3 Пусть стрелец1869 напрягает1869 лук7198 против напрягающего лук и на величающегося5927 бронею5630 своею; и не щадите2550 юношей970 его, истребите2763 все войско6635 его.

4 Пораженные2491 пусть падут5307 на земле776 Халдейской,3778 и пронзенные1856 — на дорогах2351 ее.

Chapter 51

1 THUS says the LORD, the God of hosts: Behold, I will stir up against Babylon and against its inhabitants a man of cruel heart and like a destroying wind;

2 And I will send to Babylon destroyers, and they shall plunder her and tread her land under their feet; and they shall gather against her from every side in the day of trouble.

3 The archer shall not cease from bending his bow, and the warrior shall not put off his breastplate; spare not her young men; destroy utterly all her host.

4 Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans and the wounded lie in her streets.

5 For Israel and Judah have not been bereaved of their God, of the LORD of hosts their God; though their land was filled with wickedness before the Holy One of Israel.

6 Flee from the midst of Babylon, and let every man save his life; be not swallowed up in her iniquities; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render to her according to her works.

7 Babylon has been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand that made all the earth drunken of her wine; all the nations have drunk, and therefore the nations stagger with drunkenness.

8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed; wail for her, take balm for her wound; perhaps she may be healed.

9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed; let us forsake her, and let us go every one to his own country; for her judgment has reached to heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

10 The LORD has made evident our innocence; come, let us declare in Zion the works of the LORD our God.

11 Gather the quivers; fill them with arrows; the LORD has stirred up the spirit of the king of the Medes; for his device is against Babylon, to destroy her; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

12 Set up the ensign upon the walls of Babylon, set up a watch, drown her in waters; for the LORD has performed that which he had devised against the inhabitants of Babylon.

13 O you that dwell by many waters, abundant in treasures, your end has come and your wound is grievous.

14 The LORD of hosts has sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill you with men, numerous as locusts; and they shall lift up a shout against you, saying, It is done! It is done!

15 The LORD has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out heaven by his understanding.

16 When he utters his voice, he causes the rushing sound of waters in the heavens; and he causes the clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings for the rain, and brings forth the wind out of his storehouses.

17 Every man is brutish, lacking knowledge; all silversmiths are put to shame by the images they have made; for they have cast falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

18 They are worthless, the works of fools; in the time of punishment they shall perish.

19 The portion of Jacob is not the same; for he who has created everything, he is their portion and the sceptre of their inheritance; the LORD of hosts is his name.

20 Prepare weapons of war, for with you will I scatter the nations and with you will I destroy kingdoms;

21 And with you I will scatter horses and their riders, and with you I will scatter chariots and their riders,

22 With you will I scatter men and women, and with you will I scatter the old men and the youths, and with you will I scatter the young men and the maids,

23 And with you will I scatter the shepherd and his flock, and with you will I scatter the plowman and his yoke of oxen, and with you will I scatter rulers and governors.

24 And I will recompense to Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea, before your eyes, for all the evil that they have done in Zion, says the LORD.

25 Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, says the LORD, which destroys all the earth; I will stretch out my hand against you and remove your foundation from the rock, and will make you a burnt mountain.

26 And they shall not take from you a stone for a corner nor a stone for foundations; but you shall be desolate for ever, says the LORD.

27 Set up a banner in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations; prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Armenia, and Aschenaz; decree destruction against her; bring up horses like crawling locusts.

28 Prepare the nations for war against her, the king of the Medes and his princes and all his governors.

29 And the earth shall tremble and be confounded; for the purpose of the LORD against Babylon shall stand, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.

30 The warriors of Babylon, together with those who man the strongholds, have ceased to fight; their strength has failed; they became cowards; they have dismantled her tents; her bars are broken.

31 One courier shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to tell the king of Babylon that his city is taken from every side,

32 And that the crossings are seized and the bastions are burned with fire and all the men of war are in confusion.

33 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor, when wheat is ready to be threshed; yet a little while and the time of harvest shall come.

34 Jerusalem has said, Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me, he has plundered me, he has made me like an empty vessel, he has swallowed me up like a dragon, he has filled his belly with my delicacies, and then he has caused me to go astray.

