1 Вот слово, что было Иеремии от ГОСПОДА:

2 «Слушай слова этого Завета, Союза, и провозгласи их живущим в Иудее и обитателям Иерусалима.

3 Скажи им: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израилев: „Проклят человек, что не исполняет условий Завета, Союза,

4 не повинуется тому, что Я заповедал отцам вашим, когда вывел их из Египта, из печи плавильной“. Я говорил им тогда: „Слушайте Меня и поступайте так, как Я велел вам, и вы будете Моим народом, а Я буду вашим Богом,

5 чтобы исполнить Мне клятву, которую Я дал еще отцам вашим, что отдам им землю, источающую молоко и мед, как это и есть ныне““». И я ответил: «Да будет так, ГОСПОДИ!»

6 И еще сказал мне ГОСПОДЬ: «Провозгласи эту весть в городах Иудеи и на улицах Иерусалима: „Слушайте слова этого Завета, Союза, и повинуйтесь им,

7 ибо Я настойчиво увещевал отцов ваших еще тогда, когда вывел их из Египта, и до сего дня увещевал постоянно, вновь и вновь повторяя: „Повинуйтесь голосу Моему!“

8 Но они не слушались и не внимали, и каждый поступал по упрямству злого сердца своего. Потому Я навлек на них все проклятия этого Завета, который Я повелел им исполнять, но они не исполняли“».

9 Затем ГОСПОДЬ сказал мне: «Живущие в Иудее и обитатели Иерусалима вступили в заговор.

10 Они вернулись к беззакониям своих отцов, которые отказались повиноваться Моим словам, последовали за другими богами и начали служить идолам. Потомки Израиля и потомки Иуды нарушили Мой Завет, Союз, который Я заключил с их отцами».

11 Поэтому так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: «Я наведу на них бедствие, которого они избежать не смогут, и будут они взывать ко Мне о помощи, но Я не услышу их.

12 Тогда пойдут живущие в городах Иудеи и жители Иерусалима взывать к богам, которым они воскуряли благовония, но те не смогут спасти их от постигшей беды.

13 Ведь у тебя, Иудея, сколько городов, столько и богов. И сколько в Иерусалиме улиц, столько же ты наставила жертвенников себе на позор, жертвенников, чтобы воскурять благовония Ваалу.

14 Потому, пророк, не молись за этот народ, не поднимай скорбного плача и не возноси молитвы о них — Я их не услышу, когда настигнет их беда и будут они взывать ко Мне.

15 Что возлюбленная Моя дочь Сиона делает в Храме Моем, совершив столько мерзких дел? Отведет ли от тебя беду мясо священных жертв, если ты злодеяниям своим радуешься?»

16 Зеленеющей оливой, усеянной зрелыми плодами, некогда называл тебя ГОСПОДЬ. Но Он обрушит на нее пламя с ревом великой бури, и почернеют, погибнут ветви ее.

17 ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Тот, что насадил тебя, предрешил навести на тебя бедствие: оно постигнет тебя за злодеяния, которые творили потомки Израиля и потомки Иуды, вызывая гнев Мой тем, что воскуряли благовония Ваалу.

18 ГОСПОДЬ открыл мне, чтобы я знал, раскрыл мне глаза на то, что они творили.

19 Я же, подобно ручному ягненку, ведомому на заклание, не знал, что замышляют против меня: «Уничтожим дерево вместе с его плодами, чтобы не было его на земле живых, чтобы даже имя его забыли».

20 О ГОСПОДЬ Воинств, Ты судишь справедливо, испытываешь умы и сердца, дай мне увидеть возмездие Твое над ними, ибо тяжбу свою я вверил Тебе.

21 Поэтому так говорит ГОСПОДЬ о жителях Анатота, тех, кто жаждет убить меня и требует: «Не пророчествуй именем ГОСПОДНИМ, иначе погибнешь ты от руки нашей».

22 Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ Воинств: «Вот Я воздам им по делам: юношей их мечом истребят, сыновья их и дочери от голода умрут.

23 Никому из них не уцелеть, так как Я обрушу бедствие на жителей Анатота в год возмездия».

3 And say559 thou unto413 them, Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel;3478 Cursed779 be the man376 that834 obeyeth8085 not3808 853 the words1697 of this2063 covenant,1285

4 Which834 I commanded6680 853 your fathers1 in the day3117 that I brought them forth3318 853 out of the land4480 776 of Egypt,4714 from the iron1270 furnace,4480 3564 saying,559 Obey8085 my voice,6963 and do6213 them, according to all3605 which834 I command6680 you: so shall ye be1961 my people,5971 and I595 will be1961 your God: 430

5 That4616 I may perform6965 853 the oath7621 which834 I have sworn7650 unto your fathers,1 to give5414 them a land776 flowing2100 with milk2461 and honey,1706 as it is this2088 day.3117 Then answered6030 I, and said,559 So be it,543 O LORD.3068

6 Then the LORD3068 said559 unto413 me, Proclaim7121 853 all3605 these428 words1697 in the cities5892 of Judah,3063 and in the streets2351 of Jerusalem,3389 saying,559 Hear8085 ye853 the words1697 of this2063 covenant,1285 and do6213 them.

