1 Dies ist das776 Wort1697, das776 zu Jeremia3414 geschah an alle Juden3064, so in Ägyptenland4714 wohneten, nämlich zu Migdal, zu Thachpanhes8471, zu Noph5297 und die3427 im Lande Pathros6624 wohneten, und sprach559:

2 So spricht der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478: Ihr3427 habt gesehen7200 all das Übel7451, das ich habe kommen lassen über Jerusalem3389 und2723 über alle Städte5892 in Juda3063; und siehe, heutigestages3117 sind935 sie559 wüst, und wohnet niemand drinnen;

3 und5647 das um ihrer Bosheit7451 willen, die sie taten6213, daß sie mich6440 erzürneten und430 hingingen3212 und räucherten6999 und dieneten andern312 Göttern, welche weder sie noch ihr3045 noch eure Väter1 kannten.

4 Und ich sandte7971 stets7925 zu6213 euch alle meine Knechte5650, die Propheten5030, und ließ7971 euch sagen559: Tut doch nicht solche1697 Greuel8441, die ich hasse8130!

5 Aber sie7725 gehorchten8085 nicht, neigten auch ihre Ohren241 von ihrer Bosheit7451 nicht, daß sie sich5186 bekehreten und430 andern312 Göttern nicht geräuchert6999 hätten.

6 Darum ging5413 auch mein Zorn639 und2723 Grimm2534 an und entbrannte1197 über die Städte5892 Judas und über die Gassen2351 zu Jerusalem3389, daß sie zur Wüste8077 und öde worden sind, wie es heutigestages3117 stehet.

7 Nun, so spricht559 der HErr3068, der GOtt430 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478: Warum tut6213 ihr doch so groß1419 Übel7451 wider euer eigen Leben, damit unter8432 euch5315 ausgerottet werde beide, Mann376 und Weib802, beide, Kind5768 und Säugling3243 aus3772 Juda3063, und nichts von euch überbleibe,

8 daß ihr mich so erzürnet3707 durch935 eurer Hände3027 Werk4639 und430 räuchert6999 andern312 Göttern in Ägyptenland4714, dahin ihr gezogen seid, daselbst zu herbergen1481, auf daß ihr ausgerottet3772 und776 zum Fluch7045 und Schmach2781 werdet unter allen Heiden1471 auf Erden776?

9 Habt ihr vergessen7911 des Unglücks7451 eurer Väter1, des Unglücks7451 der Könige4428 Judas, des Unglücks7451 ihrer Weiber802, dazu eures eigenen Unglücks7451 und eurer Weiber802 Unglücks7451, das776 euch begegnet ist im Lande Juda3063 und auf den Gassen2351 zu6213 Jerusalem3389?

10 Noch sind1980 sie bis auf6440 diesen Tag3117 nicht gedemütiget, fürchten sich3372 auch nicht und wandeln nicht in6440 meinem Gesetz8451 und Rechten2708, die ich euch und euren Vätern1 vorgestellet habe5414.

11 Darum spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478, also: Siehe, ich will mein Angesicht6440 wider euch richten zum Unglück7451, und7760 ganz Juda3063 soll ausgerottet werden3772.

12 Und776 ich will935 die Übrigen7611 aus Juda3063 nehmen3947, so ihr Angesicht gerichtet haben, nach Ägyptenland776 zu ziehen, daß sie daselbst7760 herbergen1481; es soll ein Ende mit ihnen allen werden8552 in6440 Ägyptenland4714. Durchs Schwert2719 sollen sie fallen5307 und8047 durch Hunger7458 sollen sie umkommen, beide, klein6996 und groß1419; sie sollen durch Schwert2719 und Hunger7458 sterben4191 und sollen ein Schwur7045, Wunder, Fluch423 und Schmach2781 werden8552.

13 Ich will auch die Einwohner3427 in Ägyptenland776 mit dem Schwert2719, Hunger7458 und Pestilenz1698 heimsuchen6485, gleichwie ich zu Jerusalem3389 getan habe,

14 daß aus den5315 Übrigen7611 Judas keiner8300 soll entrinnen6412 noch überbleiben, die doch darum hieher kommen sind935 nach Ägyptenland4714 zur Herberge, daß sie3427 wiederum7725 ins Land776 Juda3063 kommen möchten, dahin sie gerne wollten5375 wiederkommen7725 und776 wohnen1481; aber es soll keiner wieder7725 dahin kommen, ohne welche von hinnen fliehen6405.

