3 Against413 him that bends1869 let the archer1869 bend1869 his bow,7198 and against413 him that lifts5927 himself up in his brigandine:5630 and spare2550 you not her young970 men; destroy2763 you utterly all3605 her host.6635
4 Thus the slain2491 shall fall5307 in the land776 of the Chaldeans,3778 and they that are thrust1856 through1856 in her streets.2351
5 For Israel3478 has not been forsaken,488 nor Judah3063 of his God,430 of the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 though3588 their land776 was filled4390 with sin817 against the Holy6918 One of Israel.3478

9 We would have healed7495 Babylon,894 but she is not healed:7495 forsake5800 her, and let us go3212 every376 one376 into his own country:776 for her judgment4941 reaches5060 to heaven,8064 and is lifted5375 up even to the skies.7834

13 O you that dwell7931 on many7227 waters,4325 abundant7227 in treasures,214 your end7093 is come,935 and the measure520 of your covetousness.1215
14 The LORD3068 of hosts6635 has sworn7650 by himself,5315 saying, Surely3588518 I will fill4390 you with men,120 as with caterpillars;3218 and they shall lift6030 up a shout1959 against5921 you.
15 He has made6213 the earth776 by his power,3581 he has established3559 the world8398 by his wisdom,2451 and has stretched5186 out the heaven8064 by his understanding.8394
16 When he utters5414 his voice,6963 there is a multitude527 of waters4325 in the heavens;8064 and he causes the vapors5387 to ascend5927 from the ends7097 of the earth:776 he makes6213 lightning1300 with rain,4306 and brings3318 forth3318 the wind7307 out of his treasures.214

28 Prepare6942 against5921 her the nations1471 with the kings4428 of the Medes,4074 the captains6346 thereof, and all3605 the rulers5461 thereof, and all3605 the land776 of his dominion.4475

34 Nebuchadrezzar5019 the king4428 of Babylon894 has devoured398 me, he has crushed2000 me, he has made3322 me an empty7385 vessel,3627 he has swallowed1104 me up like a dragon,8577 he has filled4390 his belly3770 with my delicates,5730 he has cast1740 me out.

49 As Babylon894 has caused the slain2491 of Israel3478 to fall,5307 so at Babylon894 shall fall5307 the slain2491 of all3605 the earth.776

59 The word1697 which834 Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 commanded6680 Seraiah8304 the son1121 of Neriah,5374 the son1121 of Maaseiah,4271 when he went3212 with Zedekiah6667 the king4428 of Judah3063 into Babylon894 in the fourth7243 year8141 of his reign.4427 And this Seraiah8304 was a quiet4496 prince.8269
60 So Jeremiah3414 wrote3789 in a book5612 all3605 the evil7451 that should come935 on Babylon,894 even853 all3605 these428 words1697 that are written3789 against413 Babylon.894
61 And Jeremiah3414 said559 to Seraiah,8304 When you come935 to Babylon,894 and shall see,7200 and shall read7121 all3605 these428 words;1697
62 Then shall you say,559 O LORD,3068 you have spoken1696 against413 this2088 place,4725 to cut3772 it off, that none1115 shall remain3427 in it, neither1115 man120 nor beast,929 but that it shall be desolate8077 for ever.5769

1 Господь говорит: «Я пошлю свирепый ветер, который поднимется против Вавилона и его народа.
2 Я пошлю людей, чтобы Вавилон развеять и опустошить, армии окружат этот город и разрушат его.
3 Воины Вавилона не натянут свои луки и не наденут свои доспехи. Не жалейте воинов Вавилона, всю его армию уничтожьте.
4 В Халдейской земле полягут воины Вавилона, на улицах Вавилона падут они от страшных ран».
5 Господь Израиль с Иудеей не оставил, как овдовевшую женщину. Бог этих людей не оставил, хотя виновны они в том, что оставили Святого Израиля. Они покинули Его, но Он их не оставил.
6 Бегите из Вавилона, спасайте свои жизни, чтобы не погибнуть из-за его грехов. Пришло время для отмщения Вавилону за все грехи, и воздастся ему по заслугам.
7 Был золотою чашей в Господних руках Вавилон. Вавилон весь мир опьянил: выпили и обезумели от него все народы.
