1 When3588 you go3318 out to battle4421 against5921 your enemies,341 and see7200 horses,5483 and chariots,7393 and a people5971 more7227 than you, be not afraid3372 of them: for the LORD3068 your God430 is with you, which834 brought5927 you up out of the land776 of Egypt.4714

1 Wenn du in einen Krieg4421 zeuchst wider deine Feinde341 und siehest Rosse5483 und Wagen7393 des Volks5971, das776 größer7227 sei, denn du, so fürchte3372 dich nicht vor ihnen; denn der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, der dich aus3318 Ägyptenland4714 geführet hat5927, ist7200 mir dir.

2 And it shall be, when you are come7126 near7126 to the battle,4421 that the priest3548 shall approach5066 and speak1696 to the people,5971
|
2 Wenn ihr nun hinzukommt zum Streit4421, so soll der Priester herzutreten7126 und3548 mit dem Volk5971 reden1696
|
|
3 And shall say559 to them, Hear,8085 O Israel,3478 you approach7126 this day3117 to battle4421 against5921 your enemies:341 let not your hearts3824 faint,7401 fear3372 not, and do not tremble,2648 neither408 be you terrified6206 because6440 of them;
|
3 und zu8085 ihnen sprechen559: Israel3478, höre zu! Ihr gehet heute3117 in7131 den Streit4421 wider eure Feinde341. Euer Herz3824 verzage nicht7401; fürchtet euch3372 nicht2648 und erschrecket nicht und lasset euch nicht grauen6206 vor6440 ihnen;

4 For the LORD3068 your God430 is he that goes1980 with you, to fight3898 for you against5973 your enemies,341 to save3467 you.
|
4 denn der HErr3068, euer GOtt430, gehet mit euch1980, daß er für euch streite3898 mit euren Feinden341, euch zu helfen3467.
|
|
5 And the officers7860 shall speak1696 to the people,5971 saying,559 What4310 man376 is there that has built1129 a new2319 house,1004 and has not dedicated2596 it? let him go3212 and return7725 to his house,1004 lest6435 he die4191 in the battle,4421 and another312 man376 dedicate2596 it.

5 Aber die Amtleute7860 sollen mit dem Volk5971 reden1696 und sagen559: Welcher ein376 neu Haus1004 gebauet hat und hat‘s noch nicht eingeweihet, der gehe3212 hin und bleibe7725 in seinem Hause1004, auf daß er1129 nicht sterbe4191 im Krieg4421, und ein anderer312 weihe es ein.

6 And what4310 man376 is he that has planted5193 a vineyard,3754 and has not yet eaten2490 of it? let him also go3212 and return7725 to his house,1004 lest6435 he die4191 in the battle,4421 and another312 man376 eat2490 of it.

6 Welcher einen312 Weinberg3754 gepflanzet hat5193 und hat2490 ihn4421 noch nicht gemein gemacht, der gehe3212 hin und bleibe7725 daheim1004, daß er376 nicht im Kriege sterbe4191, und ein376 anderer mache ihn gemein.

7 And what4310 man376 is there that has betrothed781 a wife,802 and has not taken3947 her? let him go3212 and return7725 to his house,1004 lest6435 he die4191 in the battle,4421 and another312 man376 take3947 her.

7 Welcher ein376 Weib802 ihm vertrauet hat781 und hat3947 sie noch nicht heimgeholet, der gehe3212 hin und bleibe7725 daheim1004, daß er nicht im Kriege4421 sterbe4191, und ein376 anderer312 hole3947 sie heim.

8 And the officers7860 shall speak1696 further3254 to the people,5971 and they shall say,559 What4310 man376 is there that is fearful3373 and fainthearted?7390 let him go3212 and return7725 to his house,1004 lest6435 his brethren's251 heart3824 faint4549 as well as his heart.3824
|
8 Und die Amtleute7860 sollen weiter mit dem Volk5971 reden1696 und sprechen559: Welcher sich7725 fürchtet3373 und ein376 verzagtes Herz3824 hat, der gehe3212 hin und bleibe daheim1004, auf daß er nicht3254 auch seiner Brüder251 Herz3824 feige mache, wie sein Herz3824 ist4549.

9 And it shall be, when the officers7860 have made an end3615 of speaking1696 to the people 5971that they shall make captains8269 of the armies6635 to lead7218 the people.5971
|
9 Und wenn die Amtleute7860 ausgeredet1696 haben3615 mit dem Volk5971, so sollen sie6485 die Hauptleute8269 vor das Volk5971 an die Spitze7218 stellen.