35 My spoil and my wealth are carried away to Babylon, my blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, Jerusalem shall say.

36 Therefore thus says the LORD Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; I will dry up the sea of Babylon, and make her springs dry.

37 And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for jackals, an astonishment and a hissing, without an inhabitant.

38 They shall roar together like lions; they shall growl like lions' whelps.

39 With venom I will prepare their drinks, and I will make them drunk, and they shall fall down and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not awake, says the LORD.

40 And I will deliver them like fatlings to be slain, like rams and he-goats to slaughter.

41 How is the royal city taken! the praise of the whole earth! How has Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!

42 The sea has come up upon Babylon; she is covered with the multitude of its waves.

43 Her cities have become a horror, like a dry land and a wilderness, a land in which no man shall dwell, neither shall any son of man live in it.

44 And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up; and the nations shall not worship him anymore; yea, even the broad walls of Babylon shall fall.

45 My people, go out of the midst of her, and spare every man his life from the fierce anger of the LORD,

46 Lest your heart faint and be fearful at the rumors that shall be heard in the land; and a rumor shall come in one year, and the following year another rumor; and there shall be violence in the land, and ruler shall rise against ruler.

47 Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will break the graven images of Babylon; and her whole land shall be destroyed, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

48 Then the heaven and the earth and all that is in them shall rejoice over Babylon; for the spoilers shall come to her from the north, says the LORD.

49 And also in Babylon there shall fall the slain of Israel, and the slain of Babylon shall fall all over the earth.

50 You that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still; remember the LORD from afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

51 And the house of Israel shall say, We are exceedingly ashamed, because we have heard reproach; shame has covered our faces; for strangers have entered into the sanctuary of the LORD.

52 Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will bring punishment upon Babylon and destruction upon her graven images; and her slain shall fall throughout her land.

53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should set her fortifications in the heights, yet spoilers shall come from me upon her, says the LORD.

54 A sound of wailing comes from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans

55 Because the LORD has spoiled Babylon and destroyed out of her both man and beast; the great sound of their voices goes up like the roaring of many waters.

56 The spoilers have come upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, and their bows are broken in pieces; for God is the LORD of recompense; he will surely requite them.

57 And I will make drunk her princes and her wise men, her noble men and her rulers and her mighty men; and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.

58 Thus says the LORD of hosts: The broad walls of Babylon shall surely be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labor in vain, and the nations shall be weary with fire.

59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Sheraiah the son of Neriah the son of Massaiah when he went with Zedekiah king of Judah to Babylon in the fourth year of his reign, and Sheraiah was commander of an army.

60 So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that was to come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written concerning Babylon.

61 And Jeremiah said to Sheraiah, When you enter Babylon, see that you read all these words;

62 Then say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this country, to destroy it, that none shall dwell in it. neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

63 And when you have finished reading this scroll, then tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates;

64 And say, Thus shall Babylon sink and shall not rise, because of the evil that I will bring upon her people; and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

7 Babylon has been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand that made all the earth drunken of her wine; all the nations have drunk, and therefore the nations stagger with drunkenness.

8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed; wail for her, take balm for her wound; perhaps she may be healed.

9 Врачевали7495 мы Вавилон,894 но не исцелился;7495 оставьте5800 его, и пойдем3212 каждый376 в свою землю,776 потому что приговор4941 о нем достиг5060 до небес8064 и поднялся5375 до облаков.7834

9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed; let us forsake her, and let us go every one to his own country; for her judgment has reached to heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

10 Господь3068 вывел3318 на свет3318 правду6666 нашу; пойдем935 и возвестим5608 на Сионе6726 дело4639 Господа3068 Бога430 нашего.

10 The LORD has made evident our innocence; come, let us declare in Zion the works of the LORD our God.

11 Острите1305 стрелы,2671 наполняйте4390 колчаны;7982 Господь3068 возбудил5782 дух7307 царей4428 Мидийских,4074 потому что у Него есть намерение4209 против Вавилона,894 чтобы истребить7843 его, ибо это есть отмщение5360 Господа,3068 отмщение5360 за храм1964 Его.

