2 „Візьміть собі з народу дванадцять мужі́в, по одно́му му́жеві з пле́мени. |
|
3 І накажете їм, говорячи: Винесіть звідси, із сере́дини Йорда́ну, із місця, де міцно стояли ноги священиків, дванадцять ка́менів, і перенесе́те їх із собою, і покладете їх на нічлі́гу, що в ньому будете ночувати цієї ночі“. |
|
4 І покликав Ісус тих дванадцятьох мужів, що настановив з Ізраїлевих синів, по одному му́жеві з пле́мени, |
|
5 та й сказав їм Ісус: „Підіть перед ковче́гом Господа, Бога вашого, до сере́дини Йорда́ну, і підійміть собі кожен на плече́ своє одно́го ка́меня за числом племе́н Ізраїлевих синів, |
|
6 щоб то було́ знаком між вами, коли взавтра запитають ваші сини, говорячи: Що це в вас за камі́ння? |
|
7 то скажете їм, що була́ відді́лена йорда́нська вода перед ковчегом Господнього заповіту, — коли він перехо́див в Йорда́ні, була відді́лена йорда́нська вода. І будуть ті камі́ння за па́м'ятку для Ізра́їлевих синів аж навіки“. |
|
8 І зробили Ізра́їлеві сини так, як наказав Ісус, — і поне́сли вони дванадцять ка́менів із сере́дини Йорда́ну, як говорив Господь до Ісуса, за числом племен Ізраїлевих синів. І перене́сли їх із собою до нічлі́гу, та й поклали їх там. |

9 А інших дванадцять ка́менів поставив Ісус в сере́дині Йорда́ну на місці, де стояли но́ги священиків, що несли ковчега заповіту, — і вони там аж до дня цього. |
|
10 А священики, що не́сли ковчега, стояли в сере́дині Йорда́ну аж до закі́нчення всього, що Господь наказав був Ісусові сказати наро́дові, згідно з усім тим, що наказав був Мойсей Ісусові. А народ ква́пився і перехо́див. |
|
11 І сталося, як увесь народ скінчи́в перехо́дити, то перейшов Господній ковчег та священики перед наро́дом. |
|
12 І перейшли́ Руви́мові сини й сини Ґадові та половина пле́мени Манасі́їного, озбро́єні до бо́ю, перед Ізраїлевими синами, як Мойсей говорив був до них. |
|
13 Коло сорока тисяч озбро́єних вояків перейшли перед Господнім лицем на війну до єрихо́нських степі́в. |
|
14 Того дня звели́чив Господь Ісуса на оча́х усього Ізраїля, і стали боятися його, як боялися Мойсея по всі дні його життя. |
|
15 І сказав Господь до Ісуса, говорячи: |
|
16 „Накажи священикам, що носять ковче́га запові́ту, і нехай вони вийдуть з Йорда́ну“. |
|
17 І наказав Ісус священикам, говорячи: „Вийдіть з Йорда́ну!“ |
|
18 І сталося, коли священики, що не́сли ковчега Господнього заповіту, вийшли з сере́дини Йорда́ну, а сто́пи ніг священиків відірвалися від нього, щоб стати на сухо́му, то вода Йорда́ну верну́лася на своє місце, і пішла, як учора-позавчора, по всіх його берега́х. |
|
19 А народ вийшов із Йорда́ну десятого дня першого місяця, та й таборува́в у Ґілґа́лі, на схі́дньому боці Єрихо́ну. |
|
20 А дванадцять тих ка́менів, що взяли́ з Йорда́ну, Ісус поставив у Ґілґалі. |
|
21 І сказав він до Ізра́їлевих синів, говорячи: „Коли взавтра запитають вас ваші сини своїх батькі́в, говорячи: Що це за камі́ння? |
|
22 то познайо́мте ваших синів, говорячи: По сухому перейшов був Ізраїль цей Йорда́н, |
|
23 бо Господь, Бог ваш, висушив воду Йорда́ну перед вами, аж поки ви не перейшли́, як зробив був Господь, Бог ваш, морю Червоному, яке Він висушив перед нами, аж поки ми не перейшли́, |
|
24 щоб усі наро́ди землі пізнали ру́ку Господню, що сильна́ вона, щоб боялися ви Го́спода, Бога вашого, по всі дні“. |