8 Но внезапно падёт Вавилон и будет разбит. Плачьте о нём! Найдите ему лекарство, и, быть может, он исцелится.
9 Мы пытались лечить Вавилон, но его болезнь неизлечима. Так оставим же его и вернёмся каждый в свою страну. Как Бог в небесах решит, таким наказание и будет.
10 Господь за нас рассчитался! Так пойдём же на Сион и об этом расскажем.
11 Возьмите свои щиты, стрелы свои заострите, дух царей Мидии Господь возбудил. Он намерен воздать Вавилону заслуженное наказание и уничтожить его за разрушение храма Господнего в Иерусалиме.
12 Поднимите у стен Вавилона флаги, усильте охрану, всюду расставьте стражу, к внезапной атаке будьте готовы. Господь Свои планы исполнит и сделает всё, что предрёк о жителях Вавилона.
13 Вавилон, ты живёшь у великой воды, ты богат непомерно, но приходит конец твой, приближается время твоего уничтожения.
14 Господь Всемогущий поклялся именем Своим: «Вавилон, Я заполню тебя воинами как саранчой, они тебя одолеют, и криком победы руины твои огласятся».
15 Своею великой силой Господь сотворил землю, мудростью Своею мир сотворил, Своим разумом возвёл небеса.
16 По слову Его грохочет гроза в небесах. Он молнии, дождь и тучи посылает на землю и выпускает ветры из хранилищ своих.
17 Но люди глупы и безрассудны, они не понимают, что сделал Бог. Мастера отливают статуи лжебогов, которые не являются богами, потому что нет в идолах духа.
18 Те рукотворные идолы ничего не стоят, они — всего лишь заблуждение, и во время Суда все они будут уничтожены.
19 Но Господь, Который есть доля Иакова, — совсем иной, не сравнить Его с этими никчёмными статуями. Бог Иакова — Творец всего, Бог создал Свой особый народ. Имя Его — Господь Всемогущий!
20 Господь говорит: «Вавилон, ты — Моё орудие, Мой молот. Тобою Я царства разрушал и сокрушал народы.
21 Я поражал тобой всадника и коня, колесницу и её возницу,
22 женщину и мужчину, старого и молодого, юношу и девушку.
23 Я поражал тобой пастухов и стада, быков и землепашцев, правителей и князей.
24 Я отплачу Вавилону и народу его за всё то зло, что они причинили Сиону, и Иудея это увидит». Так говорит Господь.
25 Господь говорит: «Вавилон, ты подобен вулкану, несущему погибель всей земле, ты разрушил целую страну. Но Я, Господь, — против тебя, Я наложу на тебя Мою руку, превратив тебя в обгорелую гору, а затем сброшу со скалы.
26 И не возьмут люди из Вавилона ни камня, чтоб заложить фундамент. Таких камней не найдётся, потому что ты превратишься в вечные руины». Так говорит Господь:
27 «Флаг войны над землёй поднимите, трубите в трубы среди народов. Вы, царства Арарат, Мини и Аскеназ, готовьтесь для битвы с Вавилоном. Вождя во главе поставьте, пусть конница будет такой же многочисленной, как налетающие тучи саранчи.
28 Пусть будут готовы народы к битве с Вавилоном. Подготовьте царей Мидии, правителей и князей, чтобы их страны были готовы к войне с Вавилоном.
29 Дрожит земля и трясётся словно от боли. Это Господь исполняет обещанное Вавилону, превращая его в пустыню, в которой никто не живёт.
30 Воины Вавилона перестали сражаться, они затаились в крепостях; сила покинула их, они стали подобны испуганным женщинам.
31 Вестник спешит за вестником, чтобы сообщить царю вавилонскому, что город их взят.
32 Все броды на реках захвачены, горят переправы, и в страхе дрожат вавилонские воины».
33 Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля, говорит: «Вавилон подобен молотилке, где отделяют зерно от соломы. Для Вавилона наступает время жатвы.
34 Царь Вавилона Навуходоносор в прошлом нас притеснял, он наших людей пленил, и стали мы словно чаша пустая. Он лучшее взял, что было, поглощая всё как дракон, пока не насытился он, а после этого нас выбросил прочь.