11 Gather the quivers; fill them with arrows; the LORD has stirred up the spirit of the king of the Medes; for his device is against Babylon, to destroy her; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

12 Против стен2346 Вавилона894 поднимите5375 знамя,5251 усильте2388 надзор,4929 расставьте6965 сторожей,8104 приготовьте3559 засады,693 ибо, как Господь3068 помыслил,2161 так и сделает,6213 что изрек1696 на жителей3427 Вавилона.894

12 Set up the ensign upon the walls of Babylon, set up a watch, drown her in waters; for the LORD has performed that which he had devised against the inhabitants of Babylon.

13 О, ты, живущий79317931 при водах4325 великих,7227 изобилующий7227 сокровищами!214 пришел935 конец7093 твой, мера520 жадности1215 твоей.

13 O you that dwell by many waters, abundant in treasures, your end has come and your wound is grievous.

14 Господь3068 Саваоф6635 поклялся7650 Самим Собою:5315 истинно говорю, что наполню4390 тебя людьми,120 как саранчою,3218 и поднимут6030 крик1959 против тебя.

14 The LORD of hosts has sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill you with men, numerous as locusts; and they shall lift up a shout against you, saying, It is done! It is done!

15 Он сотворил6213 землю776 силою3581 Своею, утвердил3559 вселенную8398 мудростью2451 Своею и разумом8394 Своим распростер5186 небеса.8064

15 The LORD has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out heaven by his understanding.

16 По гласу54146963 Его шумят1995 воды4325 на небесах,8064 и Он возводит5927 облака5387 от краев7097 земли,776 творит6213 молнии1300 среди дождя4306 и изводит3318 ветер7307 из хранилищ214 Своих.

16 When he utters his voice, he causes the rushing sound of waters in the heavens; and he causes the clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings for the rain, and brings forth the wind out of his storehouses.

17 Безумствует1197 всякий человек120 в своем знании,1847 срамит3001 себя всякий плавильщик6884 истуканом6459 своим, ибо истукан5262 его есть ложь,8267 и нет в нем духа.7307

17 Every man is brutish, lacking knowledge; all silversmiths are put to shame by the images they have made; for they have cast falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

18 Это совершенная пустота,1892 дело4639 заблуждения;8595 во время6256 посещения6486 их они исчезнут.6

18 They are worthless, the works of fools; in the time of punishment they shall perish.

19 Не такова, как их, доля2506 Иакова,3290 ибо Бог его есть Творец3335 всего, и Израиль есть жезл7626 наследия5159 Его, имя8034 Его — Господь3068 Саваоф.6635

19 The portion of Jacob is not the same; for he who has created everything, he is their portion and the sceptre of their inheritance; the LORD of hosts is his name.

20 Ты у Меня — молот,4661 оружие3627 воинское;4421 тобою Я поражал5310 народы1471 и тобою разорял7843 царства;4467

20 Prepare weapons of war, for with you will I scatter the nations and with you will I destroy kingdoms;

21 тобою поражал5310 коня5483 и всадника7392 его и тобою поражал5310 колесницу7393 и возницу7392 ее;

21 And with you I will scatter horses and their riders, and with you I will scatter chariots and their riders,

22 тобою поражал5310 мужа376 и жену,802 тобою поражал5310 и старого2205 и молодого,5288 тобою поражал5310 и юношу970 и девицу;1330

22 With you will I scatter men and women, and with you will I scatter the old men and the youths, and with you will I scatter the young men and the maids,

23 и тобою поражал5310 пастуха7462 и стадо5739 его, тобою поражал5310 и земледельца406 и рабочий6776 скот6776 его, тобою поражал5310 и областеначальников6346 и градоправителей.5461

23 And with you will I scatter the shepherd and his flock, and with you will I scatter the plowman and his yoke of oxen, and with you will I scatter rulers and governors.

24 И воздам7999 Вавилону894 и всем жителям3427 Халдеи3778 за все то зло,7451 какое они делали6213 на Сионе6726 в глазах5869 ваших, говорит5002 Господь.3068

24 And I will recompense to Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea, before your eyes, for all the evil that they have done in Zion, says the LORD.

25 Вот, Я — на тебя, гора2022 губительная,4889 говорит5002 Господь,3068 разоряющая7843 всю землю,776 и простру5186 на тебя руку3027 Мою, и низрину1556 тебя со скал,5553 и сделаю5414 тебя горою2022 обгорелою.8316

25 Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, says the LORD, which destroys all the earth; I will stretch out my hand against you and remove your foundation from the rock, and will make you a burnt mountain.