1 AND when all the people had finished passing over the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua, |
|
2 Take twelve men from the people, a man out of every tribe, |
|
3 And command them, saying, Take from here out of the midst of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood, twelve stones, and you shall carry them over with you, and lay them in the lodging place where you lodge this night. |
|
4 Then Joshua called the twelve men who were selected from the children of Israel, out of each tribe a man; |
|
5 And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel; |
|
6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones? |
|
7 Then you shall tell them, The waters of the Jordan were divided before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when we passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were divided; and these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel for ever. |
|
8 And the children of Israel did as Joshua commanded them, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as the LORD had said to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there. |
|
9 And they set up the twelve stones which they had taken out of the midst of the Jordan, where stood the feet of the priests who were bearing the ark of the covenant; and they are there to this day. |
|
10 And the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to tell to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people made haste and passed over. |
|
11 And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the LORD and the priests passed over before the people. |
|
12 Then the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses had told them; |
|
13 About forty thousand men armed for war passed over before the LORD to battle, to the plains of Jericho. |
|
14 On that very day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life. |
|
15 And the LORD said to Joshua, |
|
16 Command the priests who bear the ark of the testimony to come up out of the Jordan. |
|
17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come up out of the Jordan. |
|
18 And when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up out of the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet rested firm on the dry land, the waters of the Jordan rushed to their place, and overflowed all its banks, as they did before. |
|
19 And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho. |
|
20 And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan. Joshua set up at Gilgal. |
|
21 And he said to the children of Israel, When your children shall ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones? |
|
22 Then you shall explain them to your children, and say to them, The children of Israel crossed this Jordan on dry land. |
|
23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before them, until they passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us until we passed over; |
|
24 So that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, and that you may worship the LORD your God for ever. |

1 AND when all the people had finished passing over the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua, |
|
2 „Візьміть собі з народу дванадцять мужі́в, по одно́му му́жеві з пле́мени. |
2 Take twelve men from the people, a man out of every tribe, |
|
3 І накажете їм, говорячи: Винесіть звідси, із сере́дини Йорда́ну, із місця, де міцно стояли ноги священиків, дванадцять ка́менів, і перенесе́те їх із собою, і покладете їх на нічлі́гу, що в ньому будете ночувати цієї ночі“. |
3 And command them, saying, Take from here out of the midst of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood, twelve stones, and you shall carry them over with you, and lay them in the lodging place where you lodge this night. |

4 І покликав Ісус тих дванадцятьох мужів, що настановив з Ізраїлевих синів, по одному му́жеві з пле́мени, |
4 Then Joshua called the twelve men who were selected from the children of Israel, out of each tribe a man; |
|
5 та й сказав їм Ісус: „Підіть перед ковче́гом Господа, Бога вашого, до сере́дини Йорда́ну, і підійміть собі кожен на плече́ своє одно́го ка́меня за числом племе́н Ізраїлевих синів, |
5 And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel; |

6 щоб то було́ знаком між вами, коли взавтра запитають ваші сини, говорячи: Що це в вас за камі́ння? |
6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones? |
|
7 то скажете їм, що була́ відді́лена йорда́нська вода перед ковчегом Господнього заповіту, — коли він перехо́див в Йорда́ні, була відді́лена йорда́нська вода. І будуть ті камі́ння за па́м'ятку для Ізра́їлевих синів аж навіки“. |
7 Then you shall tell them, The waters of the Jordan were divided before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when we passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were divided; and these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel for ever. |