35 Вавилон причинил нам страшное зло, вред от него безмерен, поэтому Я хочу, чтобы это и с ним случилось. Люди Сиона сказали: „Народ Вавилона виновен в убийстве наших людей. Теперь они наказаны за то, что сами сотворили”. Иерусалим так сказал.
36 Господь так говорит: „Я защищу тебя, Иудея, Я удостоверюсь, что Вавилон наказан, и осушу и море его, и ручьи.
37 Вавилон станет грудой камней, прибежищем для шакалов. Люди, увидев развалины, будут удивлены и будут качать головами, думая о Вавилоне. Жить никто в Вавилоне не будет.
38 Жители Вавилона ревут словно львы; рычат наподобие львят.
39 Как могучим львам, Я устрою им пир, и они опьянеют и будут смеяться. Потом они навсегда уснут и никогда больше не проснутся”». Так сказал Господь:
40 «И будут они как овцы, козлы и бараны, ждущие заклания, которых Я на бойню поведу.
41 Сесах будет побеждён! Лучшие люди страны в плен попадут. Другие народы будут пугаться, глядя на Вавилон.
42 Над Вавилоном море раскинется, и волны покроют его.
43 Города его опустеют, он станет сухой и пустынной землёй, где никто не живёт. Ни один человек через него не пройдёт.
44 Я накажу в Вавилоне лжебога Вила, Я заставлю его исторгнуть проглоченных им людей. Стена вокруг Вавилона рухнет, и люди перестанут приходить в этот город.
45 Выходите из Вавилона, люди Мои, бегите, спасайте свои жизни, бегите от великого гнева Господнего!
46 Не будьте печальны, слухов не бойтесь. Один слух придёт в этом году, а другой — в следующем. Слухи эти будут о насилии на земле, о битве властелина с властелином.
47 Но придёт время, и Я накажу лжебогов Вавилона, предав эту страну позору. Тогда улицы этого города будут усеяны мёртвыми.
48 Затем и земля, и небо, и всё, что на них, восторжествуют над Вавилоном. Они будут кричать, приветствуя пришедшую с севера армию». Так говорит Господь:
49 «Вавилон убивал израильтян, а также народы всех стран, и поэтому он должен пасть.
50 Вы меча избежали, вы должны торопиться и из Вавилона немедленно уйти. И хотя вы находитесь в далёкой стране, всегда помните Господа и Иерусалим.
51 Нам, иудеям, было стыдно, мы жили в бесчестии, когда в святилище храма Господа чужеземцы пришли».
52 Господь говорит: «Время приходит, когда Я накажу идолов Вавилона. От боли тогда будут раненые плакать по всей стране.
53 Если бы Вавилон возвысился до небес и крепости свои укрепил сильнее, Я бы всё равно послал воинов к нему, чтобы разрушить этот город». Так говорит Господь:
54 «Плач доносится из Вавилона, шум разрушения потрясает Вавилонскую землю.
55 Очень скоро Господь опустошит Вавилон и лишит его громкого, горделивого голоса. Враги как волны океанские нагрянут, и люди услышат рычание их и рокот.
56 Придёт к Вавилону армия и разрушит его. В плен попадут его воины, и сломлены будут их луки, потому что Господь воздаст им по заслугам за все их дела.
57 Я важных чиновников и мудрецов Вавилона напою. Я напою правителей его, воинов его и начальников, и уснут они вечным сном, чтобы никогда уже не пробудиться». Так сказал Царь, чьё имя — Господь Всемогущий.
58 Господь Всемогущий говорит: «Толстые стены Вавилона разрушатся до основания, ворота его сгорят, и люди напрасно будут трудиться, пытаясь спасти свой город, — все они станут добычей огня».
59 Это весть, переданная Иеремией начальнику Сераии, сыну Нирии, чей отец был Маасея. Сераия пошёл в Вавилон с Седекией, царем Иудеи, на четвёртом году его царствования. Тогда Иеремия и передал эту весть Сераии.
60 Иеремия написал на свитке всё, что должно произойти с Вавилоном.
61 Иеремия сказал Сераии: «Пойди в Вавилон и прочитай так, чтобы все люди тебя слышали.
