2 Yet they seek1875 me daily,3117 and delight2654 to know1847 my ways,1870 as a nation1471 that did6213 righteousness,6666 and forsook5800 not the ordinance4941 of their God:430 they ask7592 of me the ordinances4941 of justice;6664 they take delight2654 in approaching7132 to God.430

4 Siehe, ihr8085 fastet6684, daß ihr hadert7379, und zanket4683 und schlaget5221 mit der Faust106 ungöttlich. Fastet6684 nicht also, wie ihr jetzt3117 tut, daß ein Geschrei6963 von euch in der Höhe4791 gehöret wird.

5 Is it such2088 a fast6685 that I have chosen?977 a day3117 for a man120 to afflict6031 his soul?5315 is it to bow3721 down his head7218 as a bulrush,100 and to spread3331 sackcloth8242 and ashes665 under him? will you call7121 this2088 a fast,6685 and an acceptable7522 day3117 to the LORD?3068

5 Sollte das2088 ein Fasten6685 sein, das ich3331 erwählen977 soll, daß ein Mensch120 seinem Leibe des Tages3117 übel tue6031, oder seinen Kopf7218 hänge3721 wie ein Schilf100, oder auf einem Sack8242 und in der5315 Asche665 liege? Wollt ihr das ein Fasten6685 nennen7121 und einen Tag3117 dem HErrn3068 angenehm7522?

6 Is not this2088 the fast6685 that I have chosen?977 to loose6605 the bands2784 of wickedness,7562 to undo5425 the heavy4133 burdens,92 and to let the oppressed7533 go7971 free,2670 and that you break5423 every3605 yoke?4133

6 Das ist7562 aber ein Fasten6685, das ich erwähle977: Laß7971 los6605, welche2784 du mit Unrecht verbunden hast4133; laß ledig5425, welche du beschwerest; gib frei2670, welche du drängest; reiß5423 weg allerlei Last;

7 Is it not to deal6536 your bread3899 to the hungry,7456 and that you bring935 the poor6041 that are cast4788 out to your house?1004 when3588 you see7200 the naked,6174 that you cover3680 him; and that you hide5956 not yourself from your own flesh?1320

7 brich6536 dem Hungrigen7457 dein Brot3899 und die, so im Elend6041 sind935, führe ins4788 Haus1004; so du7200 einen nackend siehest, so kleide ihn und entzeuch dich5956 nicht3680 von deinem Fleisch1320.

8 Then227 shall your light216 break1234 forth as the morning,7837 and your health724 shall spring6779 forth speedily:4120 and your righteousness6664 shall go1980 before6440 you; the glory3519 of the LORD3068 shall be your rear guard.622

8 Alsdann wird dein Licht216 hervorbrechen1234 wie die724 Morgenröte7837 und deine Besserung wird schnell4120 wachsen6779, und deine Gerechtigkeit6664 wird vor6440 dir her gehen1980, und die Herrlichkeit3519 des HErrn3068 wird dich zu sich nehmen622.

9 Then227 shall you call,7121 and the LORD3068 shall answer;6030 you shall cry,7768 and he shall say,559 Here2009 I am. If you take5493 away5493 from the middle8432 of you the yoke,4133 the putting7971 forth7971 of the finger,676 and speaking1696 vanity;205

9 Dann wirst du rufen, so wird7971 dir der HErr3068 antworten6030; wenn du wirst schreien7768, wird er5493 sagen559: Siehe, hie bin ich7121! So du niemand bei dir beschweren4133 wirst, noch mit8432 Fingern676 zeigen, noch übel205 reden1696,

10 And if you draw6329 out your soul5315 to the hungry,7456 and satisfy7646 the afflicted6031 soul;5315 then shall your light216 rise2224 in obscurity,2822 and your darkness653 be as the noon6672 day:

10 und wirst den Hungrigen7457 lassen finden6329 dein Herz5315 und die elende6031 See LE5315 sättigen7646, so wird dein Licht216 in Finsternis2822 aufgehen2224, und dein Dunkel653 wird sein wie der Mittag6672;

11 And the LORD3068 shall guide5148 you continually,8548 and satisfy7646 your soul5315 in drought,6710 and make fat2502 your bones:6106 and you shall be like a watered7302 garden,1588 and like a spring4161 of water,4325 whose834 waters4325 fail3576 not.

11 und der HErr3068 wird dich immerdar8548 führen5148 und deine See LE5315 sättigen7646 in der Dürre6710 und deine Gebeine6106 stärken2502, und wirst sein wie ein gewässerter7302 Garten1588 und wie eine Wasserquelle4161, welcher es nimmer an Wasser4325 fehlet.

12 And they that shall be of you shall build1129 the old5769 waste2723 places: you shall raise6965 up the foundations4146 of many generations;1755 and you shall be called,7121 The repairer1443 of the breach,6556 The restorer7725 of paths5410 to dwell3427 in.

12 Und1129 soll durch dich3427 gebauet werden6965, was lange wüste gelegen ist, und2723 wirst Grund4146 legen, der für5769 und für1755 bleibe, und sollst7725 heißen7121: Der die Lücken6556 verzäunet und die Wege5410 bessert, daß man da wohnen möge.

13 If518 you turn7725 away your foot7272 from the sabbath,7676 from doing6213 your pleasure2656 on my holy6944 day;3117 and call7121 the sabbath7676 a delight,6027 the holy6918 of the LORD,3068 honorable;3513 and shall honor3513 him, not doing6213 your own ways,1870 nor finding4672 your own pleasure,2656 nor speaking1696 your own words:1697

13 So du deinen Fuß von dem Sabbat7676 kehrest, daß du nicht2656 tust, was1697 dir gefällt an meinem heiligen6944 Tage3117, so wird‘s4672 ein lustiger Sabbat7676 heißen7121, den HErrn3068 zu6213 heiligen6918 und7272 zu6213 preisen3513. Denn so wirst du denselbigen preisen3513, wenn du nicht2656 tust deine Wege1870, noch darin erfunden werde7725, was dir gefällt, oder was du redest1696.

14 Then227 shall you delight6026 yourself in the LORD;3068 and I will cause you to ride7392 on the high1116 places of the earth,776 and feed398 you with the heritage5159 of Jacob3290 your father:1 for the mouth6310 of the LORD3068 has spoken1696 it.

14 Alsdann wirst du1696 Lust6026 haben398 am HErrn3068, und ich will dich über die Höhen1116 auf Erden776 schweben lassen7392 und will dich speisen mit dem Erbe5159 deines Vaters1 Jakob3290; denn des HErrn3068 Mund sagt6310 es.