8 І зробили Ізра́їлеві сини так, як наказав Ісус, — і поне́сли вони дванадцять ка́менів із сере́дини Йорда́ну, як говорив Господь до Ісуса, за числом племен Ізраїлевих синів. І перене́сли їх із собою до нічлі́гу, та й поклали їх там. |
8 And the children of Israel did as Joshua commanded them, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as the LORD had said to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there. |

9 А інших дванадцять ка́менів поставив Ісус в сере́дині Йорда́ну на місці, де стояли но́ги священиків, що несли ковчега заповіту, — і вони там аж до дня цього. |
9 And they set up the twelve stones which they had taken out of the midst of the Jordan, where stood the feet of the priests who were bearing the ark of the covenant; and they are there to this day. |
|
10 А священики, що не́сли ковчега, стояли в сере́дині Йорда́ну аж до закі́нчення всього, що Господь наказав був Ісусові сказати наро́дові, згідно з усім тим, що наказав був Мойсей Ісусові. А народ ква́пився і перехо́див. |
10 And the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to tell to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people made haste and passed over. |
|
11 І сталося, як увесь народ скінчи́в перехо́дити, то перейшов Господній ковчег та священики перед наро́дом. |
11 And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the LORD and the priests passed over before the people. |
|
12 І перейшли́ Руви́мові сини й сини Ґадові та половина пле́мени Манасі́їного, озбро́єні до бо́ю, перед Ізраїлевими синами, як Мойсей говорив був до них. |

13 Коло сорока тисяч озбро́єних вояків перейшли перед Господнім лицем на війну до єрихо́нських степі́в. |
13 About forty thousand men armed for war passed over before the LORD to battle, to the plains of Jericho. |
|
14 Того дня звели́чив Господь Ісуса на оча́х усього Ізраїля, і стали боятися його, як боялися Мойсея по всі дні його життя. |
14 On that very day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life. |
|
15 І сказав Господь до Ісуса, говорячи: |
15 And the LORD said to Joshua, |
|
16 „Накажи священикам, що носять ковче́га запові́ту, і нехай вони вийдуть з Йорда́ну“. |
16 Command the priests who bear the ark of the testimony to come up out of the Jordan. |
|
17 І наказав Ісус священикам, говорячи: „Вийдіть з Йорда́ну!“ |
17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come up out of the Jordan. |
|
18 І сталося, коли священики, що не́сли ковчега Господнього заповіту, вийшли з сере́дини Йорда́ну, а сто́пи ніг священиків відірвалися від нього, щоб стати на сухо́му, то вода Йорда́ну верну́лася на своє місце, і пішла, як учора-позавчора, по всіх його берега́х. |
18 And when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up out of the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet rested firm on the dry land, the waters of the Jordan rushed to their place, and overflowed all its banks, as they did before. |
|
19 А народ вийшов із Йорда́ну десятого дня першого місяця, та й таборува́в у Ґілґа́лі, на схі́дньому боці Єрихо́ну. |
19 And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho. |
|
20 А дванадцять тих ка́менів, що взяли́ з Йорда́ну, Ісус поставив у Ґілґалі. |
20 And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan. Joshua set up at Gilgal. |
|
21 І сказав він до Ізра́їлевих синів, говорячи: „Коли взавтра запитають вас ваші сини своїх батькі́в, говорячи: Що це за камі́ння? |
21 And he said to the children of Israel, When your children shall ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones? |
|
22 то познайо́мте ваших синів, говорячи: По сухому перейшов був Ізраїль цей Йорда́н, |
22 Then you shall explain them to your children, and say to them, The children of Israel crossed this Jordan on dry land. |
|
23 бо Господь, Бог ваш, висушив воду Йорда́ну перед вами, аж поки ви не перейшли́, як зробив був Господь, Бог ваш, морю Червоному, яке Він висушив перед нами, аж поки ми не перейшли́, |
23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before them, until they passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us until we passed over; |
|
24 щоб усі наро́ди землі пізнали ру́ку Господню, що сильна́ вона, щоб боялися ви Го́спода, Бога вашого, по всі дні“. |
24 So that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, and that you may worship the LORD your God for ever. |