15 Da antworteten6030 dem Jeremia3414 alle Männer582, die3427 da wohl wußten3045, daß ihre Weiber802 andern312 Göttern räucherten6999, und430 alle Weiber802, so mit großem1419 Haufen6951 dastunden, samt allem Volk5971, die in Ägyptenland776 wohneten und in Pathros6624, und sprachen559:

16 Nach dem Wort1697, das du1696 im Namen8034 des HErrn3068 uns8085 sagest, wollen wir dir nicht gehorchen,

17 sondern wir wollen tun6213 nach all dem Wort1697, das aus3318 unserm Munde6310 gehet, und wollen Melecheth des Himmels8064 räuchern6999 und derselbigen Trankopfer5262 opfern5258, wie2896 wir und unsere Väter1, unsere Könige4428 und Fürsten8269 getan6213 haben in den Städten5892 Judas und auf den Gassen2351 zu Jerusalem3389. Da hatten6213 wir auch Brot3899 genug7646 und ging uns wohl und sahen7200 kein Unglück7451.

18 Seit der Zeit7458 aber wir haben abgelassen2308, Melecheth des Himmels8064 zu räuchern6999 und8552 Trankopfer5262 zu opfern5258, haben wir allen Mangel2637 gelitten und sind durch Schwert2719 und Hunger umkommen.

19 Auch wenn wir582 Melecheth des Himmels8064 räuchern6999 und Trankopfer5262 opfern5258, das tun6213 wir ja nicht1107 ohne unserer Männer Willen, daß wir derselbigen Kuchen3561 backen und Trankopfer5262 opfern5258, sie zu bekümmern6087.

20 Da sprach559 Jeremia3414 zum ganzen Volk5971, beide, Männern1397 und559 Weibern802, und allem Volk5971, die ihm so geantwortet hatten6030:

21 Ich meine7002 ja, der HErr3068 habe gedacht2142 an das776 Räuchern6999, so ihr in den Städten5892 Judas und auf5927 den Gassen2351 zu Jerusalem3389 getrieben habt, samt euren Vätern1 Königen4428, Fürsten8269 und allem Volk5971 im Lande, und hat‘s zu Herzen3820 genommen,

22 daß er nicht mehr leiden konnte3201 euren6440 bösen7455 Wandel4611 und3068 Greuel8441, die ihr3427 tatet; daher auch euer Land776 zur Wüste, zum Wunder und zum Fluch7045 worden ist5375, daß niemand drinnen wohnet, wie6440 es heutigestages3117 stehet.

23 Darum daß ihr8085 geräuchert6999 habt und wider den HErrn3068 gesündiget und der Stimme6963 des HErrn3068 nicht7451 gehorchet und in seinem Gesetz8451, Rechten2708 und Zeugnis nicht gewandelt1980 habt, darum ist auch euch2398 solch Unglück widerfahren7122, wie834 es heutigestages3117 stehet.

24 Und Jeremia3414 sprach559 zu8085 allem Volk5971 und zu allen Weibern802: Höret des HErrn3068 Wort1697, alle ihr aus Juda3063, so in Ägyptenland776 sind!

25 So spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478: Ihr und559 eure Weiber802 habt mit eurem Munde6310 geredet und mit euren Händen3027 vollbracht, daß ihr saget1696: Wir wollen unsere Gelübde5088 halten6965, die wir gelobet haben5087 Melecheth des Himmels8064, daß wir derselbigen räuchern6999 und Trankopfer5262 opfern5258. Wohlan, ihr habt eure Gelübde5088 erfüllet und eure Gelübde5088 gehalten.

26 So höret nun des HErrn3069 Wort1697, ihr3427 alle2416 aus Juda3063, die8034 ihr in Ägyptenland776 wohnet! Siehe, ich schwöre7650 bei meinem großen1419 Namen8034, spricht559 der HErr3068, daß mein Name nicht mehr soll durch einiges Menschen376 Mund6310 aus Juda3063 genannt7121 werden8085 im ganzen Ägyptenland4714, der da sage559: So wahr der HErr3068 HErr136 lebet!

27 Siehe, ich will über sie wachen8245 zum Unglück7451 und zu keinem Guten2896, daß, wer aus8552 Juda3063 in Ägyptenland776 ist, soll durchs Schwert2719 und Hunger7458 umkommen, bis es ein376 Ende3615 mit ihnen habe.

28 Welche aber dem Schwert2719 entrinnen6412, die werden4557 doch aus Ägyptenland4714 ins Land776 Juda3063 wiederkommen7725 müssen mit geringem Haufen. Und776 also werden6965 dann alle die Übrigen7611 aus Juda3063, so nach Ägyptenland776 gezogen waren935, daß sie daselbst1481 herbergeten, erfahren3045, wes Wort1697 wahr worden sei, meines oder ihres.