10 When3588 you come7126 near7126 to a city5892 to fight3898 against5921 it, then proclaim7121 peace7965 to it.
|
10 Wenn du vor eine Stadt5892 zeuchst, sie7121 zu bestreiten3898, so sollst du ihr7126 den Frieden7965 anbieten.
|
|
11 And it shall be, if518 it make you answer6030 of peace,7965 and open6605 to you, then it shall be, that all3605 the people5971 that is found4672 therein shall be tributaries4522 to you, and they shall serve5647 you.
|
11 Antwortet6030 sie dir friedlich7965 und tut dir auf6605, so soll all das Volk5971, das drinnen funden wird4672, dir zinsbar4522 und untertan sein5647.

12 And if518 it will make no3808 peace7999 with you, but will make war4421 against5973 you, then you shall besiege6696 it:
|
12 Will sie6696 aber nicht friedlich7999 mit dir handeln6213 und will mit dir kriegen4421, so belagere sie.
|
|
13 And when the LORD3068 your God430 has delivered5414 it into your hands,3027 you shall smite5221 every3605 male2138 thereof with the edge6310 of the sword:2719
|
13 Und wenn sie der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, dir in die Hand3027 gibt5414, so sollst du alles; was männlich2138 drinnen ist, mit des Schwerts2719 Schärfe6310 schlagen5221;
|
|
14 But the women,802 and the little2945 ones, and the cattle,929 and all3605 that is in the city,5892 even all3605 the spoil7998 thereof, shall you take962 to yourself; and you shall eat398 the spoil7998 of your enemies,341 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 has given5414 you.
|
14 ohne die Weiber802, Kinder2945 und Vieh929 und alles, was in der Stadt5892 ist7998, und allen Raub7998 sollst du unter dich austeilen962; und sollst essen398 von der Ausbeute deiner Feinde341, die dir der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, gegeben5414 hat.

15 Thus3651 shall you do6213 to all3605 the cities5892 which are very3966 far7350 off from you, which834 are not of the cities5892 of these428 2007 nations.1471
|
15 Also sollst du allen Städten5892 tun6213, die sehr3966 ferne7350 von dir liegen2007 und nicht hie von den Städten5892 sind dieser Völker1471.
|
|
16 But of the cities5892 of these428 people,5971 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 does give5414 you for an inheritance,5159 you shall save2421 alive2421 nothing3808 3605 that breathes:5397
|
16 Aber in den Städten5892 dieser Völker5971, die dir der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, zum Erbe5159 geben5414 wird, sollst du nichts leben lassen2421, was den Odem5397 hat,

17 But you shall utterly destroy2763 them; namely, the Hittites,2850 and the Amorites,567 the Canaanites,3669 and the Perizzites,6522 the Hivites,2340 and the Jebusites;2983 as the LORD3068 your God430 has commanded6680 you:
|
17 sondern sollst sie2763 verbannen2763, nämlich die Hethiter2850, Amoriter567, Kanaaniter3669, Pheresiter6522, Heviter2340 und Jebusiter2983, wie dir der HErr3068, dein GOtt430, geboten6680 hat,
|
|
18 That they teach3925 you not to do6213 after all3605 their abominations,8441 which834 they have done to their gods;430 so should you sin2398 against the LORD3068 your God.430
|
18 auf daß sie euch2398 nicht lehren3925 tun6213 alle die Greuel8441, die sie ihren Göttern tun6213, und430 ihr euch versündiget an dem HErrn3068, eurem GOtt430.
|
|
19 When3588 you shall besiege6696 a city5892 a long7227 time,3117 in making war3898 against5921 it to take8610 it, you shall not destroy7843 the trees6086 thereof by forcing5080 an ax1631 against5921 them: for you may eat398 of them, and you shall not cut3772 them down (for the tree6086 of the field7704 is man's120 life) to employ935 6440 them in the siege:4692

19 Wenn du vor einer Stadt5892 lange7227 Zeit3117 liegen mußt, wider die du streitest3898, sie6696 zu erobern8610, so sollst du die Bäume6086 nicht verderben7843, daß du mit Äxten1631 dran fahrest; denn du kannst davon essen398, darum sollst du sie nicht ausrotten3772. Ist‘s935 doch Holz6086 auf dem Felde7704 und nicht Mensch120, daß es vor dir ein Bollwerk4692 sein möge.

20 Only7535 the trees6086 which834 you know3045 that they be not trees6086 for meat,3978 you shall destroy7843 and cut3772 them down; and you shall build1129 bulwarks4692 against5921 the city5892 that makes6213 war4421 with you, until5704 it be subdued.3381

20 Welches aber Bäume6086 sind3381, die du weißt, daß man nicht davon isset, die sollst3045 du verderben7843 und6086 ausrotten3772 und6213 Bollwerk4692 draus bauen1129 wider die Stadt5892, die mit dir krieget, bis daß du ihrer mächtig werdest.