62 А потом скажи: „О, Господи, Ты сказал, что уничтожишь Вавилон и что ни люди, ни животные здесь жить не будут. Страна эта станет навечно пустынными руинами”.
63 Когда окончишь читать этот свиток, привяжи к нему камень и брось в Евфрат.
64 И скажи: „Вот так же утонет и Вавилон и не поднимется больше. Вавилон утонет, потому что Я сотворю здесь нечто ужасное”». На этом кончаются слова Иеремии.

7 Был золотою чашей в Господних руках Вавилон. Вавилон весь мир опьянил: выпили и обезумели от него все народы.
8 Babylon894 is suddenly6597 fallen5307 and destroyed:7665 howl3213 for her; take3947 balm6875 for her pain,4341 if194 so be she may be healed.7495
8 Но внезапно падёт Вавилон и будет разбит. Плачьте о нём! Найдите ему лекарство, и, быть может, он исцелится.
9 We would have healed7495 Babylon,894 but she is not healed:7495 forsake5800 her, and let us go3212 every376 one376 into his own country:776 for her judgment4941 reaches5060 to heaven,8064 and is lifted5375 up even to the skies.7834
9 Мы пытались лечить Вавилон, но его болезнь неизлечима. Так оставим же его и вернёмся каждый в свою страну. Как Бог в небесах решит, таким наказание и будет.

10 Господь за нас рассчитался! Так пойдём же на Сион и об этом расскажем.

11 Возьмите свои щиты, стрелы свои заострите, дух царей Мидии Господь возбудил. Он намерен воздать Вавилону заслуженное наказание и уничтожить его за разрушение храма Господнего в Иерусалиме.
12 Set5375 up the standard5251 on the walls2346 of Babylon,894 make the watch4929 strong,2388 set6965 up the watchmen,8104 prepare3559 the ambushes:693 for the LORD3068 has both1571 devised2161 and done6213 that which834 he spoke1696 against413 the inhabitants3427 of Babylon.894
12 Поднимите у стен Вавилона флаги, усильте охрану, всюду расставьте стражу, к внезапной атаке будьте готовы. Господь Свои планы исполнит и сделает всё, что предрёк о жителях Вавилона.
13 O you that dwell7931 on many7227 waters,4325 abundant7227 in treasures,214 your end7093 is come,935 and the measure520 of your covetousness.1215
13 Вавилон, ты живёшь у великой воды, ты богат непомерно, но приходит конец твой, приближается время твоего уничтожения.
14 The LORD3068 of hosts6635 has sworn7650 by himself,5315 saying, Surely3588518 I will fill4390 you with men,120 as with caterpillars;3218 and they shall lift6030 up a shout1959 against5921 you.
14 Господь Всемогущий поклялся именем Своим: «Вавилон, Я заполню тебя воинами как саранчой, они тебя одолеют, и криком победы руины твои огласятся».
15 He has made6213 the earth776 by his power,3581 he has established3559 the world8398 by his wisdom,2451 and has stretched5186 out the heaven8064 by his understanding.8394
15 Своею великой силой Господь сотворил землю, мудростью Своею мир сотворил, Своим разумом возвёл небеса.
16 When he utters5414 his voice,6963 there is a multitude527 of waters4325 in the heavens;8064 and he causes the vapors5387 to ascend5927 from the ends7097 of the earth:776 he makes6213 lightning1300 with rain,4306 and brings3318 forth3318 the wind7307 out of his treasures.214
16 По слову Его грохочет гроза в небесах. Он молнии, дождь и тучи посылает на землю и выпускает ветры из хранилищ своих.
17 Every3605 man120 is brutish1197 by his knowledge;1847 every3605 founder6884 is confounded3001 by the graven6459 image:6459 for his molten5262 image is falsehood,8267 and there is no3808 breath7307 in them.
17 Но люди глупы и безрассудны, они не понимают, что сделал Бог. Мастера отливают статуи лжебогов, которые не являются богами, потому что нет в идолах духа.
18 They are vanity,1892 the work4639 of errors:8595 in the time6256 of their visitation6486 they shall perish.6
18 Те рукотворные идолы ничего не стоят, они — всего лишь заблуждение, и во время Суда все они будут уничтожены.