29 Und zum Zeichen226, spricht5002 der HErr3068, daß ich euch an diesem Ort4725 heimsuchen will, damit ihr3045 wisset, daß mein Wort1697 soll6965 wahr werden6965 über6485 euch zu m Unglück7451,

30 so spricht559 der HErr3068 also: Siehe, ich will Pharao Haphra, den König4428 in Ägypten4714, übergeben in die Hände3027 seiner Feinde341 und5414 derer, die ihm3027 nach seinem Leben5315 stehen1245, gleichwie ich Zedekia6667, den König4428 Judas, übergeben habe5414 in die Hand3027 Nebukadnezars5019, des Königs4428 zu Babel894, seines Feindes341, und der ihm nach seinem Leben5315 stund.

1 THE word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD to prophesy concerning all the Jews who dwell in the land of Egypt: those who dwell at Migdol and at Tahpanhes and at Memphis and in the land of Pathros, saying,

2 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: You have seen all the calamity that I have brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of Judah; and behold, this day they are desolate, and no man dwells in them

3 Because of the wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went and burned incense to other gods, whom they knew not, neither they nor their fathers.

4 And I sent to them all my servants the prophets, in advance, saying. Oh, do not do this abominable thing that I hate.

5 But they did not hearken nor incline their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense to other gods.

6 Therefore my fury and my anger were poured forth and a fire was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they became a desolation and an astonishment, as they are today.

7 And now thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Why do you commit this great evil against yourselves, to cut off from you man and woman, the young and the little one out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;

8 And thus have provoked me to anger with the works of your hands, and have burned incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have come to dwell, so that I may destroy you, and you shall become a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

9 Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers and the wickedness of the kings of Judah and the wickedness of their wives which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

10 They have not cleansed themselves even to this day, neither have they feared nor have they served me nor walked in my law nor in my statutes which I set before them and before their fathers.

11 Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will set my face against you for evil to destroy the whole house of Judah.

12 And I will crush the remnant of Judah who have set their faces to enter into the land of Egypt to live there, and they shall all be consumed in the land of Egypt; they shall die by sword and by famine and by pestilence; and they shall be an execration and an astonishment and a curse and a reproach.

13 For I will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by sword, by famine, and by pestilence;

14 So that none of the remnant of Judah, who are gone into the land of Egypt to live there shall escape or remain that they may return to the land of Judah to which they hope to return to dwell there; and only a few shall return.

15 Then all the men who knew that their wives were burning incense to other gods and all the women who stood by, a great multitude, and all the people who dwelt in the land of Egypt and in Pathros answered Jeremiah, saying,

16 As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD, we will not listen to you.

17 But we will certainly do every word that has gone forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well and saw no evil.

18 But since we left off burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her we have lacked everything and have been consumed by sword and by famine.

19 And all the women said, When we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, it was not without our husbands' consent; nor without their knowledge did we make cakes for her and pour out drink offerings to her.

20 Then Jeremiah said to all the people, to the men and to the women and to all the people who had given him that answer, saying,

21 The incense that you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes and the people of the land, it was that incense that the LORD has remembered, and it has come into his mind.

22 So that the LORD could no longer forgive you because of your evil doings and because of the abomination which you have committed; therefore your land has become an astonishment and a curse and a desolation without an inhabitant, as it is this day.

23 It is because you have burned incense and because: you have sinned against the LORD and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD nor walked in his law nor in his statutes nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil has overtaken you, as it is this day.

24 Moreover Jeremiah said to all the people, to men and women, Hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah who are in the land of Egypt;

25 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: You and your wives have both spoken with your mouths and fulfilled with your hands, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her; you have surely confirmed your oaths and performed your vows.

26 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any men of Judah in all the land of Egypt, nor shall they say, The LORD God lives.

27 For I will hasten to bring evil upon them, says the LORD; and all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by sword and by famine and by pestilence until I annihilate them.

28 And of those who escape the sword a few shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah who are gone to the land of Egypt to dwell there shall know whose words shall stand, mine or theirs.

29 And this shall be a sign to you, says the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil.

30 Thus says the LORD: Behold, I will deliver Pharaoh the Lame, the king of Egypt, into the hand of his enemies and into the hand of those who seek his life, as I delivered Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, who sought his life.

19 And all the women said, When we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, it was not without our husbands' consent; nor without their knowledge did we make cakes for her and pour out drink offerings to her.

20 Da sprach559 Jeremia3414 zum ganzen Volk5971, beide, Männern1397 und559 Weibern802, und allem Volk5971, die ihm so geantwortet hatten6030:

20 Then Jeremiah said to all the people, to the men and to the women and to all the people who had given him that answer, saying,

21 Ich meine7002 ja, der HErr3068 habe gedacht2142 an das776 Räuchern6999, so ihr in den Städten5892 Judas und auf5927 den Gassen2351 zu Jerusalem3389 getrieben habt, samt euren Vätern1 Königen4428, Fürsten8269 und allem Volk5971 im Lande, und hat‘s zu Herzen3820 genommen,

21 The incense that you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes and the people of the land, it was that incense that the LORD has remembered, and it has come into his mind.

