Глава 4

1 После того как народ перешёл реку Иордан, Господь сказал Иисусу:

2 «Возьми двенадцать человек, по одному из каждого колена.

3 Вели им поднять из реки, с того места, где стояли священники, двенадцать камней. Пусть они несут эти камни с собой и положат их там, где вы будете ночевать этой ночью».

4 Иисус выбрал двенадцать человек из каждого колена и

5 сказал им: «Войдите в реку, туда, где находится ковчег Соглашения Господа, Бога вашего. Каждый из вас должен найти по камню и вынести этот камень на плече. На каждое колено Израиля будет по одному камню.

6 Эти камни будут для вас знамением. В будущем ваши дети спросят вас: „Что означают эти камни?”

7 Вы расскажете детям, что Господь остановил воду в реке Иордан, что, когда святой ковчег Соглашения Господа переходил реку, течение воды остановилось. Эти камни помогут народу Израиля всегда помнить об этом».

8 Израильтяне сделали так, как велел им Иисус. Они взяли двенадцать камней с середины реки Иордан, по одному камню на каждое колено Израиля, и сделали то, что Господь повелел Иисусу. Люди принесли эти камни с собой и положили их в том месте, где они раскинули лагерь.

9 (Иисус положил другие двенадцать камней посреди реки, в том месте, где стояли священники, нёсшие святой ковчег Господа. Эти камни лежат там и до сих пор).

10 Господь повелел Иисусу сказать народу то же, что и Моисей завещал Иисусу. Священники, несшие святой ковчег, стояли на середине реки до тех пор, пока всё не было исполнено, а народ тем временем поспешно переходил реку.

11 После того как все перешли реку, священники снова понесли ковчег Господа перед народом.

12 Мужчины из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии сделали всё, как велел им Моисей. Они перешли реку впереди других и были готовы к войне.

13 Около сорока тысяч воинов, готовых к сражению, прошли перед Господом и маршем подходили к равнинам Иерихона.

14 В тот день Господь сделал Иисуса великим человеком в глазах всего Израиля, и после этого народ стал почитать его. Они почитали Иисуса всю его жизнь так же, как почитали Моисея.

15 В то время, когда священники всё ещё стояли в реке, Господь сказал Иисусу:

16 «Прикажи священникам выйти из реки».

17 Иисус приказал священникам: «Выходите из Иордана».

18 Священники вышли из реки и вынесли ковчег Соглашения Божьего. Когда их ноги коснулись твёрдой земли на другой стороне реки, вода снова потекла по руслу реки и затопила берега как прежде.

19 Народ перешёл Иордан на десятый день первого месяца и расположился лагерем в Галгале, к востоку от Иерихона.

20 Люди принесли с собой двенадцать камней, которые взяли из Иордана, и Иисус установил их в Галгале.

21 Затем он сказал народу: «В будущем ваши дети спросят своих родителей: „Что означают эти камни?”

22 А вы скажете детям: „Эти камни помогают нам помнить, как народ Израиля перешёл через Иордан по сухой земле.

23 Господь, Бог ваш, иссушил воды Иордана. Река была сухая, пока народ переходил её, так же как было и у Красного моря. Помните, Господь остановил воды Красного моря, чтобы народ мог перейти его.

24 Господь сделал это для того, чтобы весь народ в этой стране знал силу Господа. И тогда люди будут всегда бояться Господа, Бога вашего”».

Chapter 4

1 AND when all the people had finished passing over the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua,

2 Take twelve men from the people, a man out of every tribe,

3 And command them, saying, Take from here out of the midst of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood, twelve stones, and you shall carry them over with you, and lay them in the lodging place where you lodge this night.

4 Then Joshua called the twelve men who were selected from the children of Israel, out of each tribe a man;

5 And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;

6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones?

7 Then you shall tell them, The waters of the Jordan were divided before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when we passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were divided; and these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel for ever.

8 And the children of Israel did as Joshua commanded them, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as the LORD had said to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

9 And they set up the twelve stones which they had taken out of the midst of the Jordan, where stood the feet of the priests who were bearing the ark of the covenant; and they are there to this day.

10 And the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to tell to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people made haste and passed over.

11 And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the LORD and the priests passed over before the people.

12 Then the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses had told them;

13 About forty thousand men armed for war passed over before the LORD to battle, to the plains of Jericho.

14 On that very day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life.

15 And the LORD said to Joshua,

16 Command the priests who bear the ark of the testimony to come up out of the Jordan.

17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come up out of the Jordan.

18 And when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up out of the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet rested firm on the dry land, the waters of the Jordan rushed to their place, and overflowed all its banks, as they did before.

19 And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho.

20 And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan. Joshua set up at Gilgal.

21 And he said to the children of Israel, When your children shall ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones?

22 Then you shall explain them to your children, and say to them, The children of Israel crossed this Jordan on dry land.