19 The portion2506 of Jacob3290 is not like them; for he is the former3335 of all3605 things: and Israel is the rod7626 of his inheritance:5159 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 is his name.8034
19 Но Господь, Который есть доля Иакова, — совсем иной, не сравнить Его с этими никчёмными статуями. Бог Иакова — Творец всего, Бог создал Свой особый народ. Имя Его — Господь Всемогущий!
20 You are my battle4661 ax4661 and weapons3627 of war:4421 for with you will I break5310 in pieces the nations,1471 and with you will I destroy7843 kingdoms;4467
20 Господь говорит: «Вавилон, ты — Моё орудие, Мой молот. Тобою Я царства разрушал и сокрушал народы.
21 And with you will I break5310 in pieces the horse5483 and his rider;7392 and with you will I break5310 in pieces the chariot7393 and his rider;7392
21 Я поражал тобой всадника и коня, колесницу и её возницу,
22 With you also will I break5310 in pieces man376 and woman;802 and with you will I break5310 in pieces old2205 and young;5288 and with you will I break5310 in pieces the young970 man and the maid;1330
22 женщину и мужчину, старого и молодого, юношу и девушку.
23 I will also break5310 in pieces with you the shepherd7462 and his flock;5739 and with you will I break5310 in pieces the farmer406 and his yoke6776 of oxen; and with you will I break5310 in pieces captains6346 and rulers.5461
23 Я поражал тобой пастухов и стада, быков и землепашцев, правителей и князей.
24 And I will render7999 to Babylon894 and to all3605 the inhabitants3427 of Chaldea3778 all3605 their evil7451 that they have done6213 in Zion6726 in your sight,5869 said5002 the LORD.3068
24 Я отплачу Вавилону и народу его за всё то зло, что они причинили Сиону, и Иудея это увидит». Так говорит Господь.
25 Behold,2005 I am against413 you, O destroying4889 mountain,2022 said5002 the LORD,3068 which destroy7843 all3605 the earth:776 and I will stretch5186 out my hand3027 on you, and roll1556 you down from the rocks,5553 and will make5414 you a burnt8316 mountain.2022
25 Господь говорит: «Вавилон, ты подобен вулкану, несущему погибель всей земле, ты разрушил целую страну. Но Я, Господь, — против тебя, Я наложу на тебя Мою руку, превратив тебя в обгорелую гору, а затем сброшу со скалы.
26 And they shall not take3947 of you a stone68 for a corner,6438 nor a stone68 for foundations;4146 but you shall be desolate8077 for ever,5769 said5002 the LORD.3068
26 И не возьмут люди из Вавилона ни камня, чтоб заложить фундамент. Таких камней не найдётся, потому что ты превратишься в вечные руины». Так говорит Господь:
27 Set5375 you up a standard5251 in the land,776 blow8628 the trumpet7782 among the nations,1471 prepare6942 the nations1471 against5921 her, call8085 together against5921 her the kingdoms4467 of Ararat,780 Minni,4508 and Ashchenaz;813 appoint6485 a captain2951 against5921 her; cause the horses5483 to come5927 up as the rough5569 caterpillars.3218
27 «Флаг войны над землёй поднимите, трубите в трубы среди народов. Вы, царства Арарат, Мини и Аскеназ, готовьтесь для битвы с Вавилоном. Вождя во главе поставьте, пусть конница будет такой же многочисленной, как налетающие тучи саранчи.
28 Prepare6942 against5921 her the nations1471 with the kings4428 of the Medes,4074 the captains6346 thereof, and all3605 the rulers5461 thereof, and all3605 the land776 of his dominion.4475
28 Пусть будут готовы народы к битве с Вавилоном. Подготовьте царей Мидии, правителей и князей, чтобы их страны были готовы к войне с Вавилоном.
29 And the land776 shall tremble7493 and sorrow:2342 for every purpose4284 of the LORD3068 shall be performed6965 against5921 Babylon,894 to make7760 the land776 of Babylon894 a desolation8047 without369 an inhabitant.3427
29 Дрожит земля и трясётся словно от боли. Это Господь исполняет обещанное Вавилону, превращая его в пустыню, в которой никто не живёт.