26 И не возьмут3947 из тебя камня68 для углов6438 и камня68 для основания,4146 но вечно5769 будешь запустением,8077 говорит5002 Господь.3068

26 And they shall not take from you a stone for a corner nor a stone for foundations; but you shall be desolate for ever, says the LORD.

27 Поднимите5375 знамя5251 на земле,776 трубите8628 трубою7782 среди народов,1471 вооружите6942 против него народы,1471 созовите8085 на него царства4467 Араратские,780 Минийские4508 и Аскеназские,813 поставьте6485 вождя2951 против него, наведите5927 коней,5483 как страшную5569 саранчу.3218

27 Set up a banner in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations; prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Armenia, and Aschenaz; decree destruction against her; bring up horses like crawling locusts.

28 Вооружите6942 против него народы,1471 царей4428 Мидии,4074 областеначальников6346 ее и всех градоправителей5461 ее, и всю землю,776 подвластную4475 ей.

28 Prepare the nations for war against her, the king of the Medes and his princes and all his governors.

29 Трясется7493 земля776 и трепещет,2342 ибо исполняются6965 над Вавилоном894 намерения4284 Господа3068 сделать7760 землю776 Вавилонскую894 пустынею,8047 без жителей.3427

29 And the earth shall tremble and be confounded; for the purpose of the LORD against Babylon shall stand, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.

30 Перестали2308 сражаться3898 сильные1368 Вавилонские,894 сидят3427 в укреплениях4679 своих; истощилась5405 сила1369 их, сделались как женщины,802 жилища4908 их сожжены,3341 затворы1280 их сокрушены.7665

30 The warriors of Babylon, together with those who man the strongholds, have ceased to fight; their strength has failed; they became cowards; they have dismantled her tents; her bars are broken.

31 Гонец7323 бежит7323 навстречу7125 гонцу,7323 и вестник5046 навстречу7125 вестнику,5046 чтобы возвестить5046 царю4428 Вавилонскому,894 что город5892 его взят3920 со всех концов,7097

31 One courier shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to tell the king of Babylon that his city is taken from every side,

32 и броды4569 захвачены,8610 и ограды98 сожжены8313 огнем,784 и воины5824421 поражены926 страхом.926

32 And that the crossings are seized and the bastions are burned with fire and all the men of war are in confusion.

33 Ибо так говорит559 Господь3068 Саваоф,6635 Бог430 Израилев:3478 дочь1323 Вавилона894 подобна гумну1637 во время6256 молотьбы1869 на нем; еще немного,4592 и наступит935 время6256 жатвы7105 ее.

33 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor, when wheat is ready to be threshed; yet a little while and the time of harvest shall come.

34 Пожирал398 меня и грыз2000 меня Навуходоносор,5019 царь4428 Вавилонский;894 сделал3322 меня пустым7385 сосудом;3627 поглощал1104 меня, как дракон;8577 наполнял4390 чрево3770 свое сластями5730 моими, извергал1740 меня.

34 Jerusalem has said, Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me, he has plundered me, he has made me like an empty vessel, he has swallowed me up like a dragon, he has filled his belly with my delicacies, and then he has caused me to go astray.

35 Обида2555 моя и плоть7607 моя — на Вавилоне,894 скажет559 обитательница3427 Сиона,6726 и кровь1818 моя — на жителях3427 Халдеи,3778 скажет559 Иерусалим.3389

35 My spoil and my wealth are carried away to Babylon, my blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, Jerusalem shall say.

36 Посему так говорит559 Господь:3068 вот, Я вступлюсь7378 в твое дело7379 и отмщу53585360 за тебя, и осушу2717 море3220 его, и иссушу3001 каналы4726 его.

36 Therefore thus says the LORD Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; I will dry up the sea of Babylon, and make her springs dry.

37 И Вавилон894 будет грудою развалин,1530 жилищем4583 шакалов,8577 ужасом8047 и посмеянием,8322 без жителей.3427

37 And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for jackals, an astonishment and a hissing, without an inhabitant.

