1 І сказав Він до мене: „Сину лю́дський, зведи́ся на ноги свої, — і Я буду говорити з тобою!“

2 І ввійшов в мене дух, коли Він говорив до мене, і звів мене на мої ноги, і я чув Того, Хто говорив до мене.

3 І сказав Він до мене: „Сину лю́дський, Я посилаю тебе до Ізраїлевих синів, до людей бунтівникі́в, що бунту́ються проти Мене. Вони та їхні батьки́ відпали від Мене аж до цього дня!

4 А ці сини, що Я посилаю тебе до них, зухва́лого обличчя та твердо́го серця. І ти скажеш до них: Так говорить Господь Бог!

5 А вони чи послухаються, чи занеха́ють, — бо вони дім ворохо́бний, — то пізнають, що пророк був серед них.

6 А ти, сину лю́дський, не бійся їх, і не бійся їхніх слів, хоч вони для тебе будя́ччя та терни́на, і ти сидиш між скорпіо́нами. Слів їхніх не бійся, а їхнього вигляду не лякайся, бо вони дім ворохо́бний.

7 І будеш говорити до них Мої слова́, — чи вони послухаються, чи занеха́ють, бо вони ворохо́бні.

8 А ти, сину лю́дський, послухай, що кажу́ Я тобі: Не будь ворохо́бний, як цей дім ворохо́бности, — відкрий свої уста та з'їж, що Я тобі дам“.

9 І побачив я, аж ось до мене простя́гнена рука, а в ній звій книжко́вий.

10 І Він розгорну́в його перед моїм обличчям, — а він попи́саний спе́реду та зза́ду. І було на ньому написано пісні плачу́, стогін та горе.

Chapter 2

1 And he said559 to me, Son1121 of man,120 stand5975 on your feet,7272 and I will speak1696 to you.

2 And the spirit7307 entered935 into me when834 he spoke1696 to me, and set5975 me on my feet,7272 that I heard8085 him that spoke1696 to me.

3 And he said559 to me, Son1121 of man,120 I send7971 you to the children1121 of Israel,3478 to a rebellious4775 nation1471 that has rebelled4775 against me: they and their fathers1 have transgressed6586 against me, even to this2088 very6106 day.3117

4 For they are impudent7186 6440 children1121 and stiff hearted.2389 3820 I do send7971 you to them; and you shall say559 to them, Thus3541 said559 the Lord136 GOD.3069

5 And they, whether518 they will hear,8085 or whether518 they will forbear,2308 (for they are a rebellious4805 house,1004) yet shall know3045 that there has been1961 a prophet5030 among8432 them.

6 And you, son1121 of man,120 be not afraid3372 of them, neither408 be afraid3372 of their words,1697 though3588 briers5621 and thorns5544 be with you, and you do dwell3427 among413 scorpions:6137 be not afraid3372 of their words,1697 nor408 be dismayed2865 at their looks,6440 though3588 they be a rebellious4805 house.

7 And you shall speak1696 my words1697 to them, whether518 they will hear,8085 or whether518 they will forbear:2308 for they are most rebellious.4805

8 But you, son1121 of man,120 hear8085 what853 834 I say1696 to you; Be not you rebellious4805 like that rebellious4805 house:1004 open6475 your mouth,6310 and eat398 that I give5414 you.

9 And when I looked,7200 behold,2009 an hand3027 was sent7971 to me; and, see,2009 a roll4040 of a book5612 was therein;

10 And he spread6566 it before6440 me; and it was written3789 within6440 and without:268 and there was written3789 therein413 lamentations,7015 and mourning,1899 and woe.1958

2 І ввійшов в мене дух, коли Він говорив до мене, і звів мене на мої ноги, і я чув Того, Хто говорив до мене.

4 А ці сини, що Я посилаю тебе до них, зухва́лого обличчя та твердо́го серця. І ти скажеш до них: Так говорить Господь Бог!

5 А вони чи послухаються, чи занеха́ють, — бо вони дім ворохо́бний, — то пізнають, що пророк був серед них.