30 The mighty1368 men of Babylon894 have declined2308 to fight,3898 they have remained3427 in their holds:4679 their might1369 has failed;5405 they became1961 as women:802 they have burned3341 her dwelling places;4908 her bars1280 are broken.7665
30 Воины Вавилона перестали сражаться, они затаились в крепостях; сила покинула их, они стали подобны испуганным женщинам.
31 One post7323 shall run7323 to meet7125 another, and one messenger5046 to meet7125 another, to show5046 the king4428 of Babylon894 that his city5892 is taken3920 at one end,7097
31 Вестник спешит за вестником, чтобы сообщить царю вавилонскому, что город их взят.
32 And that the passages4569 are stopped,8610 and the reeds98 they have burned8313 with fire,784 and the men582 of war4421 are affrighted.926
32 Все броды на реках захвачены, горят переправы, и в страхе дрожат вавилонские воины».
33 For thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 The daughter1323 of Babylon894 is like a threshing floor,1637 it is time6256 to thresh1869 her: yet5750 a little4592 while, and the time6256 of her harvest7105 shall come.935
33 Господь Всемогущий, Бог Израиля, говорит: «Вавилон подобен молотилке, где отделяют зерно от соломы. Для Вавилона наступает время жатвы.
34 Nebuchadrezzar5019 the king4428 of Babylon894 has devoured398 me, he has crushed2000 me, he has made3322 me an empty7385 vessel,3627 he has swallowed1104 me up like a dragon,8577 he has filled4390 his belly3770 with my delicates,5730 he has cast1740 me out.
34 Царь Вавилона Навуходоносор в прошлом нас притеснял, он наших людей пленил, и стали мы словно чаша пустая. Он лучшее взял, что было, поглощая всё как дракон, пока не насытился он, а после этого нас выбросил прочь.
35 The violence2555 done to me and to my flesh7607 be on Babylon,894 shall the inhabitant3427 of Zion6726 say;559 and my blood1818 on the inhabitants3427 of Chaldea,3778 shall Jerusalem3389 say.559
35 Вавилон причинил нам страшное зло, вред от него безмерен, поэтому Я хочу, чтобы это и с ним случилось. Люди Сиона сказали: „Народ Вавилона виновен в убийстве наших людей. Теперь они наказаны за то, что сами сотворили”. Иерусалим так сказал.
36 Therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD;3068 Behold,2005 I will plead7378 your cause,7379 and take vengeance5360 for you; and I will dry2717 up her sea,3220 and make her springs4726 dry.3001
36 Господь так говорит: „Я защищу тебя, Иудея, Я удостоверюсь, что Вавилон наказан, и осушу и море его, и ручьи.
37 And Babylon894 shall become1961 heaps,1530 a dwelling place4583 for dragons,8577 an astonishment,8047 and an hissing,8322 without369 an inhabitant.3427
37 Вавилон станет грудой камней, прибежищем для шакалов. Люди, увидев развалины, будут удивлены и будут качать головами, думая о Вавилоне. Жить никто в Вавилоне не будет.
38 They shall roar7580 together3162 like lions:3715 they shall yell5286 as lions'738 whelps.1484
38 Жители Вавилона ревут словно львы; рычат наподобие львят.
39 In their heat2527 I will make7896 their feasts,4960 and I will make them drunken,7937 that they may rejoice,5937 and sleep3462 a perpetual5769 sleep,8142 and not wake,6974 said5002 the LORD.3068
39 Как могучим львам, Я устрою им пир, и они опьянеют и будут смеяться. Потом они навсегда уснут и никогда больше не проснутся”». Так сказал Господь:
40 I will bring3381 them down3381 like lambs3733 to the slaughter,2873 like rams352 with he goats.6260
40 «И будут они как овцы, козлы и бараны, ждущие заклания, которых Я на бойню поведу.
41 How349 is Sheshach8347 taken!3920 and how is the praise8416 of the whole3605 earth776 surprised!8610 how349 is Babylon894 become1961 an astonishment8047 among the nations!1471
41 Сесах будет побеждён! Лучшие люди страны в плен попадут. Другие народы будут пугаться, глядя на Вавилон.
42 The sea3220 is come5927 up on Babylon:894 she is covered3680 with the multitude527 of the waves1530 thereof.
42 Над Вавилоном море раскинется, и волны покроют его.