38 Как львы3715 зарыкают7580 все3162 они, и заревут5286 как щенки1484 львиные.738

38 They shall roar together like lions; they shall growl like lions' whelps.

39 Во время разгорячения2527 их сделаю7896 им пир4960 и упою7937 их, чтобы они повеселились5937 и заснули3462 вечным5769 сном,8142 и не пробуждались,6974 говорит5002 Господь.3068

39 With venom I will prepare their drinks, and I will make them drunk, and they shall fall down and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not awake, says the LORD.

40 Сведу3381 их как ягнят3733 на заклание,2873 как овнов352 с козлами.6260

40 And I will deliver them like fatlings to be slain, like rams and he-goats to slaughter.

41 Как взят3920 Сесах,8347 и завоевана8610 слава8416 всей земли!776 Как сделался Вавилон894 ужасом8047 между народами!1471

41 How is the royal city taken! the praise of the whole earth! How has Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!

42 Устремилось5927 на Вавилон894 море;3220 он покрыт3680 множеством1995 волн1530 его.

42 The sea has come up upon Babylon; she is covered with the multitude of its waves.

43 Города5892 его сделались пустыми,8047 землею776 сухою,6723 степью,6160 землею,776 где не живет3427 ни один человек376 и где2004 не проходит5674 сын1121 человеческий.120

43 Her cities have become a horror, like a dry land and a wilderness, a land in which no man shall dwell, neither shall any son of man live in it.

44 И посещу6485 Вила1078 в Вавилоне,894 и исторгну3318 из уст6310 его проглоченное1105 им, и народы1471 не будут5102 более стекаться5102 к нему, даже и стены2346 Вавилонские894 падут.5307

44 And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up; and the nations shall not worship him anymore; yea, even the broad walls of Babylon shall fall.

45 Выходи3318 из среды8432 его, народ5971 Мой, и спасайте4422 каждый376 душу5315 свою от пламенного2740 гнева639 Господа.3068

45 My people, go out of the midst of her, and spare every man his life from the fierce anger of the LORD,

46 Да не ослабевает7401 сердце3824 ваше, и не бойтесь3372 слуха,8052 который будет8085 слышен8085 на земле;776 слух8052 придет935 в один год,8141 и потом310 в другой год,8141 и на земле776 будет насилие,2555 властелин4910 восстанет на властелина.4910

46 Lest your heart faint and be fearful at the rumors that shall be heard in the land; and a rumor shall come in one year, and the following year another rumor; and there shall be violence in the land, and ruler shall rise against ruler.

47 Посему вот, приходят935 дни,3117 когда Я посещу6485 идолов6456 Вавилона,894 и вся земля776 его будет954 посрамлена,954 и все пораженные2491 его падут5307 среди8432 него.

47 Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will break the graven images of Babylon; and her whole land shall be destroyed, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

48 И восторжествуют7442 над Вавилоном894 небо8064 и земля776 и все, что на них; ибо от севера6828 придут935 к нему опустошители,7703 говорит5002 Господь.3068

48 Then the heaven and the earth and all that is in them shall rejoice over Babylon; for the spoilers shall come to her from the north, says the LORD.

49 Как1571 Вавилон894 повергал5307 пораженных2491 Израильтян,3478 так в Вавилоне894 будут5307 повержены5307 пораженные2491 всей страны.776

49 And also in Babylon there shall fall the slain of Israel, and the slain of Babylon shall fall all over the earth.

50 Спасшиеся6405 от меча,2719 уходите,1980 не останавливайтесь,5975 вспомните2142 издали7350 о Господе,3068 и да взойдет5927 Иерусалим3389 на сердце3824 ваше.

50 You that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still; remember the LORD from afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

51 Стыдно954 нам было,954 когда мы слышали8085 ругательство:2781 бесчестие3639 покрывало3680 лица6440 наши, когда чужеземцы2114 пришли935 во святилище4720 дома1004 Господня.3068

51 And the house of Israel shall say, We are exceedingly ashamed, because we have heard reproach; shame has covered our faces; for strangers have entered into the sanctuary of the LORD.

52 За то вот, приходят935 дни,3117 говорит5002 Господь,3068 когда Я посещу6485 истуканов6456 его, и по всей земле776 его будут602 стонать602 раненые.2491

52 Therefore, behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will bring punishment upon Babylon and destruction upon her graven images; and her slain shall fall throughout her land.