23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before them, until they passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us until we passed over;

24 So that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, and that you may worship the LORD your God for ever.

1 После того как народ перешёл реку Иордан, Господь сказал Иисусу:

1 AND when all the people had finished passing over the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua,

2 «Возьми двенадцать человек, по одному из каждого колена.

2 Take twelve men from the people, a man out of every tribe,

3 Вели им поднять из реки, с того места, где стояли священники, двенадцать камней. Пусть они несут эти камни с собой и положат их там, где вы будете ночевать этой ночью».

3 And command them, saying, Take from here out of the midst of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood, twelve stones, and you shall carry them over with you, and lay them in the lodging place where you lodge this night.

4 Иисус выбрал двенадцать человек из каждого колена и

4 Then Joshua called the twelve men who were selected from the children of Israel, out of each tribe a man;

5 сказал им: «Войдите в реку, туда, где находится ковчег Соглашения Господа, Бога вашего. Каждый из вас должен найти по камню и вынести этот камень на плече. На каждое колено Израиля будет по одному камню.

5 And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of the Jordan, and take up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;

6 Эти камни будут для вас знамением. В будущем ваши дети спросят вас: „Что означают эти камни?”

6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones?

7 Вы расскажете детям, что Господь остановил воду в реке Иордан, что, когда святой ковчег Соглашения Господа переходил реку, течение воды остановилось. Эти камни помогут народу Израиля всегда помнить об этом».

7 Then you shall tell them, The waters of the Jordan were divided before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when we passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were divided; and these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel for ever.

8 Израильтяне сделали так, как велел им Иисус. Они взяли двенадцать камней с середины реки Иордан, по одному камню на каждое колено Израиля, и сделали то, что Господь повелел Иисусу. Люди принесли эти камни с собой и положили их в том месте, где они раскинули лагерь.

8 And the children of Israel did as Joshua commanded them, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as the LORD had said to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

9 (Иисус положил другие двенадцать камней посреди реки, в том месте, где стояли священники, нёсшие святой ковчег Господа. Эти камни лежат там и до сих пор).

9 And they set up the twelve stones which they had taken out of the midst of the Jordan, where stood the feet of the priests who were bearing the ark of the covenant; and they are there to this day.

10 Господь повелел Иисусу сказать народу то же, что и Моисей завещал Иисусу. Священники, несшие святой ковчег, стояли на середине реки до тех пор, пока всё не было исполнено, а народ тем временем поспешно переходил реку.

10 And the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to tell to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua; and the people made haste and passed over.

11 После того как все перешли реку, священники снова понесли ковчег Господа перед народом.

11 And when all the people had finished passing over, the ark of the LORD and the priests passed over before the people.

12 Мужчины из колен Рувима, Гада и половины колена Манассии сделали всё, как велел им Моисей. Они перешли реку впереди других и были готовы к войне.

12 Then the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses had told them;

13 About forty thousand men armed for war passed over before the LORD to battle, to the plains of Jericho.

14 В тот день Господь сделал Иисуса великим человеком в глазах всего Израиля, и после этого народ стал почитать его. Они почитали Иисуса всю его жизнь так же, как почитали Моисея.

14 On that very day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life.

15 В то время, когда священники всё ещё стояли в реке, Господь сказал Иисусу:

15 And the LORD said to Joshua,

16 «Прикажи священникам выйти из реки».

16 Command the priests who bear the ark of the testimony to come up out of the Jordan.

17 Иисус приказал священникам: «Выходите из Иордана».

17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come up out of the Jordan.

18 Священники вышли из реки и вынесли ковчег Соглашения Божьего. Когда их ноги коснулись твёрдой земли на другой стороне реки, вода снова потекла по руслу реки и затопила берега как прежде.

18 And when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up out of the midst of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet rested firm on the dry land, the waters of the Jordan rushed to their place, and overflowed all its banks, as they did before.

19 Народ перешёл Иордан на десятый день первого месяца и расположился лагерем в Галгале, к востоку от Иерихона.

19 And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho.

20 Люди принесли с собой двенадцать камней, которые взяли из Иордана, и Иисус установил их в Галгале.

20 And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan. Joshua set up at Gilgal.

21 Затем он сказал народу: «В будущем ваши дети спросят своих родителей: „Что означают эти камни?”

21 And he said to the children of Israel, When your children shall ask you in time to come, saying, What is the meaning of these stones?

22 А вы скажете детям: „Эти камни помогают нам помнить, как народ Израиля перешёл через Иордан по сухой земле.

22 Then you shall explain them to your children, and say to them, The children of Israel crossed this Jordan on dry land.

23 Господь, Бог ваш, иссушил воды Иордана. Река была сухая, пока народ переходил её, так же как было и у Красного моря. Помните, Господь остановил воды Красного моря, чтобы народ мог перейти его.

23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before them, until they passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us until we passed over;

24 Господь сделал это для того, чтобы весь народ в этой стране знал силу Господа. И тогда люди будут всегда бояться Господа, Бога вашего”».

24 So that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, and that you may worship the LORD your God for ever.