43 Her cities5892 are a desolation,8047 a dry6723 land,776 and a wilderness,6160 a land776 wherein834 no3808 man376 dwells,3427 neither3808 does any son1121 of man120 pass5674 thereby.2004
43 Города его опустеют, он станет сухой и пустынной землёй, где никто не живёт. Ни один человек через него не пройдёт.
44 And I will punish6485 Bel1078 in Babylon,894 and I will bring3318 forth3318 out of his mouth6310 that which he has swallowed1105 up: and the nations1471 shall not flow5102 together any more5750 to him: yes,1571 the wall2346 of Babylon894 shall fall.5307
44 Я накажу в Вавилоне лжебога Вила, Я заставлю его исторгнуть проглоченных им людей. Стена вокруг Вавилона рухнет, и люди перестанут приходить в этот город.
45 My people,5971 go3318 you out of the middle8432 of her, and deliver4422 you every man376 his soul5315 from the fierce2740 anger639 of the LORD.3068
45 Выходите из Вавилона, люди Мои, бегите, спасайте свои жизни, бегите от великого гнева Господнего!
46 And lest6435 your heart3824 faint,7401 and you fear3372 for the rumor8052 that shall be heard8085 in the land;776 a rumor8052 shall both come935 one year,8141 and after310 that in another year8141 shall come a rumor,8052 and violence2555 in the land,776 ruler4910 against5921 ruler.4910
46 Не будьте печальны, слухов не бойтесь. Один слух придёт в этом году, а другой — в следующем. Слухи эти будут о насилии на земле, о битве властелина с властелином.
47 Therefore,3651 behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 that I will do judgment6485 on the graven6456 images of Babylon:894 and her whole3605 land776 shall be confounded,954 and all3605 her slain2491 shall fall5307 in the middle8432 of her.
47 Но придёт время, и Я накажу лжебогов Вавилона, предав эту страну позору. Тогда улицы этого города будут усеяны мёртвыми.
48 Then the heaven8064 and the earth,776 and all3605 that is therein, shall sing7442 for Babylon:894 for the spoilers7703 shall come935 to her from the north,6828 said5002 the LORD.3068
48 Затем и земля, и небо, и всё, что на них, восторжествуют над Вавилоном. Они будут кричать, приветствуя пришедшую с севера армию». Так говорит Господь:
49 As Babylon894 has caused the slain2491 of Israel3478 to fall,5307 so at Babylon894 shall fall5307 the slain2491 of all3605 the earth.776
49 «Вавилон убивал израильтян, а также народы всех стран, и поэтому он должен пасть.
50 You that have escaped6412 the sword,2719 go1980 away, stand5975 not still:5975 remember2142 the LORD3068 afar7350 off, and let Jerusalem3389 come5927 into5921 your mind.3824
50 Вы меча избежали, вы должны торопиться и из Вавилона немедленно уйти. И хотя вы находитесь в далёкой стране, всегда помните Господа и Иерусалим.
51 We are confounded,954 because3588 we have heard8085 reproach:2781 shame3639 has covered3680 our faces:6440 for strangers2114 are come935 into5921 the sanctuaries4720 of the LORD's3068 house.1004
51 Нам, иудеям, было стыдно, мы жили в бесчестии, когда в святилище храма Господа чужеземцы пришли».
52 Why,3651 behold,2009 the days3117 come,935 said5002 the LORD,3068 that I will do judgment6485 on her graven6456 images: and through all3605 her land776 the wounded2491 shall groan.602
52 Господь говорит: «Время приходит, когда Я накажу идолов Вавилона. От боли тогда будут раненые плакать по всей стране.
53 Though3588 Babylon894 should mount5927 up to heaven,8064 and though3588 she should fortify1219 the height4791 of her strength,5797 yet from me shall spoilers7703 come935 to her, said5002 the LORD.3068
53 Если бы Вавилон возвысился до небес и крепости свои укрепил сильнее, Я бы всё равно послал воинов к нему, чтобы разрушить этот город». Так говорит Господь:
54 A sound6963 of a cry2201 comes from Babylon,894 and great1419 destruction7667 from the land776 of the Chaldeans:3778
54 «Плач доносится из Вавилона, шум разрушения потрясает Вавилонскую землю.