53 Хотя бы Вавилон894 возвысился5927 до небес,8064 и хотя бы он на высоте4791 укрепил1219 твердыню5797 свою; но от227 Меня придут935 к нему опустошители,7703 говорит5002 Господь.3068

53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should set her fortifications in the heights, yet spoilers shall come from me upon her, says the LORD.

54 Пронесется гул6963 вопля2201 от Вавилона894 и великое1419 разрушение7667 — от земли776 Халдейской,3778

54 A sound of wailing comes from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans

55 ибо Господь3068 опустошит7703 Вавилон894 и положит6 конец6 горделивому1419 голосу6963 в нем. Зашумят1993 волны1530 их как большие7227 воды,4325 раздастся5414 шумный7588 голос6963 их.

55 Because the LORD has spoiled Babylon and destroyed out of her both man and beast; the great sound of their voices goes up like the roaring of many waters.

56 Ибо придет935 на него, на Вавилон,894 опустошитель,7703 и взяты3920 будут3920 ратоборцы1368 его, сокрушены2865 будут2865 луки7198 их; ибо Господь,3068 Бог410 воздаяний,1578 воздаст7999 воздаяние.7999

56 The spoilers have come upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, and their bows are broken in pieces; for God is the LORD of recompense; he will surely requite them.

57 И напою7937 допьяна7937 князей8269 его и мудрецов2450 его, областеначальников6346 его, и градоправителей5461 его, и воинов1368 его, и заснут3462 сном8142 вечным,5769 и не пробудятся,6974 говорит5002 Царь4428 — Господь3068 Саваоф6635 имя8034 Его.

57 And I will make drunk her princes and her wise men, her noble men and her rulers and her mighty men; and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.

58 Так говорит559 Господь3068 Саваоф:6635 толстые7342 стены2346 Вавилона894 до основания6209 будут6209 разрушены,6209 и высокие1364 ворота8179 его будут3341 сожжены3341 огнем;784 итак напрасно7385 трудились3021 народы,5971 и племена3816 мучили3286 себя для1767 огня.784

58 Thus says the LORD of hosts: The broad walls of Babylon shall surely be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labor in vain, and the nations shall be weary with fire.

59 Слово,1697 которое пророк5030 Иеремия3414 заповедал6680 Сераии,8304 сыну1121 Нирии,5374 сыну1121 Маасеи,4271 когда он отправлялся3212 в Вавилон894 с Седекиею,6667 царем4428 Иудейским,3063 в четвертый7243 год8141 его царствования;4427 Сераия8304 был главный8269 постельничий.4496

59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Sheraiah the son of Neriah the son of Massaiah when he went with Zedekiah king of Judah to Babylon in the fourth year of his reign, and Sheraiah was commander of an army.

60 Иеремия3414 вписал3789 в одну259 книгу5612 все бедствия,7451 какие должны были придти935 на Вавилон,894 все сии речи,1697 написанные3789 на Вавилон.894

60 So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that was to come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written concerning Babylon.

61 И сказал559 Иеремия3414 Сераии:8304 когда ты придешь935 в Вавилон,894 то смотри,7200 прочитай7121 все сии речи,1697

61 And Jeremiah said to Sheraiah, When you enter Babylon, see that you read all these words;

62 и скажи:559 «Господи!3068 Ты изрек1696 о месте4725 сем, что истребишь3772 его так, что не останется3427 в нем ни человека,120 ни скота,929 но оно будет вечною5769 пустынею».8077

62 Then say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this country, to destroy it, that none shall dwell in it. neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

63 И когда окончишь3615 чтение7121 сей книги,5612 привяжи7194 к ней камень68 и брось7993 ее в средину8432 Евфрата,6578

63 And when you have finished reading this scroll, then tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates;

64 и скажи:559 «так погрузится8257 Вавилон894 и не восстанет6965 от того бедствия,7451 которое Я наведу935 на него, и они совершенно изнемогут».3286 Доселе речи1697 Иеремии.3414

64 And say, Thus shall Babylon sink and shall not rise, because of the evil that I will bring upon her people; and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