7 For3588 I earnestly protested5749 5749 unto your fathers1 in the day3117 that I brought them up5927 853 out of the land4480 776 of Egypt,4714 even unto5704 this2088 day,3117 rising early7925 and protesting,5749 saying,559 Obey8085 my voice.6963

8 Yet they obeyed8085 not,3808 nor3808 inclined5186 853 their ear,241 but walked1980 every one376 in the imagination8307 of their evil7451 heart:3820 therefore I will bring935 upon5921 them853 all3605 the words1697 of this2063 covenant,1285 which834 I commanded6680 them to do;6213 but they did6213 them not.3808

9 And the LORD3068 said559 unto413 me, A conspiracy7195 is found4672 among the men376 of Judah,3063 and among the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem.3389

10 They are turned back7725 to5921 the iniquities5771 of their forefathers,7223 1 which834 refused3985 to hear8085 853 my words;1697 and they1992 went1980 after310 other312 gods430 to serve5647 them: the house1004 of Israel3478 and the house1004 of Judah3063 have broken6565 853 my covenant1285 which834 I made3772 with854 their fathers.1

11 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Behold,2009 I will bring935 evil7451 upon413 them, which834 they shall not3808 be able3201 to escape;3318 4480 and though they shall cry2199 unto413 me, I will not3808 hearken8085 unto413 them.

12 Then shall the cities5892 of Judah3063 and inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem3389 go,1980 and cry2199 unto413 the gods430 unto whom834 they1992 offer incense:6999 but they shall not3808 save them at all3467 3467 in the time6256 of their trouble.7451

13 For3588 according to the number4557 of thy cities5892 were1961 thy gods,430 O Judah;3063 and according to the number4557 of the streets2351 of Jerusalem3389 have ye set up7760 altars4196 to that shameful thing,1322 even altars4196 to burn incense6999 unto Baal.1168

14 Therefore pray6419 not408 thou859 for1157 this2088 people,5971 neither408 lift up5375 a cry7440 or prayer8605 for1157 them: for3588 I589 will not369 hear8085 them in the time6256 that they cry7121 unto413 me for1157 their trouble.7451

15 What4100 hath my beloved3039 to do in mine house,1004 seeing she hath wrought6213 lewdness4209 with many,7227 and the holy6944 flesh1320 is passed5674 from4480 5921 thee? when3588 thou doest evil,7451 then227 thou rejoicest.5937

16 The LORD3068 called7121 thy name,8034 A green7488 olive tree,2132 fair,3303 and of goodly8389 fruit:6529 with the noise6963 of a great1419 tumult1999 he hath kindled3341 fire784 upon5921 it, and the branches1808 of it are broken.7489

17 For the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 that planted5193 thee, hath pronounced1696 evil7451 against5921 thee, for1588 the evil7451 of the house1004 of Israel3478 and of the house1004 of Judah,3063 which834 they have done6213 against themselves to provoke me to anger3707 in offering incense6999 unto Baal.1168

18 And the LORD3068 hath given me knowledge3045 of it, and I know3045 it: then227 thou showedst7200 me their doings.4611

19 But I589 was like a lamb3532 or an ox441 that is brought2986 to the slaughter;2873 and I knew3045 not3808 that3588 they had devised2803 devices4284 against5921 me, saying, Let us destroy7843 the tree6086 with the fruit3899 thereof, and let us cut him off3772 from the land4480 776 of the living,2416 that his name8034 may be no3808 more5750 remembered.2142

20 But, O LORD3068 of hosts,6635 that judgest8199 righteously,6664 that triest974 the reins3629 and the heart,3820 let me see7200 thy vengeance5360 on4480 them: for3588 unto413 thee have I revealed1540 853 my cause.7379

21 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of5921 the men376 of Anathoth,6068 that seek1245 853 thy life,5315 saying,559 Prophesy5012 not3808 in the name8034 of the LORD,3068 that thou die4191 not3808 by our hand: 3027

22 Therefore3651 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 Behold,2009 I will punish6485 5921 them: the young men970 shall die4191 by the sword;2719 their sons1121 and their daughters1323 shall die4191 by famine: 7458

23 And there shall be1961 no3808 remnant7611 of them: for3588 I will bring935 evil7451 upon413 the men376 of Anathoth,6068 even the year8141 of their visitation.6486
