cannot3808 3201 come5927 up to mount2022 Sinai:5514 for you charged5749 us, saying,559 Set bounds1379 about854 the mount,2022 and sanctify6942 it.

23 І сказав Мойсей до Господа: „Не зможе народ вийти на го́ру Сінай, бо Ти засві́дчив між нами, говорячи: Обведи границею цю го́ру, і освяти її“.

24 And the LORD3068 said559 to him, Away,3212 get3381 you down,3381 and you shall come5927 up, you, and Aaron175 with you: but let not the priests3548 and the people5971 break2040 through to come5927 up to the LORD,3068 lest6435 he break6555 forth on them.

24 І промовив до нього Господь: „Іди, зійди, а потім вийди ти й Аарон з тобою, а священики й народ нехай не рвуться до Господа, щоб Я не повбива́в їх.

25 So Moses4872 went3381 down3381 to the people,5971 and spoke559 to them.

25 І зійшов Мойсей до народу, і { сказав їм це все.