22 daß er nicht mehr leiden konnte3201 euren6440 bösen7455 Wandel4611 und3068 Greuel8441, die ihr3427 tatet; daher auch euer Land776 zur Wüste, zum Wunder und zum Fluch7045 worden ist5375, daß niemand drinnen wohnet, wie6440 es heutigestages3117 stehet.

22 So that the LORD could no longer forgive you because of your evil doings and because of the abomination which you have committed; therefore your land has become an astonishment and a curse and a desolation without an inhabitant, as it is this day.

23 Darum daß ihr8085 geräuchert6999 habt und wider den HErrn3068 gesündiget und der Stimme6963 des HErrn3068 nicht7451 gehorchet und in seinem Gesetz8451, Rechten2708 und Zeugnis nicht gewandelt1980 habt, darum ist auch euch2398 solch Unglück widerfahren7122, wie834 es heutigestages3117 stehet.

23 It is because you have burned incense and because: you have sinned against the LORD and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD nor walked in his law nor in his statutes nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil has overtaken you, as it is this day.

24 Und Jeremia3414 sprach559 zu8085 allem Volk5971 und zu allen Weibern802: Höret des HErrn3068 Wort1697, alle ihr aus Juda3063, so in Ägyptenland776 sind!

24 Moreover Jeremiah said to all the people, to men and women, Hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah who are in the land of Egypt;

25 So spricht559 der HErr3068 Zebaoth6635, der GOtt430 Israels3478: Ihr und559 eure Weiber802 habt mit eurem Munde6310 geredet und mit euren Händen3027 vollbracht, daß ihr saget1696: Wir wollen unsere Gelübde5088 halten6965, die wir gelobet haben5087 Melecheth des Himmels8064, daß wir derselbigen räuchern6999 und Trankopfer5262 opfern5258. Wohlan, ihr habt eure Gelübde5088 erfüllet und eure Gelübde5088 gehalten.

25 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: You and your wives have both spoken with your mouths and fulfilled with your hands, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her; you have surely confirmed your oaths and performed your vows.

26 So höret nun des HErrn3069 Wort1697, ihr3427 alle2416 aus Juda3063, die8034 ihr in Ägyptenland776 wohnet! Siehe, ich schwöre7650 bei meinem großen1419 Namen8034, spricht559 der HErr3068, daß mein Name nicht mehr soll durch einiges Menschen376 Mund6310 aus Juda3063 genannt7121 werden8085 im ganzen Ägyptenland4714, der da sage559: So wahr der HErr3068 HErr136 lebet!

26 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any men of Judah in all the land of Egypt, nor shall they say, The LORD God lives.

27 Siehe, ich will über sie wachen8245 zum Unglück7451 und zu keinem Guten2896, daß, wer aus8552 Juda3063 in Ägyptenland776 ist, soll durchs Schwert2719 und Hunger7458 umkommen, bis es ein376 Ende3615 mit ihnen habe.

27 For I will hasten to bring evil upon them, says the LORD; and all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by sword and by famine and by pestilence until I annihilate them.

28 Welche aber dem Schwert2719 entrinnen6412, die werden4557 doch aus Ägyptenland4714 ins Land776 Juda3063 wiederkommen7725 müssen mit geringem Haufen. Und776 also werden6965 dann alle die Übrigen7611 aus Juda3063, so nach Ägyptenland776 gezogen waren935, daß sie daselbst1481 herbergeten, erfahren3045, wes Wort1697 wahr worden sei, meines oder ihres.

28 And of those who escape the sword a few shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah who are gone to the land of Egypt to dwell there shall know whose words shall stand, mine or theirs.

29 Und zum Zeichen226, spricht5002 der HErr3068, daß ich euch an diesem Ort4725 heimsuchen will, damit ihr3045 wisset, daß mein Wort1697 soll6965 wahr werden6965 über6485 euch zu m Unglück7451,

29 And this shall be a sign to you, says the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil.

30 so spricht559 der HErr3068 also: Siehe, ich will Pharao Haphra, den König4428 in Ägypten4714, übergeben in die Hände3027 seiner Feinde341 und5414 derer, die ihm3027 nach seinem Leben5315 stehen1245, gleichwie ich Zedekia6667, den König4428 Judas, übergeben habe5414 in die Hand3027 Nebukadnezars5019, des Königs4428 zu Babel894, seines Feindes341, und der ihm nach seinem Leben5315 stund.

30 Thus says the LORD: Behold, I will deliver Pharaoh the Lame, the king of Egypt, into the hand of his enemies and into the hand of those who seek his life, as I delivered Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, who sought his life.