55 Because3588 the LORD3068 has spoiled7703 Babylon,894 and destroyed6 out of her the great1419 voice;6963 when her waves1530 do roar1993 like great7227 waters,4325 a noise7588 of their voice6963 is uttered:5414
55 Очень скоро Господь опустошит Вавилон и лишит его громкого, горделивого голоса. Враги как волны океанские нагрянут, и люди услышат рычание их и рокот.
56 Because3588 the spoiler7703 is come935 on her, even on Babylon,894 and her mighty1368 men are taken,3920 every one of their bows7198 is broken:2865 for the LORD3068 God410 of recompenses1578 shall surely requite.7999
56 Придёт к Вавилону армия и разрушит его. В плен попадут его воины, и сломлены будут их луки, потому что Господь воздаст им по заслугам за все их дела.
57 And I will make drunk7937 her princes,8269 and her wise2450 men, her captains,6346 and her rulers,5461 and her mighty1368 men: and they shall sleep3462 a perpetual5769 sleep,8142 and not wake,6974 said5002 the King,4428 whose name8034 is the LORD3068 of hosts.6635
57 Я важных чиновников и мудрецов Вавилона напою. Я напою правителей его, воинов его и начальников, и уснут они вечным сном, чтобы никогда уже не пробудиться». Так сказал Царь, чьё имя — Господь Всемогущий.
58 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 The broad7342 walls2346 of Babylon894 shall be utterly broken,6209 and her high1364 gates8179 shall be burned3341 with fire;784 and the people5971 shall labor3021 in vain,7385 and the folk3816 in the fire,784 and they shall be weary.3286
58 Господь Всемогущий говорит: «Толстые стены Вавилона разрушатся до основания, ворота его сгорят, и люди напрасно будут трудиться, пытаясь спасти свой город, — все они станут добычей огня».
59 The word1697 which834 Jeremiah3414 the prophet5030 commanded6680 Seraiah8304 the son1121 of Neriah,5374 the son1121 of Maaseiah,4271 when he went3212 with Zedekiah6667 the king4428 of Judah3063 into Babylon894 in the fourth7243 year8141 of his reign.4427 And this Seraiah8304 was a quiet4496 prince.8269
59 Это весть, переданная Иеремией начальнику Сераии, сыну Нирии, чей отец был Маасея. Сераия пошёл в Вавилон с Седекией, царем Иудеи, на четвёртом году его царствования. Тогда Иеремия и передал эту весть Сераии.
60 So Jeremiah3414 wrote3789 in a book5612 all3605 the evil7451 that should come935 on Babylon,894 even853 all3605 these428 words1697 that are written3789 against413 Babylon.894
60 Иеремия написал на свитке всё, что должно произойти с Вавилоном.
61 And Jeremiah3414 said559 to Seraiah,8304 When you come935 to Babylon,894 and shall see,7200 and shall read7121 all3605 these428 words;1697
61 Иеремия сказал Сераии: «Пойди в Вавилон и прочитай так, чтобы все люди тебя слышали.
62 Then shall you say,559 O LORD,3068 you have spoken1696 against413 this2088 place,4725 to cut3772 it off, that none1115 shall remain3427 in it, neither1115 man120 nor beast,929 but that it shall be desolate8077 for ever.5769
62 А потом скажи: „О, Господи, Ты сказал, что уничтожишь Вавилон и что ни люди, ни животные здесь жить не будут. Страна эта станет навечно пустынными руинами”.
63 And it shall be, when you have made an end3615 of reading7121 this2088 book,5612 that you shall bind7194 a stone68 to it, and cast7993 it into413 the middle8432 of Euphrates:6578
63 Когда окончишь читать этот свиток, привяжи к нему камень и брось в Евфрат.
64 And you shall say,559 Thus3602 shall Babylon894 sink,8257 and shall not rise6965 from the evil7451 that I will bring935 on her: and they shall be weary.3286 Thus2008 far2008 are the words1697 of Jeremiah.3414
64 И скажи: „Вот так же утонет и Вавилон и не поднимется больше. Вавилон утонет, потому что Я сотворю здесь нечто ужасное”». На этом кончаются слова Иеремии.
